Publisher's Summary

They say when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. Kenton Mayson learned this lesson firsthand when he made assumptions about Autumn Freeman and the kind of woman she was based on what little information he had. What he finds out is that she's not only beautiful but also smart, funny, a fighter, and exactly the kind of woman he wants to share his life with. Autumn made assumptions of her own about Kenton, and now he needs to prove her wrong in order to protect her and their future.

Where's Sebastian York?

Maybe I'm foolish for purchasing this book based solely on the fact that Sebastian York is one of the narrators.
I made it through about 3 hours of this book and finally gave up. No more than a couple sentences from Sebastian York and the female narrator made a terrible breathy, dry lip smacking noise at the start of each sentence. Also, the story was painfully dull and the female character was so obnoxious that I wanted her to just go away. Finally gave up on this story less than 1/2 the way through.

Where is Sebastian York?

I loved the story, but was disappointed that Sebastian was hardly in the narration. I would like to review the series.

Aurora wrote this in her sleep

Would you try another book from Aurora Rose Reynolds and/or Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York ?

Probably not Aurora, but Lidia and Sebastian are good if produced well.

If you’ve listened to books by Aurora Rose Reynolds before, how does this one compare?

I liked her books before, but this one did not measure up.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The editing was very poor and the performances were uninspired. Perhaps because the material was such drivel, they couldn't get it up?

Did Assumption inspire you to do anything?

Inspired to not buy a book just because I liked the others by the author. Fool me once!

Great Listen!

I really enjoyed Kenton & Autumn's story. She was in danger, she was a stranger and he protected her...Who wouldn't love him! I enjoyed their banter and the sex scenes were hot. The author made the insta-love thing work somehow and I normally dislike all insta-love books. The narration was great too!

3.5 Assumption Stars

Well, I enjoyed this book. I am not a big fan of insta-love but I think this book was done in a way that it wasn't in your face.

I totally like that Kenton was a bit of a jerk, yep I said it. He was, possessive and manly and all-round alpha man. I love guys like him. But he also has this softer sweeter side that you can’t help but fall in love with.

Here is where my rating comes into play.
I liked Autumn very much actually, I like that she was her true self from the beginning of the book to the end. But I kind of felt like she was in her head too much, we do find out wayyyy later in the story why she was in her head so much. But why not ask a question?
I just kind of felt like she was this adult who seemed like she has a good head on her shoulders but she choose to not ask, and communication gets lots. I don’t know that to me is just immature?

Also “baby” as an endearment, it’s great h - e - l - l my hubby calls me that. But EVERY TIME he talks to her he calls her baby. It was just getting to be too much.

Wasn't really a fan of so much bad happening to or happened to just one character always kind of puts me off. I mean it does get balanced out but it just felt like one too many hits, for my liking at least.

I very much enjoyed the narration. I do wish we had gotten more SebYo though. ;)

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Not worth the credit

This is the first review I've done and I've listened to hundreds of audiobooks. First, the narrator was terrible. I usually get over a horrible narrator and become more interesting in the actual story. This did not happen. The story was flat and not engaging. Yes, I've read other books by this author and no they weren't the greatest but not horrible either. I'm sorry that this rating seems negative but I didn't find anything positive about this particular book.

Just read it yourself

Luckily I read this myself before getting the audible or I wouldn't have finished it. The constant nostalgic tone instead of anything with feeling made this seem like a boring book. It is actually a great book. Just read it yourself.

A Really Good Listen

This is a very good book. It’s a great story. You’ll laugh and cry, but overall, you will enjoy your listen. It’s a very heat warming story about a girl coming into her own and her finding love and triumphing over the adversaries in her life. I loved it!!!

Great story.

OMG! I’m in love with this story, the characters, the plot. Such a fun and memorable story, this is the kind of books that I love. Never boring, funny and keep my interest from beginning to the end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Good story

But this was the first book I’ve ever listened to in where I had to actually speed up the narration because it was too slow. I was also disappointed that Sebastian York didn’t have much voice in this at all. Story was good though.

Great characters, with an interesting storyline.
Aurora Rose Reynolds hits it out of the park with this book, though I love the entire series
