disappointing

I preordered this book and was so excited to listen to it but it was very disappointing. Pip was so strong and fearless in the 1st 2 books and I feel like they turned her into a self pitying, whining little girl. Too much inner dialog, it was boring, repetitive and super annoying at times. I kept listening to see if it would get better and of course I wanted to know how it ended but then again I was super disappointed. I highly recommended the 1st book as a standalone maybe even the 2nd but this one was a let down.

That escalated quickly

That escalated quickly and was filled with turmoil and angst. A smart and twisty end to the series.

I fell in absolute love with the character's and the story Line. I must admit, I'm sad that it's over. I'd love to hear about more of the lives of Pip & Ravi. Who knows...... Disappointing Final Instalment

This was a book I’d been looking forward to reading for almost a year since coming across the series. I loved the first book, it is in fact my favourite read of 2021 so far. And I would still recommend it, as it works as a stand alone. I enjoyed the second book, but wasn’t a fan of the ending. I was hoping that this last book, would rekindle my love for the series again but it fell so far. I absolutely hated it by the very end and I don’t say that about many books. The only reason I’ve given this a two star instead of a one, is because the repetitive, erratic, exhausting narrative of a mentally ill person which is what made me dislike it as much as I did, made sense for the arch that the character was given. There are so many other places that this series could have gone. Having the series ‘come full circle’ seemed to be the most important aspect the author was trying to attain, but it ruined the series. I could have listened to a series with 10 instalments all about Pip’s murder solving adventures, instead I was thinking ‘thank goodness’ when it was finally over and the audible credits started to roll. I couldn’t listened to the narrator’s grating voice for one more minute. (I don’t blame the narrator, just the story itself).

Wasn't needed

So sad to say but I legit don't think this one was needed. I get that it kind of comes full circle but something about it just wasn't the same. The first two were fun and very Nancy drew like yet, this one was dark sad and such long inner dialogue that drove me crazy. So yea i get why it exists and this being the last one but damn such a shame it didn't match the other two.

Ruined a Good thing!

This series has been one of my favorite series so far. The story began in a unique way, and it setup a plot I was looking forward to Pip uncovering. It was going to be epic, but then part 3. No spoilers here, but the character arch taken almost ruins the series. I think I waited fifteen chapters hoping it was a dream that the character would wake up from. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Such a disappointment

I loved the first two books in this series but this was such a let down. I was surprised when the biggest climax happened, which was extremely predictable and I was shocked that it was so, right in the middle of the book. After that there was no more character development for anyone and she neglected everyone else’s well being for herself. It was sad that this was how it ended. The narrator did good with what she had but her male voice impressions were so cringe.

MUST LISTEN TO ALL OF THIS BOOK! WHAT A TWIST!!!

I loved this book and all the twists and all of that, however, i did feel like Pip’s character was lost from the first book. I get as the books went on, her character went through a lot and was mentally broken, however, I wanted to see the old Pip come through for this last book. I wanted to be able to feel her old self, how savage she was and would always speak her mind. that said, i loved the book and would definitely recommend this series to friends!
