Great book, great performances

The story itself is really fascinating, and the cast really adds to it. This is an all around classic work. I can't imagine anyone unsatisfied with this book.

Good Acting, but Recording was so so

I’ve read a few Eugene O’Neil plays and, while I liked this one the most, I’ve learned for me his work isn’t nearly as strong as Miller and Ibsen. I’m sure many people will disagree, which is of course only a matter of preference. It’s a quick listen and definitely worth it if you enjoy his plays, but be aware that the sound isn’t great, so you might need to hit rewind . It’s particularly hard to hear Mr. Keach, who does a solid Swedish accent. The acting is top notch though.

Great listen!

The story told here is very compelling. Anna was forced into circumstances she did not choose. Her father was not there for her to support her or guide her. She never met her mother. Sometimes we don’t know what we don’t know and the life we were given is what we know. This story can help many people understand that and no matter what circumstances we experience, we are magnificent beings and when a good heart is present, that is the cleanest gift. No matter what we have done or have been forced into, we are worthy to receive. Anna at her core was a wonderful human being. She did what she had to do to survive. She was deserving of everything that came to her in the end.🥰

Enjoy!

The live performance was beautifully created. The acoustics and subtle effects were excellent. Continue to listen it every couple of years.

Great production

Enjoyed the well crafted production. The ambient sounds were only enough and not obtrusive.

The story so captured the area and time. A good production- really enjoyed it.
