Publisher's Summary

You think Earth is a safe haven?

You think the world couldn’t end tomorrow? Think again. Our world is no longer our own. It’s been taken by beings we could never have imagined. And we are weak. Helpless...hopeless. Hunted.

They have divided us into groups: Harvesters, Gatherers, and Breeders. I am but one of the dispensable. My name is Adira Mosely...and I am a Breeder.

Arrival is a full-length apocalyptic sci-fi alien-invasion romance featuring a resourceful heroine and a badass alien hero who changes her world forever.

Note: There are triggers in this story: Graphic scenes involving violence and death, dark themes, and scenes of a sexual nature. Contains forced proximity and aliens with interesting tools. This audiobook/series is not for the easily offended.

seven out of ten

The narration was stiff but the story was solid.
It became a little wordy here and there but not enough to annoy me. well detailed. would recommend 👌

Excellent writing style!

Different is all I can say from other Sci-Fi Romances! Narrators did a splendid job making the story come alive! I’ll be waiting for book 2!

Annoying and hard to listen to.

The auther tried to use "big words" to make it sound more intelligent... but repeated them so often it just became weird. Then, to top it off, the audio is just annoying. Theres a long drawn out pause between each sentence... You know when you read slowely to a chold so they have time to take what youve said in.... well, this book will make you feel like said child. Honestly, dont waste your time.

HG Wells and Anna Hackett fan fiction

The biggest problem with this book is way too much inner monologue. Female lead flips between warrior to damsel in distress with either a severe head injury. Dialog repetitive and stilted and awkward. Narration is neither horrible nor outstanding.

S.L.O.W.

This is my second of A.G. Wilde’s. I read Xul and really enjoyed it. It is much shorter than this book, but is action packed. Conversely, Arrival is long (too long), and the storytelling is full of redundancy. As well, not a whole lot happens considering the almost 9 hour runtime. The redundancy wasn’t the only culprit though. The narration was so slow and unvaried. I don’t know if that makes sense… they narrators weren’t monotone, but they might as well have been.

Fantastic

This book has a war of the worlds vibe and at very start of the book it has some of same sort of scenes as the war of the worlds. Even though it has some of the same aspects of the original WOTW book it goes in a different direction and THAT’s what I like about it. I don’t understand why more people aren’t giving this book 5 stars as its very different to other alien romance books. I very rarely read books but I did with the other two so far in the series and trust me they are just as good if not better and I will purchase the audio books when they come out as this book was duet narrated which more book should be. I’ve never listened to books narrated by Julie Branson and Gene Branson before, they did a fantastic job and will listen to more books narrated by these two.

enjoyed

Loved the dual narration of Julie Branson and Gene Branson

This was a perfect action/slow burn. The Gryken have come to earth to eliminate and with it all life on there hunt for the next world. The woman are being bred and the men are feeders or sustenance for the aliens .

Adira is captured and used as a breeder, she is saved. Her rescuer Fer’ro is of another alien race .

War of the Worlds meets 50 shades of grey

This starts off much the same as War of the Worlds, A shower of metallic globes falling to earth containing evil aliens, and yes, they also strut around on three legs . They apparently decimate the earth by stomping on everything, unless I missed something. They also collect humans to feed on (more WotW)and breed with. Then, surpise surprise, a small number of other aliens come along to destroy the nasty ones. They down one of the globes and save the three female humans inside, Then after a while, things start to get very steamy between one of the aliens (who bear a strong resemblence to Klingons) and one of the women. There are a few novel ideas which help the story along but I won't write any more spoilers. The book tends to be overdescriptive, being written in the first person, first from the female's pov and secondly from the main alien's. She does go on and on about her feelings which tends to bog the narrative down, but things improve a little once the aliens get involved. The performances are ok, the male better than the female who has a tendency to have the same intonation on nearly every phrase which can get a little jarring after a couple of hours of listening. Overall worth a listen, but not a great or particularly orignal sf book, maybe more attractive for the lover of erotica.

I needed this book

I really really enjoyed this book. It was just what I was looking for. With good well written and well built characters the storyline really did enthral me. I really enjoyed the acceptance of the different race. With lots of hot sexy alien times it was very enjoyable. A brilliant performance from both Julie and Gene.

This felt dark

Alright, so I like my alien romance books ok? Like really like them…

This was no exception, the story has some dark elements, at times I was downright scared. It has a horror vibe to it

The heroine is a strong willed woman and the Hero is an Alien in search for revenge

This was a very interesting read…. I look forward to listen to the rest of the books in the series

Narrators performance was fantastic as well
