In 2021, less than 10 percent of CEOs at Fortune 500 companies are women. Five years prior, female executives only made up 4.3 percent of the Fortune 500 CEO. The number is even strikingly lower for minority women. Even though statistics show that more women are obtaining higher degrees than men, women only earn 82 cents for every $1 men earn. Moreover, when it comes to salary negotiation, research shows that both men and women will judge a woman less favorably who asks for a higher starting salary than a man with the same credentials asking for the same salary.

There isn’t a single parenting book that describes the extent of a parent’s worries. We worry about everything from their health to their happiness to the little scrape on their knee to their future careers. But it’s the signs of developmental delays that really keep us up at night. According to Mencap, there are approximately 351,000 children in the UK with a learning disability. In the US, 17 percent of children have delays in physical, learning, language, or behavior development.

Insightful
I found this book to have a lot of good ideas and things a parent can work on to improve the relationship they have with their child. I found that not everything in the book related to me but I do think that managing your anger as a parent is important and lets face it there are times when it is hard to keep your cool. I found this book to have some effective strategies toward working on that!

Anger management for parents
The author begins the book with the "know thyself" approach to anger management. Understanding your own emotions and your trigger is the beginning step of ending the destructive cycles of negative emotions. I love the author suggestion of how to use your environment to reduce stress in children, like spending time and doing activities in nature, because green color helps children to feel more relaxed. I think many of the parents would also find information on how to positively discipline their children and deal with their children's misbehavior beneficial to their parenting experience as these instances could be quite a triggering experience for many parents.

Put anger in your past
This book outlines most effective methods to help you stop being angry.
This is a good guide, though, for anyone who is feeling that parenting, in general, is triggering and gives you some solid methods on how to press the reset button like checking in with your emotional intelligence, taking a breather, and understanding the motivations developmentally of a child's behavior, thus perhaps avoiding your anger with this knowledge.

Very needed for parents!
Many parents use their power as a parent to yell at the kids, but don't realize it affects the relationships between the parents and kids. Understanding the roots of anger and how to break that cycle is very important for parents' and kids' relationships. Not only does this book points out many important why and how to improve and manage the anger of parents' behavior, but also shows you how to deal with an angry child. I like the chapter " create harmony at home" the most because I think that is the most important element to bonding with kids and family especially when the kids become older.

Helpful and practical
This book was really helpful because it takes a holistic approach to anger, meaning it looks at how the parents and children can feed off of each other. I found it very practical with techniques to help manage feelings and emotions that come up. Right now is a very stressful time for a lot of parents, our kids have no idea, it can be hard not to project on them. I will definitely be implementing this in my daily life and recommend it to anyone who is feeling simlar.

brilliant for breaking the cycle
This book helped me understand that I needed to find the root of my anger to control it. It provided solutions on how to break the anger cycle with my children. Managing my feelings and issues with anger was something that was brought down from my family and I wanted to break the cycle, which is why I listen to this audiobook. I don't want my children to manage their lives in the same way when they grow up and I don't want them to grow up in the same hostile environment. Thanks to this book I got to the bottom of my triggers, understand the feeling in my body first before I reveal anger and have way more control over it. Its a never ending job to because this behaviour is so deep rooted but this book provided me with the first steps to implement in my life. This book also taught me some techniques to help manage my children's actions and emotions and be more in control of myself when they do misbehave. It's normal for children to test the boundaries, it's all about how you manage that as a parent. Patience is key, it's a long road but this book a brilliant starting point.

Found this useful
This book was a lifesaver for my friends who have lots of anger thrown about in the family. I understand how stressful their lives are and their home is not a place where they can wind down, luckily this book gave them many tips and tricks on how to deal with emotions in certain situations and I have noticed my friends be more energetic and happier. I recommend this!

Very Informative!
A really well-written book, a best guide for parents to learn how to control themselves especially at time when everything can get mixed up with their kids and work around them. The perfect book for managing emotions and connections with kids. Best chapters explain how someone gets triggered and just suddenly burst anger into kids and how you will manage a shocking reaction. This is very helpful to many not just for parents but yeah, overall good content.

Excellent!
Ah. The joys of being a parent, eh? I think we’ve all been in that position where we lose our shit with our kids. This book is great at rationalising why we do with the science behind it. Gives us practical tips on how to overcome some of our anger issues. I particularly enjoyed the tip on creating a daily quiet time routine with our kids. Will definitely implement that!
