Story
Artorian gave up his administrator privileges only to be thrust into a new role. The law he is bound to allows him to slip past Eternium’s ironclad rules and break things once thought immutable. For his family, for all of their futures, he must boldly go where few in Cal like to venture: the game world of Eternia. Most of the people that have come to test this world hate being here: dying in days and returning home in disarray.

Joe takes his first step into exile, and is promptly unable to breathe. This new Zone has a higher concentration of power, magnitudes denser. His first task is to survive, but mere survival is the least of his concerns. The Zone he has landed on has been in a state of constant war for thousands of years, a tug of war between the Elven and Dwarven societies. Not choosing a side is the same as declaring both to be your personal enemy. Though he is resistant, Joe reluctantly decides to go with the group he thinks will help him grow the most.

Story
For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t returned home after the typical probing associated with such things to tell an unbelievable story to his friends. Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Publisher's Summary
New world. Old problems. Even gods must die.
Artorian has been given the lovely opportunity to run a realm and sort out all of its inherent issues. Not only does he get to chase around people with world-shattering abilities and force them into hibernation, he gets to break up his days by living through the worst portions of his life all over again. Nothing like trauma to fuel personal growth!
Nasty creatures Artorian thought were gone forever have begun appearing in the dark corners of the world, smiling at him with too many teeth. Between constant battles, Cal’s newfound love for math and pylons, the early stages of a world-spanning game system, and grumpy supervisors who refuse their bedtime…the sunny administrator has his now-tiny hands full. Exactly how he likes it.

Almost entirely slice of life...
Nearly the entirety of this book is slice of life. There's absolutely nothing wrong with "slice of life" books. I just prefer when there's a more cohesive challenge or conflict that a book orients itself around. This is mostly "administrators administrating".
I'd probably enjoy this more, but the depth of the cultivation system in this world is just so mind-boggling massive that I just can't wrap my head around it. The book does show signs of the game world nearing completion and cementing it's connection with "The Completionist Chronicles".
Baldree's narration is fantastic as ever.

Dennis Vanderkerken is a true master of the pillow
Artorian's Archives is undoubtedly my most loved series. Dennis is doing an awesome job giving us the information on what has happened between the Divine Dungeon series and the Completionist Chronicles and his world-building skills are masterfully hidden within the loving story of our beloved grandfather Artorian. This is a great emotional ride with laugh out loud segments along with cry your heart out. You will not be disappointed. Travis narration of the book is awesome and flawless. The life he brings to the characters are vibrant, comical, and heart felt. Once of the best narrators on audible.

Another great book!
This entry in Artorian's Archives is undoubtedly my most loved chapter thus far in the zany headmaster's backstory. As time marches unsteadily on, the denizens of Cal's soul space continue to grow their organizations and realms as they pursue the creation of Cal's end goal: Eternium, as experienced in the Completionist Chronicles. Complete with an astonishing cameo here at the end of the book, I'm convinced that fans will not be disappointed!

Can't even finish
I have loved all of the other books except this one. I couldn't even finish listening to it and I was very motivated because I was just finishing book 5. It's sad, I thought that the narration from Luke changed a few things, but this narrator, I can't seem to follow. It's part of the story, but too many characters introduced without a background, just got to chapter 11... still no idea of what's happening... I will try to listen again, hopefully I will get it the second time around and maybe give a better review.

Good, but the ending...
so in most of Autorian's Archives the ending sets up for the next book, the same as this one. But for some reason the cliffhanger this time felt...less than the others for some reason. This is more opinion based review and I would still listen again, just probably with the next book at the same time.

the first 3 books were good interesting characters engrossing world but the last 2 I have read go far to much into explaining the processes of the levels and points, mana, pylons gobldee gook and forgot to have a story arch it feels like listening to an instruction manual for something that doesn't exist buy far the hardest audiobook to get through i won't be pre ordering the next one

Another enjoyable instalment in this series
This book felt a little slower than the previous one, in some ways it felt like there was more consolidation and steady expansion of the new setting rather than more drastic changes, but this is intended as a description rather than a criticism because it works well and builds on the major change that took place at the start of the previous book. The main character and his supporting cast continues to be a strength of the series, whether the focus is on learning more about longer term characters or spending more time with new additions to the series.
This was another strong performance from the narrator, helping to enhance my enjoyment of the book with their delivery.
Overall, another interesting addition to this series.

moves on the story but nothing world shattering
more of the mad old schema we all love.
but just that nothing really happens in this book. yes we are getting closer to the end but it just feels like the book is being stretched out for no reason.
there is character development and the interactions with the characters are fun , its an enjoyable book I love the series but I just feel that this book could have broth us close to ware wevare going then it did.
