Story
An elite team of SAS special operators battle across the multiverse after a plague of land-hungry sentient robots invade today’s Earth. But, when an aircraft carrier-based counterattack goes horribly wrong, it traps the team in an alien universe with a top-secret group who’ve already saved the world twice. After discovering a dark plot that threatens humanity’s very existence, the two groups jump into action, fighting both on the surface and in orbit in a last-ditch effort to stop the enemy before time runs out.

Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Story
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.

What your favorite authors are saying about Dimension Space:
"Like The Martian on (and above) Earth. An epic survival story with very human characters, clever problem-solving and a gripping mystery. The end left me with no idea where Dean was going with the story, I couldn’t wait for the next book.” (Craig Alanson, The New York Times best-selling author of the Expeditionary Force Series)

Way to finish.
I loved solitude.
I was meh on multitude - I almost put it down because the dialogue was making me want to shove screwdrivers into my ears.. The ending saved it.
Amplitude?
It's the perfect way to end a trilogy. A few twists were predictable, there are quite a few cameos from other Bray narrated books and the final chapter wraps up neatly... but the epilogue sets us up for a new trilogy.
I'm glad I didn't give up on the series. It was worth every credit.

Elements of ReadyPlayerOne + Expeditionary Force +
Groundhog Day + Terminator (writ large)
I found the first half of this third book of the trilogy fascinating and welcomed all the new MCs (except of cource, Chance-y who had NO redeeming qualities.) Then the writing became a bit too cliched what with constant references to 20 Century cultural touchstone movie phrases. Also, while the introduction of the AI-ish war bot was awesome at first, the author decided to transform it into a less humorous and irritating snark Skippy machine. Somewhere near the last quarter of the story, the conversations between the MCs started to become increasingly salty. Some of that is fine, considering the tremendous pressure they were all under but it felt like the author believed that spewing out 4-letter words somehow more emphasized this. It didn't for me.
The ending was somewhat of a letdown in that, other than saving humankind, nothing else really changed in terms of the robot existential threat to humanity.
Lastly, R.C. Bray decided to include more f-bomb bloopers after the ending as he did did in Expeditionary Force-Valkyrie. For what value I've yet to determine.

So, I bought this on release day and downloaded. I PATIENTLY waited for Friday's commute so I could listen with my son (he made me promise). Then I saw messages about chapter three being buggy, and tried to convince the kid we should wait. but OH! we could stream a corrected chapter 3. so we persevered. Damned if we didnt hit a crazy dead spot, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREAMING CHAPTER!!! mother effer!!! Anyway, I persevered, and was on the edge on my seat for several hours! Thank you, so much, Mr. Cole. I enjoyed the ride and CANNOT WAIT for the next trilogy and the clap back. I'm so fricking invested in this series! LOVED IT!

Excellent wrap up and setup!
Once again Dean M. Cole weaves a great story interspersed with humor. While this book is the end of sorts for the trilogy it sets up the Dimension Space series in a way that promises a shift from desperate survival to vengeful offense. I can hardly wait for the next episode.
Julia and Bob perform the work in their standard way...which is near perfection.

I enjoyed Cole's latest addition to his sci-fi series. I was worried about the addition of different characters taking away from the main couple. However, BOb the bot, in particular, was a lot of fun. I was also happy to hear that Cole will be continuing the story with future books.

Possibly the worst sci-fi novel ever written
RC Bray does this best with this one but boy, is it a stinker. Lazy, unimaginative, gung-ho military fiction laced with stereotypes - the egotistical German scientist, the pompous Brit. Worst of all, it demonstrates Cole's fundamental lack of descriptive vocabulary. Like drinking games? Down a shot every time someone's 'eyes went wide'. You'll be unconscious by half way.
Seriously. This is terrible stuff.

Stop writing so many words. Just stop.
I had to look back to my reviews of the previous two books in this series to validate how I felt about this one. And yep - just the same.
If it wasn't for my mild OCD to finish a book series I have started, I probably would have stopped listening to this series by now. I found myself shouting at the car stereo on my daily commutes..." Oh for the love of all things holy GET ON WITH IT!". So many words. Not everything requires describing in such detail. So many words that don't move the plot along.
I have returned other books that have annoyed me. But not this series, so there must be something here. I just don't know what it is. So I continue to listen, and get out of the car annoyed at the world. The problem is that it could be edited down to a much shorter story and nothing would be lost. And no bloody ending in sight, despite this being book 3.
It's a con really. Like one of those 26-part magazines you buy at the news agents to build a model plane. 6 quid a pop. Seems like a bargain until you realise you've spent 150 quid on something you could have bought for 30 at the model shop. And you've still got to send off for replacements of all the broken bits.
As for my review - the plot is silly. Not as silly as book 2 which was very silly. But as there is no obvious cut offs between any of the books in this series (other than the fact you have to buy each one), book 3 picks up some overspill from book 2, despite this one being better overall. But tough - that what you get for not writing any endings.
So to Dean I say PLEASE END IT. QUICKLY.
Edit 16/08/21; It turns our the next book in this universe is a brand new story, so we are not going to get an end to the dimension space series. So rating reduced from 3 to 1 star and I'm very very annoyed, and recommend you don't bother.

Stone the crows! It's Mary Poppins!
Nice to see Dick Van Dyke made it from chimney sweep to RAF Wing Commander.
Leaving aside the awful British accent and laughable British vocabulary, it's a cracking story and stands up well as a follow on to the first two books. I'm really looking forward to the next one, but seriously hoping 'Chancey' meets with an unfortunate accident in the intervening time.
Perhaps he can get run over by a red double decker whilst flagging down a black cab on tower bridge? That would be such a wanky end for such a top hole chap, would it not, me ol' sparrows?

The narration was excellent as ever, and the story was enjoyable. Silly clichés spoiled it for me at times, but others may love them. Would probably still listen to the next one

I'm knackered now
Omg the action runs from start to finish with more twists than a twisty thing.
all I can say is Encore Encore. Roll on the next in this series.

More please!
This is the third book in this series and a little different to the previous two, there are a few more characters.
I really enjoyed this audiobook, I loved the story I was able to remember the characters and not get lost with their names, this was helped by R. C. Bray & Julia Whelan but also by having some characters have some sayings that reminded me of who they were. I felt each of them had their own personalitys and I grew to care about them, if liked them or not is another point!
A really cool book which took me on a wild ride!
There was a slight issue with Chapter 3, which has been fixed before I even finished the audiobook, however the author informed us via email and gave us chapter 3 to listen to via other methods. I only mention this in case someone has left a negative review because that, but I believe it was fixed very quickly.

Less expeditionary force please
I loved the book and the story, but I found R.C. Bray reading out lines from expeditionary force jarring, I would get distracted from the story thinking about the original context of the line - especially because its the same narrator for both books

Frustrating
Well narrated and a decent conclusion to an interesting story.
However . . . . . By book 3 it's become really annoying that every character requires every little thing explained to them 20 times in minute detail.
Worse the characters doing the explaining rarely do it simply and concisely. Instead they insist on drip feeding their responses, only for the other characters to ask for more information.
Rinse and repeat - hours are wasted in boring conversations that should have taken minutes and people's refusal to simply do what they are told 1st time has me pulling my hair sometimes.
Hope the author improves on this, as there's promise here.

A solid trilogy
I enjoyed this series, and am looking forward to the future of the universe, this is largely due to the unique plot and setting.
I do feel there are some issues with character development. they were largely rounded off by the end but I remember getting frustrated\ confused at the actions of the characters which kinda broke me out of the story.
I know the English guy is always the asshole and as a brit I am biased but I feel Chancey's whole character was flat, he was just an ass. right as you think the character had progressed he does the same shit he did in his 1st scene. and because of this vaughn was constantly thinking and saying nasty things which made me like vaughn less. and seriously why is vaughn crapping on their friendly sidekick robot who carries all their shit, does everything they say, has comedic moments and is just generally great because he called home something vaughn asked him to call him. I understand shit talking and maybe it goes farther in this book than I got but it seemed unnecessary. I don't want to ramble anyhow
book 1 was amazing, book 2 kinda sucked, took me a long time to listen to the whole thing, and book 3 has redeemed the acts of the second, and leaves me encouraged for the future.

Thoroughly enjoyed the series and looking forward to the next book.
Just finished listening to Amplitude and I am already missing the characters! Great development, flow and continuity of a set of very imaginative ideas. Happily recommending the series to friends and family.

Brilliant
Fantastic storyline, made all the better by the wise cracking Bob the battle bot, and the excellent narration of Bray and Whelan giving life to the triology. Well worth the listen!!👍👍

Good rousing ending... for now
Really enjoyed the story and narration, pretty sure there was some flexibility on the science, but who cares, it was a great take well told. With the minor exception that either the author or the narrator keeps using appreciable when he should be using appreciative! ‘He looked at her appreciably’ :D looking forward to the next trilogy, when presumably the battle will go to the necks.

Absolutely fantastic
What a great way to end a series. This book was fantastic both Bob and Julia did a great job again with bringing this book to life and continuing on from the first two books and hopefully Dean will write more books in this series because there is many ways to take this story to new levels.
