Publisher's Summary

Ayurveda and the Mind explores how to heal our minds on all levels, from the subconscious to the superconscious, along with the role of diet, impressions, mantra, meditation, and yoga in creating wholeness.

In this book, Dr. Frawley once again illuminates the practical applications of Ayurveda and yoga as applied to the mind. Through his clear exposition of the Vedic principles of consciousness and its expressions, a simple, yet profound approach to psychological and emotional healing is elucidated. This book reminds us that the mind is a subtle organ, whose health depends upon its ability to extract nourishment from the environment. If we have accumulated toxicity in the form of emotional wounds, frustrations, disappointments, or wrong beliefs, eliminating these impurities from our mental and emotional layers is essential, if we are to have true emotional and spiritual freedom.

Truly love & appreciate this book!

This book covers everything very well at a level where people with both a basic and more advanced understanding of Ayurveda can enjoy. If you don’t know much about Ayurveda, but are interested in some of the topics, I still recommend getting this book! It’s not a “light” read, its an book that takes more focus to truly digest. The knowledge here is so valuable and essential. Thank you to the author and narrator🙏🏼

Very informative

This is a very direct and detailed overview of the mind and how it relates to all things. Modern Psychology has only just begun to grasp the concepts presented here. If you want to get insight into what makes you tick and ways to get to a higher awareness, you will want to hear or read this book several times.

Ayurveda and the mind

I enjoyed listening to this book. It's best to pace yourself as you listen to the information especially if you are not familiar with Ayurveda, essential oils or yoga. Definitely, worthy of the time of opened minded individuals.

Great information

Such great information but wow the reader makes me snooze. I have fallen asleep like 5 times listening and glazed over like 40 times. I wish Vasant Lad was reading or someone with a voice that has emotion because Ayurveda is quite heavy and dry so you need a upbeat melody voice. Listen to Ayurveda by Vasant Lad and you’ll hear the difference.
Great information though I will probably buy the book as I won’t be able to get through without sleeping.

Great information, terrible narration.

Incredibly insightful content, very clear and straight forward, however the narrator is so dull, boring and monotones. He almost put me to sleep many times. If you can deal with the narration the information in this audiobook is fantastic.

Brilliant work Sir. Full with wisdom, calmly articulated - a pleasure to hear. Many many thanks.
