Publisher's Summary

An actor, a model, and a younger man walk into a therapist’s office.... They’re all Dylan Brodie. It’s only funny if you aren’t the single mom therapist he can’t stop flirting with.

Dear Mr. Brodie,

I hope this email finds you well.
Your well-being and personal growth are of the utmost importance to me, as a therapist.
As such, I have decided it is in your best interest to continue individual therapy with another practitioner.
This is due to the potential for boundaries being crossed between us.
Attached is a list of colleagues I would recommend for you.

Sincerely,
Scarlett Shepard, MS, MFT

Dear Scarlett,

Cool.
Consider our sessions terminated.
Now I can tell you how beautiful you are and how attracted I am to you.
Let’s start crossing boundaries over dinner tonight.
You’ll say it would be unethical, and I’ll point out that we’ve only had a few sessions.
You’ll cite the age difference, and I’ll tell you how hot it is that you’re six years older than me.
You’ll say you’re a mom, and I’ll remind you that I think your son is awesome.
We don’t have to discuss my former attachments to former co-stars ever again.
This is due to the fact that clearly my only personality issue is that I’m irresistible.

Yours in well-being and personal growth,
Dylan Brodie, W.M.H.T.A.T.Y.E.H. (Way More Handsome and Talented Actor Than Your Ex-Husband)

This is a duet-style audiobook, starring Zachary Webber and Emily Woo Zeller. Featuring Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Mackenzie Cartwright, Connor Crais, and Emma Wilder.

I loved it 3000!

Meet cute: 3 years ago. Dylan is minding his own business, just trying to get lunch when he sees her. In her red and shoelaces untied. He, in the most chivalrous way, bends down and ties them for her... and nope, nothing comes out of it because Scarlett is fresh out a divorce, with a 5 year old son and last thing she needs is another actor in her life.

Fast forward to three years later and Dylan is yet again being teased by his brothers that he has just broken up with another of his co-stars. He seems to fall in love with all of them. And whatever Dylan does is fodder for intense big brothers razzing, as it should be, according to family tradition.

Trying to get out of this pattern, Dylan seeks a new therapist. He really wants to deal with all this and find a person who can be himself with, to feel safe with, to be loved by and love in return.

Well, well, well... guess who's a therapist! And guess who, in these past three years, watched every single episode of Dylan' s former show on Disney+ because she never got the chivalrous shoelace tier out of her head?

I have a disclaimer: I love Kayley Loring. She's my go to author for when I want to laugh and get the warm and fuzzies while I am laughing. Because that's exactly what this book is. We get the whole Brodie clan in top form. We get Scarlett's family (I just love her mom!!!) and a smart and funny kid in Scarlett's Noah. And we get Dylan, my favorite Brodie of all since book 1. He's all heart. We get Scarlett, whose brain is so like mine I was scared! And Kayley even throws in a cuter than cute rescue kitten!

I love the way the relationship develops and I love how the meddling of both families is so much fun to read! The group texts are hilarious! Mama Brodie is my favorite texter! EVER!

Kayley's writing is perfect for audiobooks. And she kicks butt writing them. What I just read was the perfect script in book form. I can't wait to listen to it when it is released.

I am in love with these characters, with a tiny kitten and little boys obsessed with farts!

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: I love audiobooks. I am one of those people who actually enjoys them as works of art themselves. I don't listen to them to speed my reading (I am in fact a freak who can read faster than listening to the audiobook). I also am that loony who listens to it at 1 speed. I enjoy the performances, the acting involved in narrating. A mediocre book can be saved by stellar narration and a perfect book can be killed by a bad one. And when you get a wonderfully constructed piece of writing like Kayley Loring brought to us in this book and you put it together with a cast of GOAT narrators, you get a unicorn: the perfect audiobook.

You can tell that Kayley Loring writes knowing that her books are going to be narrated. And this series (and particularly this book) was tailor made for the people she cast in to play her characters. Zachary Webber IS Dylan Brodie. Emily Woo Zeller is a new narrator for me and I confess that I was kinda worried because I have a huge soft spot for Scarlett. Well, my worries were unfounded. She so nailed it! And we get multi-cast narration with Jason Clarke, Connor Crais, Teddy Hamilton, Emma Wilder and the official voice of KL's lady parts (listen to Kayley Loring's podcast and you will know what I am talking about), Mackenzie Cartwright.

You get Zach doing little boy voice. (SO STINKING CUTE}

You get a special appearance by Drew Barrymore...

And if you are a Jason Clarke fan, you get Chapter 35. Just sayin'

Thank you, Kayley, for a fairly sleepless night (the ALC copy dropped in my mailbox at 12 am!) but sleep is overrated when you get to spend time having so much fun!

It's (insert a Mama Brodie expletive) good!

(I received an ALC in exchange for an honest review)

Best audiobook ever!

Literally this is the best audiobook I’ve ever listened to, and I listen to a lot. This is the first book where the narrators went back and forth with the dialogue, rather than the male reading the female lines and vice versa. This is an all star cast, for sure. It’s hilarious, it’s wonderful, and it’s such amazing voice acting. I will definitely be re-listening to this one multiple times in the future. If you’re unsure whether to buy it, do it! You will love it ❤️

Hilarious Perfection!

Another hilarious and steamy story from Kayley Loring that will be in my “read again and again” list. “Attachment Theory” had me laughing out loud so many times and I could not stop smiling. Dylan is such a loveable guy that you can’t help being a fan of his from the very first chapter.

Dylan Brodie is a famous actor who has a bit of a problem. He tends to fall for all of his leading lady co-stars on whichever project he is on. The romance only lasts as long as the production and then he’s back to being single. Looking to get to the root of the problem, he decides to go therapy where he meets Dr. Scarlett Shepard. However, these two had a previous encounter years ago where the attraction was there. And it’s still there. But being his therapist, that puts him in the “no-go” zone. Dylan isn’t deterred by this and with a little help from her son and sweet little kitten named Mr. Noodles, he works to change her mind.

Kayley Loring is the Queen of writing funny stories that I can never put down. I love how she adds real life situations into her stories. I love the group chats between the Brodie brothers and the ones that include their parents. Mama Brodie is a hoot and I hope I’m as cool as her when I grow up. And Kayley is always writing strong women who know what they want and are not doormats. Stella has quickly moved up to a favorite of mine and so did Dylan. He’s a cinnamon roll of a guy, who wants to love. Stella’s son was a hoot and if I had a kid, I know he’d be just like that.

An all-star cast! I can’t say enough good things about all the narrators. I love that it’s duet style and we can hear different narrators for different characters.

Fun Read

This was different than most stories in this genre. The narration cast did an awesome job and the narration flowed really well and made for convincing conversations which is a great feat when compared to a lot of other audiobooks that attempt to do the same.

The writing was light and humorous. I enjoyed the interactions between the 2 main characters and all aspects of the story were pretty believeable however, having worked in mental health there's no way Scarlett's actions would not be considered unethical as Dylan's therapist and Dylan's behavior at one point really lacked healthy boundaries and bordered on stalkerish, because he continued to cross the line repeatedly after being told multiple times not to and even showed up at his therapists house without permission or invitation, but I tried to look past that for the sake of sticking with the story.

Attached For Sure

Attachment Theory: The Brodie Brothers, Book 2 by Kayley Loring
Narrated by Zachary Webber, Emily Woo Zeller, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Mackenzie Cartwright, Connor Crais & Emma Wilder

*An actor, a model, and a younger man walk into a therapist’s office… They’re all Dylan Brodie. It’s only funny if you aren’t the single mom therapist he can’t stop flirting with.*

This book was so funny and kept me interested. Dylan and Scarlett were a hoot. The best thing for me was that there was an age difference where she was older than him and also that Scarlett was biracial, bringing an Asian element into the story that I liked. The pace of how their relationship developed was natural and the side characters were great too.
The narration was good and entertaining. Kayley Loring did not disappoint and the Brodie brothers thrive on.

Sweetness & giggles

Sweetness & giggles

Kayley Loring did it again, hitting all the giddy feeling and silly jokes. I love how Dylan and Scarlett have amazing chemistry together. I dig how Noah, her son, is just the cutest darn kid around which ease the tension in the book. Overall, the plot is good, perfect amount of sex scenes, and most importantly, the writing skills are exquisite!!!! You just don’t want to miss this one, for sure and it will be in audio real soon. I did eyeball read this and I know when it’s on audio, it will also provide light to it! So, all I can think about are space farts, caddyshack golfer thoughts, be my perfect melon, that’s so wizard, and fighting like an Irish!!!!

Update: As I expected, the audio cast’s performance were sensational and incredibly funny. Kayley Loring’s books + audio= so addictive!!!

Hilarious! Perfect performance!

This is the second book in The Brodie Brothers series. This series is amazing! I love the cover! Dylan and Scarlett's story is sweet and hilarious!! Dylan, an actor, is handsome. Scarlett, a single Mom, is beautiful, caring, and independent. Her son Noah is so cute! This is an excellent age-gap romance. The supporting characters are amazing! The Brodie are fantastic, and I liked their text chat! Some scenes are hilarious! The cast of narrators did a wonderful job with the narration. Zachary Webber and Emily Woo Zeller did a fantastic job with the narration, along with Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Mackenzie Cartwright, Connor Crais, and Emma Wilder. This audiobook is very pleasant to listen to. Kayley Loring never disappoints. If you like Romantic Comedy, this series definitely is for you!

How does Kayley Loring do it?

How does Kayley Loring do it? Every time I listen to one of her books, I think this is the best she has written. Each one hysterically funny, easy to relate to and ah the romance! These Brodie men are the best! We met Dylan in Owen's story, and no, you don't have to listened to Owen to understand this one, they all stand alone(but grab it anyway, you will want to!). Falling in love with his co-stars is a given with each of his acting jobs. But now he is home. And circumstances bring him into the orbit of a woman he met in passing several years ago. The draw he feels is still there. Scarlett is a therapist and mother, divorced from an actor and has no intentions of getting involved with another. There is something about Dylan though. Witty banter, an amazing child(Noah steals the show with his random trivia), engaging emails and a falling in love story that had my earbuds latched in from beginning to end. I could not stop! Laughing out loud is the best, and that warm feeling in your heart as they fall in love is just icing on the cake. I absolutely love this and can't wait for the Miles, the grumpy one who I know I will fall for the hardest!

I do think that Kayley has a cast in mind as she writes because it is the only way should could match them so perfectly. Zachary Webber is fantastic as Dylan. He has that carefree, playboy sound with an amazing comedic timing. Not to mention his amazing ability to do child voices. Emily Woo Zeller is Scarlett! From the first line, I could feel how connected she is with her character, giving her the nuances and feelings to make her real. Add in the incredible talents of the full cast, and I could not have been a happier listener!

Hilarious audio that will have you laughing hard!

This audiobook is hilarious. This is book 2 in the Brodie Brothers Series and is a full cast audiobook. I found out while listening to a podcast that Kayley wrote this book with certain narrators in mind and specifically with the audio version in mind. It shows and the production is top notch for a seamless finish.

Dylan is an actor and Scarlet is his therapist and although there are feelings and relationship stuff in this book, it is the funnies that makes it so freaking good. From f@rt jokes to cute kittens, to side splitting family group chats, this book is a winner. Who knew Family Feud could be so flippin’ funny?!!

I want Mamma Brodie to be in my family, we both have issues with autocorrect, hers will have you cracking up. I looked like a loon while I was driving because I was literally cackling to myself in my truck.

Mackenzie Cartwright does Mamma Brodie so well. Genius casting, I tell you, GENIUS!! Zachary gives a heartfelt performance as Dylan, the little brother who no one takes seriously. This was the first book I've heard Emily narrate and not only was she amazing and vulnerable as Scarlet but she gives us the perfect pigeon English for her Chinese mum, Evelyn. All those Chinese sayings - SO SO GOOD! Her accent was perfection. I loved all the other side characters narrated by Emma, Connor, Teddy and Jason. All the narrators did a bang up job and absolutely nailed it.

I haven't listened to many full cast performances but man, was this one good.

10 out of 10

Kayley Loring is my new favourite rom com author. Hubby and I listened to this book on a very long drive home. I must say it was the best 7 hours in a car! The book was well written, story kept you there. The jokes were funny and narrators were perfectly chosen for their roles. If you want a light hearted book to enjoy and have a laugh and get some good romance, then this is the one for you.
