Publisher's Summary

A new ship . . .

A new crew . . .

A new crisis . . .

A friend at risk . . .

The Confederated Systems Alliance has spread to dozens of systems, creating the first true interstellar alliance dedicated to bringing peace and prosperity to all inhabited worlds. Unfortunately, some see this new alliance as a threat to their own seats of power, and would do anything to stop it.

After a well deserved rest, Captain Nathan Scott is once again called into action. This time, it is not the fate of the galaxy that is on his shoulders, but the life of one of his dearest friends.

But not all is as it appears.

Boring, mixed bag!

I have listened to every one of these book in the series. This is the most uneventful and boring book of the series.
A third of the book is just simply rehashing information in case someone has never read or listened to these books before. It would be so much more fun if the author didn’t explain anything, thereby encouraging and prompting a new audience to seek out and search the answers through previous books. This is my favorite series of books and I always look forward to the next in this series of books, But in reality, I could have skipped this book and basically missed nothing… I would have missed no great adventure or spellbinding intrigue. If I had to do it over again, I would not buy this book. Throughout the story, I got a sense that some of the storyline was copied from Star Trek (the newer series). Just a sense or feel from the story and that was very distracting.

Last series?

I have enjoyed the previous 2 series in this arc. I wish the author would quit with the "cliff hanger" endings. This one seemed forced, especially compared to the way the first 2 series in the arc were written.

Short but exciting

*No spoiler review*
Pros: This short intro to the 3rd saga was essential and I sorta understand why it’s only 8 hours.
As always the little details are well thought out and substantive. Brown does his homework when explaining things in detail, this book doesn’t stray from that.

I do wish I had more to continue with after such a long break between saga 2 and 3 but the side stories he wrote eased that pain a little.
I do wish for faster paces since I love this series so much, but, I do empathize with the idea of needing a break and taking time to write a great book instead of rushing mediocrity.

Great addition to the series! Keep up the stellar work both of you

New awesome adventure

Ryk doesn't disappoint. I'm enthralled and anxious to find out what lies ahead. Best sci-fi series ever. Needs to be an epic Amazon series.

Exciting and enjoyable read

This space opera saga just gets better and better. It was great to read about the old familiar crew and the new characters. I love the cliffhanger at the end and can’t wait for the next book!
