A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light”. But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all.

Life from the Dead's Perspective
Would you listen to An Uninvited Ghost again? Why?
Yes and love it everytime I listen to it.
What was one of the most memorable moments of An Uninvited Ghost?
Nothing special stands out, as the book flows along smoothly. Thats not to say there were not memorable moments, there are, but no particular one out of many comes to mind.
Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
A super narration by Amanda Ronconi, as are all of her readings.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There are so many laugh out loud scenes through out the story and none that might make you cry. I love this series. Wish I had a ghosternet. Very, clever indeed.
Any additional comments?
I was a little thrown off by the beginning of the book. I had a hard time reconciling it with the rest of the story. By the time we are back to Arlice Crosby from the first chapter I've forgotten about her. I usually start the book from Chapter 2.

A fun Listen
Another great story in the cozy “Haunted Guesthouse Mystery” series which makes you feel right at home. The characters are fun and written to make them likable as well as interesting. The story keeps moving and has a bit of humor and to go with a bunch of plot twists. If you’re looking for something to keep you guessing and smiling I would highly recommend this series.
Mrs. Ranconi does a very good job with the accents and really helps to bring the characters to life!

A positively funny book!
If you could sum up An Uninvited Ghost in three words, what would they be?
Hilariously funny follow-up!
What did you like best about this story?
It builds on the series, while adding new mysteries to solve. The ending was definitely a surprise because the villain of the story isn't who you would assume it was.
What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She brings the characters to life with different voices for each character and in each book, the character's voice doesn't change. I like that in a narrator.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A guest house to run and I have a ghost who wants me to play Sherlock Holmes!

Confused
In the story a ghost, who is blind, relieves messages from an unknown person through a magnetic letter board and magnetic letters. Did it occur to anyone else he was blind? How could he "see" the letters or the message? I admit I may have missed something being this is an audible book. That being said, I enjoyed the story and the narrating and I look forward to the next book! I do hope the same narrator continues with all the books in the series.

Another Instant Hit
I am in love with these books, they are awesome! This one had an incredible twist that left me in the dust!! I love Scottish accents so that was an add plus. I love the author's ingenious use of the word "migraine!" That alone had me laughing till the ghosts came home! Perhaps if enough people listen to this book, "migraine" will become the news all purpose word! These books are the best and you are missing out if you don't give them a try.

Excellent Continuation of a Great Series.
If you could sum up An Uninvited Ghost in three words, what would they be?
Funny Ghostly Mystery. The story is hilarious. The interplay between Alison and the cop, Alison and her mother and daughter, and Alison and Maxi will have you in stitches. The mystery is real and the story has a surprise ending that I did not see coming.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, like all good mystery's this book gives you all the clues. It is well-paced with lots of suspects and little subplots. The ending is a surprise, but the clues were there all along.
Which scene was your favorite?
Maxi's birthday scene. The idea of celebrating a ghosts birthday humanizes the ghosts and is very well written. What do you get a ghost for her birthday? The answer was perfect.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
There's a Murderer in Your Guest House.
Any additional comments?
Fantastic second book to an excellent series. This book is very clean. No sex scenes or vulgarity. The f-bomb is replaced with the word "migraine." This is much more creative than using the actual word.

Lighthearted fantasy fun.
This is the second book in the Haunted Guesthouse series. Our ghosts are back with their living counterparts, and let the mystery mayhem begin.
I don't like to comment on the story itself for fear of spoilers, especially as the story is outlined in the Audible summary. However, I do like to comment on the overall story and performance.
The author does a nice job of keeping this lighthearted fun, but with the mystery infused plot woven into the book. There is nothing taxing about the book, but it's great escapism if you want to wile away a few hours.
The narrator does a decent job, and compared to some out there is easy to listen to.
I have the complete series of Haunted Guesthouse mystery books in my Audible library, and have enjoyed them all. Indeed they're ones I will listen to more than once.
Top marks all round.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
So very old fashioned.

Boring
Was An Uninvited Ghost worth the listening time?
Not really. I became disenchanted with it so put it on while doing the house work just for some background noise.

This book picks up the lives of Alison, Melissa, Paul and Maxi (using the term "lives" in an inclusive way here!) shortly after the end of the previous book, with her first tour group to the house and the shenanigans that ensue. I love these stories 😊
Not my usual thing at all but this is the second in the series I’ve read and thoroughly enjoyed them both.
The who done it part is well thought out and the characters and dialogue excellent. I love the humour (humor to our American friends) just the right level of word play and explanation.
The narration is superb. Again, the right level of characterisation and depth, expertly done. My one gripe - the narrator needs to work on that Scottish accent 😊
I look forward to listening to the next book

Entertaining Froth
Light story, fun, easy listening. The narrator should not have attempted a Scottish accent!

Good story
I ended up getting the Kindle book and enjoyed reading the story, I just couldn’t say the same for the narrator, she has such a strong accent I couldn’t get past it and found it too distracting, so gave up and read the book instead.
