Story
I make a living out of screwing over the jerks who capture and torment supernatural beasties. But when I free a bunch of particularly powerful monsters from their cages, I'm not counting on them following me home like lost puppies - stunningly hot lost puppies, but still. These manly monsters are determined to repay me for my help, and they won't get out of my apartment, until they're satisfied we're even. There's something to be said for allies so devoted they'll tear off heads and shred souls on your behalf. I'm all for joining forces.

Story
Diagnosed with a rare terminal illness, I’ve spent over half my life in the Strand Corporation’s state-of-the-art treatment facility. I keep my chin up and do everything the doctors order, praying one day I’ll walk out of here in perfect health. But when that day finally arrives, it’s nothing like I hoped it would be. Instead, it comes in a hail of gunfire, along with four distractingly handsome men who say they’re here to rescue me.

Story
All I wanted was to find answers to who I was. No one knew who had abandoned the gray-eyed baby with fiery red hair and a cry loud enough to make a man's nuts retract. I moved to Arbor Falls to find myself. Little did I know I'd be thrown into a world I didn't know existed. A world with wolves at each other's throats and enough pack politics and danger to make my head spin. Then there's the fact that I have more than one mate. Not all of them accept me because there's one gigantic problem: I'm not what they expected.

After my plane was sabotaged and crashed into the jungle, I rescued five male survivors from the wreckage. I could have let them die, but no, I decided to pull their stupid carcasses from the wreckage. I’m immortal, not a monster. Yes, they’re hot; now is not the time to do something about that. The five sexy jaguar-shifters are on a mission to locate someone, a rare phoenix-shifter. Phoenix, the legendary creature, reborn every time it dies. Wait…could they be looking for me? It doesn’t matter since they walked away and left me to die in the Amazon rainforest.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Publisher's Summary
Some secrets are unforgivable, some betrayals cut too deep. And this time...this time I may lose them forever.
I spent 18 years as a victim. Eighteen years where I was broken, shattered, pried apart, and carelessly thrown back together. Now, the glue that keeps my fractured soul from rupturing needs to hold firm, or the four fierce lycans who swore to protect me will die to keep me safe....
The Assembly is no place for a human.
Especially not one standing trial. Surrounded by lycans who'd like nothing more than to see me dead, forced to participate in lethal games, and hunted by enemies shrouded in shadows, my world is unravelling. The only thing keeping me sane is the four possessive wolf shifters ready to sacrifice everything to ensure my survival.
But when faces from the past return, the fragile trust I've built with my wolves is shaken to its core, and all the terrible secrets I once did everything to keep are clawing their way to the surface.
Out of time, I'm forced to make a choice. A choice that might cost me everything.
Contains mature themes.

I love, love, love Hope and her (MY) guys but most especially Lucian. His inner monologue and thought process is hysterical and beautiful.
I cannot wait for book 3. I don't know why I torture myself like this- I read this duo and felt the need to hear them. it is everything, don't get me wrong. This series is amazing but it is a major Cliffie so be warned.

Absolutely loved this book!
The story picks up right where it left off from the first book. If you haven't read the first book I would highly recommend it. I wouldn't say this is a stand alone apart of the series, to gain the full concept you need to read the first book. Both of these books are tremendously long, but oh so worth it. The narrators do a good job of pretty much keeping the same accent similar to each other. Hope, the heroine, gains more of a back bone, and finally divulges about her monster. If you have read the first book and you're like me and want to shake the crap out of Hope to just say it, you won't be disappointed. However, that being said it doesn't happen until nearly the end of the book. This book has much more happening in it, and the relationships take some twists and turns. I don't want to say too much and spoil it. Cannot wait for the third book. 😍 🙌

Strong, slow build
I absolutely loved reading this book. I thought I couldn't love listening to it more, but I was absolutely wrong. the characters were brought to life so well by the actor's voices, that I felt like I was part of the story. I love how Erica builds each character so carefully and then makes you feel with their feelings. Each scene is an emotional roller coaster that left me breathless!

Indecisive thoughts for how I feel w/ book 2.....
Firstly, the narrators are amazing! Aiden brings each of the male characters to life!!!
Have you ever experienced heartache & sadness from a fiction story; but also felt frustration? Feelings of attachment to characters; yet struggle to finish a book many, many times?
These are just some of the warring feelings I've had with book 2. I still really enjoy this series, just felt off about dialogue choices.
For me, I originally purchased the Kindle books & I bought book 2 the same week it was released; but I just now finished it last night. With book 2, I kept reaching around the same point (about 25%) & would become frustrated enough to put it down. I eventually bought the Audible versions so I could push on through.
Unlike the slow pacing that worked quite well with book 1, I felt that the slow pacing & repetitive inner/out-loud dialogue, held book 2 back. At this point in the story, we readers know of Hope's struggles & her irrational fears of telling the guys the truth. What I found odd was the need to have those same intrusive thoughts spelled out so often! Since we already know, it felt strange to keep "showing" us the same. It's like everytime something triggered Hope, we had to re-experience the same dialogue & it kept pulling me out of the story. This interrupted intimate scenes, progression points, info dumps, etc. To me, it felt like every Hope POV chapter had this, unlike the seamless flow book 1 had.
Then, so many chapters felt like it had more "filler" than substance; in the sense that the group's relationships didn't benefit or progress from these chapters. It was like having the same dialogue topic shown from multiple POVs, with only a few lines that contributed towards progression in each.
Compared to book 1 when I didn't want to miss a single thing to book 2 where I zoned out for a lot of the "foot dragging" conversations, it truly left me indecisive on how I felt.
I agree with other reviewers that mentioned only the last 10 chapters or so actually gave the progression we've waited for since book 1. I had hoped for more dialogue at these revelation points, as there was so much left unsaid & unanswered (it didn't make sense that the guys didn't bring other things up or ask about particular things). It felt like such a long lead-up & we only got a few chapters with the reveal, before needing to wait until the next book.
I know book 3 will be the one we finally get everything answered & things left unsaid from book 2 will become more clear. Hopefully it will ha e less of the circular dialogue, since things have been revealed & more active/progressive conversation.
I definitely recommend this series for PNR RH lovers who enjoy darker themes with lovable characters!!! ❤️

Let me start out by saying I only just got into audiobooks I needed something to listen to on my commute every morning and I figured if I couldn’t read a book at least I could listen to one and as I love both books and have the kindle edition for them both I thought I’d give this a try well I was hooked from the moment I started listening both narrators do an amazing job what a great way to spend my mornings! If your thinking of giving this book a try do it you won’t be disappointed I know for me these books are ones that I will read and listen to over and over again 😊

Long but probably worth it
First of all, I think the narrators have upped their game with the accents, which makes it less distracting!
Second, like book 1, you need to be patient while relationships and trust deepen before things are finally revealed.
It’s worth the wait!
I can’t believe we won’t see how this ends for ages but I’m sure the author will deliver for us soon enough…

Best Book In A Long Time
I listened to the first book in the Feral Souls Trilogy first. I loved that so I went on immediately to Assembly. I love it when I find such a good book and there are a good many hours ahead of satisfying listening\ reading. Having just finished Hunted but knowing I had another engrossing read ahead, while cuddled up indoors away from the rain, wind and cold outside, I've welcomed in 2022 with a happy reading glow.
In both books there is a slow build up of characters and relationships and the story moves along by moving between the different characters as they reveal themselves and their feelings. There are mysteries, such as who or what is Hope, and the back stories of the men that drive the story along. The lyken world and the rules that govern it also is gradually revealed. There is action in both books though I'd say more in Assembly where you get to see more of this alternate world in action. The four male characters are very different and I've really enjoyed their personalities and how they interact and and the sex scenes , well, they do it for me!

Omg Erica Woods has done it again what an amazing series so far I soooo can’t wait for the next book/audiobook to be released. I would really recommend listing to the series both of the narrators are incredible bringing the story and the characters to life.

Not as good as the first book!!
I don’t usually write reviews but feel I had to with this one. I have the first book and give it five stars but this one I can’t. The author’s favourite words were “I” and “what”. I found this book could have been cut in half if the internal monologue by the lead character was cut from the book as it repeated itself constantly. I found myself skipping chapters every time the lead character Hope started her monologue. The narrators were fantastic especially Aiden Snow.

WOW
WOW how can I go onto another series while I wait for the next book? This was a great book with lots of little bits of information That makes you wonder what will come next. The narrators totally matched my imagination and made it easy to go from listening because I couldn’t stop reading this story. Loved it!

Wow wow wow
So I have read the book 3/4 times and this was the first time I listened. And just wow. It was so amazing. So much life brought to the characters. The accents are to die for. I picked up on things I hadn’t when I read it. Such an amazing listen. I think I will restart it now.
