What she doesn't know ...

The victims are all found face-down in the murky waters of the creek that runs through Cherokee Pointe, Tennessee. They are naked, except for the black satin ribbon tied around their necks. And each murdered woman shares a single characteristic ... they are all redheads...

Just might ...

Socialite Reve Sorrell has come to Cherokee Pointe seeking answers about her family history and her shocking connection to wrong-side-of-the-tracks Jazzy Talbot. With their stunning good looks and shining red hair, the two are mirror images of each other - twins abandoned at birth and raised in very different worlds. And whoever left them for dead on a cold night 30 years ago isn't about to let them uncover the truth now....

Kill her

As a serial killer leaves another chilling calling card in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, Reve turns to Sheriff Jacob Butler to help her unravel the potentially deadly secrets of her past. But someone will do anything to stop her...someone who won't make the same mistake twice...someone more cunning than she knows...and closer than she ever could imagine....

Old Fashion Values

Catalog Plus is a great deal=free!! How cool to listen to the 3rd Book in this series by Ms Barton, who never seems to disappoint. Yes, if you want books 1&2, you can now download and borrow. This book re introduces characters from book 1 & 2, and book 3 fills you in just a bit to make you understand what has happen to bring you to the present. Soooo if you do not love this book, you do not need the other books to complete this tale. The publishers summery is spot on so no need to give away details. Ms Gavin has a rich voice so she brings this author’s work to vivid life. Her interpretation of the author is so well done. Great team. I am a newly minted fan of Ms Gavin and I am listening to various authors she narrates eg Happiness for Beginners, I do use the 1.2 speed to match the tale.

Regretfully awful

I don't even know where to begin. This author took what could have been a decent story and turned it into an earful of trash. The writing was awful, like a HS student's version of a mystery, wrapped in a truck stop sleeze mag, topped off with a really bad twist. Thank God I didn't pay for this. The only reason I kept listening was because I have to find out 'whodunit'. But, even that was a disappointment (LAME). And don't even get me started on the narrator! If I wanted to hear Betty White talk about nasty, dirty, hard-core sex...well, let's just say I never want to hear that, again.

Unnecessarily long

Repetitions, predictable dialogue and outcome , full of adjectives.,and too much sex. I could have written it myself.

Good mystery but see scenes too explicit!

I gave this 3 stars because I was unaware there would be such explicit sex scenes and vulgar language. The reader should be made aware of this ahead of time. The mystery storyline could stand on it's own without the sex scenes and language. I am disappointed in this book.

Great read!

I truly loved this story. It kept me thinking and captivated my attention. However, I do want to say the pronunciation of Sevier County and Sevierville irked me. It's "suh-VEER" and "suh-VEER-ville" not "sev-ER." That is really my only critique.

Terrible Book

Was really hoping for a great murder mystery but this one is predictable. What’s most troubling is the attempt to glamorize rape by describing the scenes in such a graphic way that is similar to the sex scenes.

9 parts fifty shades - 1 part mystery... PASS

I deleted this after 30 minutes... and had already endured multiple raunchy, overly descriptive sex scenes. The final nail in the 30 minute coffin: it's SUH-VERE-VILLE not SEVER-VILLE. It's painfully obvious when research and editing are thrown cautiously to the wind 🤦‍♀️😬

Surprising!

I loved this book. I couldn't stop listening. The ending was surprising and I didn't expect it. I love that the book showed the ability to forgive.

Past Sins

Socialite Reve Sorrell has returned to Cherokee Pointe, Tennessee seeking answers about her family history and the reason why wrong-side-of-the-tracks Jazzy Talbot looks just like her. Surely they can't be related! After all she was abandoned 30 years ago and left for dead and Jazzy has a loving family.

Whilst searching for the truth Reve becomes embroiled in a serial killer case that her annoying and gorgeous nemesis Sheriff Jacob Butler is investigating.

Jacob never expected to see the woman who makes his blood boil and his heart pound again. He certainly didn't expect to get dragged into her troubles. To be asked to help her unravel her deadly past. A past someone will do anything to keep secret...someone who won't make the same mistake twice...someone more cunning than she knows...and closer than she ever could imagine....

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this Audible Plus gem of a book.

Absolute rubbish

I should have ditched this melodramatic stupid story in the first chapters.
It’s more like a sensational Dallas or Dynasty than a novel. Unrealistic characters and a plot with more jokes than a sieve.the only plus side is that I didn’t pay for it.

Ummm...

A book I would never admit to finishing if anyone asked. It's like a Mills and Boon mystery. If you like that kind of thing then have at it.

Not my cup of tea!

Well it was distraction while I did the ironing but goodness me, more "chick lit" than mature read for my taste. Far too many "too much information" sex scenes in this trashy predictable story. No definitely not my kind of book. Unfortunately I bought another by this author at the same time, so it will be quickly returned.

Not a fan.

Too much gratuitous sex. Knew who the serial killer was as soon as his name was mentioned.
