Well done book on a tough subject!

Well done! To put it simply… for a parent to ultimately realize that “I was responsible for their anger” spoke volumes in the way that you attacked this subject. I Will remember this book!

Insightful

I found this book to have a lot of good ideas and things a parent can work on to improve the relationship they have with their child. I found that not everything in the book related to me but I do think that managing your anger as a parent is important and lets face it there are times when it is hard to keep your cool. I found this book to have some effective strategies toward working on that!

Anger management for parents

The author begins the book with the "know thyself" approach to anger management. Understanding your own emotions and your trigger is the beginning step of ending the destructive cycles of negative emotions. I love the author suggestion of how to use your environment to reduce stress in children, like spending time and doing activities in nature, because green color helps children to feel more relaxed. I think many of the parents would also find information on how to positively discipline their children and deal with their children's misbehavior beneficial to their parenting experience as these instances could be quite a triggering experience for many parents.

Put anger in your past

This book outlines most effective methods to help you stop being angry.
This is a good guide, though, for anyone who is feeling that parenting, in general, is triggering and gives you some solid methods on how to press the reset button like checking in with your emotional intelligence, taking a breather, and understanding the motivations developmentally of a child's behavior, thus perhaps avoiding your anger with this knowledge.

Very needed for parents!

Many parents use their power as a parent to yell at the kids, but don't realize it affects the relationships between the parents and kids. Understanding the roots of anger and how to break that cycle is very important for parents' and kids' relationships. Not only does this book points out many important why and how to improve and manage the anger of parents' behavior, but also shows you how to deal with an angry child. I like the chapter " create harmony at home" the most because I think that is the most important element to bonding with kids and family especially when the kids become older.

Very resourceful

Bringing kids up in a home that has a lot of poor anger management issues being displayed by parents would result in a dysfunctional home setting. Understanding your anger and how to manage it would help to portray the right image at all times in the home and make parenting upright children easier. Haven listened to Anger Management Secrets For Triggered Parents has helped me to understand how to be able to recognise my anger triggers and how to manage them. It also helps me to understand how to be a better parent to my children. My favourite part is learning how to take care of myself. Recommended!

Great Book!

This book talks about how to control your anger and have the best relationship with your kids. I agree with the author, anger always get triggered in child's childhood. However, the biggest challenge comes when the child has his/her own kids and he/she doesn't repeat his childhood. Unfortunately, I have been around few people who have no control on their anger especially with kids. I am definitely going to give this book to them. Very useful and remarkable book.

Brilliant anger management book!

Dealing with life can be difficult and stressful but even more so when you have the added stress of being a parent. I have seen first hand at how parents can take out their every day stresses on their kids and how kids know which buttons to press! This audiobook is loaded with so much information that will help you understand how and why we get triggered and become stressed. It also show us how to change our behaviours and become more positive parents so we learn to communicate with children and teenagers in a far more calm, rational and confident way.

Even after reading this once, I feel so much more in control of my emotions so this can only be a positive thing moving forward. Great book!

Perfect for people having those one vs one battles regularly!

This is a great book for those situations you find yourself in with your kids, the usual back and forth about getting ready, or eating breakfast, etc!

My favourite chapter was ‘Effective Communication Strategies’ as Emory provided really good, relatable anecdotes that helped enlighten me to become a more effective communication, such as avoiding lecturing, and many other things!

Fully recommend!

Very helpful!

As a parent of 2 teenage girls, there are lots of moments where frustration and confrontation happens! I was looking for a book which had some helpful tips on how to manage my own anger in the moment but also how to recognise the triggers, my own and the kids and avoid getting to that stage of anger explosion.

This book has provided everything I was looking for and more!

Great book, recommend it to anyone struggling to keep their anger in check!
