Story
He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

These stories revolve around sisters and cousins and the men that come into their lives. The women generally start wanting to avoid the suitors and then generally fall for them. The series is full of snarky comments and funny situations the couples find themselves in. They are fun stories.

Not for Everyone
I am not one of the people these are for.
Cringey one-liners and not much interesting aspects of characters make it probably a challenge for most narrators, so I'll give some more grace to the performance. The story, however... Saying "geeky" guys are less masculine than a sporty, muscled, wealthy, chisled-jaw-having guy is so basic and one-dimensional that I'm sure there would be many incels who would revel in hate-reading it to fuel their demented idea of how heterosexual women view men. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the first story's "I'm-not-like-other-girls" main character, so this is a review biased on just 15 minutes of listening. Take my review with a pinch of salt, of course, but then do also look for better romance writing because it is absolutely out there.
Sorry to be harsh here, but I don't appreciate such bigoted, sexist rhetoric written as cute and understandable. A girl who is excused for saying harsh and rude things about swathes of people because she "reads books" and is a cute girl next door is something society can do without now, I think.

Great Read
Baker Street Sweet Romantic Comedy Box Set: 5 Books was a great read by Angie Pepper. This box set consists of; Romancing the Flower Shop Girl; Romancing the Complicated Girl; Honey, We Missed Our Honeymoon; Dating the Funny Waitress; and Boyfriend Wanted, Must Love Dancing. Romancing the Flower Shop Girl (Baker Street Romance #1) was a good read by Angie Pepper. Tina Gardenia works in a tiny floor shop and doesn't have room for a man in her life. Especially a big strong man like Luca Lowell. He took over the garage down the street. He knows he can't buy flowers for the flower shop girl, so his romantic gestures must get creative. Unfortunately Tina is holding on to something from her past that may be a problem for them. Romancing the Complicated Girl: A Sweet Romantic Comedy was a good read by Angie Pepper. Megan "Meenie" Gardenia has a way of rubbing people the wrong way. She attends a weekly support group but claims that it's to unload her baked goods and fix others lives. There's a new guy at the group, that claims he doesn't have a problem either but he keeps showing up anyways. Everyone except Megan and the new guy notice the sparks that are flying between them. Honey, We Missed Our Honeymoon was a good read by Angie Pepper. Calorie Meyers has a wedding dress in her closet and she is taking her honeymoon at a B&B. The other guests are asking her why she's alone. Calorie meets a new man and he's perfect and thinks the wedding dress in her closet is her best friends. But what happens if he finds out that she lied to him. Dating the Funny Waitress was another great read by Angie Pepper. Peridot "Perry" Langtree is the granddaughter of a famous singer and has a famous mom as well. She can't sing but definitely inherited her grandmother's sassy attitude. Perry is a waitress at Delilah's a colorful restaurant. Crossword Guy is a customer who doesn't seem to like Perry's sense of humor. He comes in every Monday and orders the same thing. On one day he notices his funny waitress and tries to woo her even though it doesn't work. Boyfriend Wanted, Must Love Dancing was a great read by Angie Pepper. Skyler Tegan is a children's dance instructor with a scandalous past. She also despises rich people. She doesn't know that Charlie Ward is one of those rich people she despises. He has disguised himself as a groundskeeper to expose her secrets. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

FANTASTIC WIT, HUMOR AND GREAT VALUE
*Book one, romancing the flower shop girl.
ROMANCE TO SMILE
l always enjoy Angie's humor and witty lines in her books, they never fail to have me smiling or laughing at the characters, their antics and descriptions of the inanimate objects in the story.
The narrator is a favorite of mine and certainly knows how to breath life into words.
RECOMMENDED
*Book two, Romancing the complicated girl.
Complicated indeed
The reason l gave a five star review is: yes this girl was mean, unpleasant and someone hard to be around when you first meet but as you will see that is part of the plot . l would say this story is well written to pull this variety of emotions from you as it progresses. I enjoyed the narrators voice, she can really express a situation.
*Book three, Honey we missed our honeymoon,
Love the characters,
This romantic story is sure to draw you in like it did me, it has an animal draw card and icecream attraction. This narrator always does a fine job of the differing characters and is a pleasure to listen to.
Recommended.
*Book four, Dating the funny waitress.
Clean entertaining and recommended
This is my favorite yet in this series. l have the audio book set and the spark, wit and humor really stand out with the fantastic narrator Tiffany.
Really l enjoyed this good clean story all the way through and l think you will too!
*Book five, Boyfriend wanted, must love dancing.
Fun and Entertaining
Angie's books are always good for a laugh, those sneaky laughs that just catch you by surprise. This books unusual characters are told by the delightful voice of Tiffany Williams. Recommended wholeheartedly by me.
SIDE NOTE; I have most of this authors books and I suggest you also find a series called "Wisteria Witches Mysteries," they are a hoot and my absolute favorites.

Great Value! 5 Excellent Rom Coms You'll Love
Disclaimer: This audiobook was given to me in exchange for an honest review
This is a collection of 5 standalone romantic comedies. Each can be read and enjoyed on its own but taken together the residents of Baker Street weave connections and references between the characters and locations. It builds into a wonderful small town ala of Stars Hollow with a few secrets, scandals and celebrity mixed in for good measure.
My reviews of each of the books follow:
Book 1 Romancing the Flower Shop Girl
Clean Romantic Comedy with a lot of Character
Angela Pepper has a knack for creating likeable, quirky characters and infusing them with life and humor. Although there is no magic in this series like Ghost Hackers or Wisteria Witch Mysteries, there is no lack of magic in the tale she tells.
The characters have nuance and history - so there are some mysteries that unravel about why everyone behaves the way they do. I felt like there was maturity in the way the characters were handled, while still keeping things light and fluffy through the banter and humor. It was a perfect Valentine's Day treat to listen to.
This is short, fun and I loved spending time with the characters and look forward to exploring more characters and romances (like the sister or roommate) in any future sequels.
Tiffany Williams is always a delight to listen to. She brings the story to life in a way that feels like you're listening to a radio performance more than reading a text. She does an excellent job jumping between character voices.
Book 2 Romancing the Complicated Girl
A Treasure of Therapy, Toothaches and Trysts
Although this is the second book in the clean romantic comedy series, this story stands on its own and does not require having read the first one in order to enjoy it. If you have read the first one then you will be happy to hear that Teenie and Luca do make a few appearances.
This book is about Megan "Meanie" Gardenia. She is abrasive, anti-social, sarcastic and judgmental. Everyone else has a problem. She's perfect just the way she is. (sarcasm noted) It's interesting to approach a romantic comedy from the POV of a quick-witted but damaged. Fortunately she bakes so at least her group therapy group puts up with it.
In comes the dashing dentist Drew and they're at each others throats (both metaphorically and literally) They have their back and forth, their ups and downs, clashes and romance. It's a whirlwind.
This is a hilarious character study with a few twists thrown in as we get to know both characters and why they present themselves the way they do. Angie Pepper is always a pleasure to read and Tiffany Williams is always a pleasure to listen to. She voices the ever expanding cast and brings them to life. Her performance is an audible delight.
I enjoyed this story and look forward to further romances in this neighborhood. Especially one for the shy roommate. *hint hint*
Book 3 Honey, We Missed Our Honeymoon
Desserts, Dog-napping, Dresses, Deception, Destiny
This is the third installment in Angie Pepper's Clean Romantic Comedy series - however you can jump in here. There is a new cast of characters and relationships so no knowledge of prior books is required. There is a quick nod to the characters from the first two books but that is all it is.
What a night! Mallory was stood up at the altar and decides to go on her honeymoon anyway in hopes of reconnecting with her on-again off-again fiance. On the last night of her lonely trip she decides to on taking a chance with a young ice cream shop owner and his adorable dog. One thing leads to another and she's taken his dog back home with her.
This story is about trying to figure out when to let go, when to give things a chance and figuring out what you want. As always, Angie Pepper surrounds our heroine with a delightfully colorful cast. There is even some LGBT representation this time around from an adorable couple of older gentlemen.
The romance aspect is not as straight forward but it is endearing and hilarious. Especially the POVs from the dog.
Tiffany Williams voices this eclectic cast and gets to throw in several accents to book. She is always a joy to listen to.
This story will delight you with its charm, wit, humor, heart and a little bit of magic (not of the Wisteria variety)
I look forward to more stories in the world and hopefully get to see more of these characters in future volumes.
Book 4 Dating the Funny Waitress
Crosswords, Celebrity Culture and Co-Op Courtship?
Although this is the 4th book in the Baker Street Clean Romantic Comedy series you can enjoy this as a standalone. No knowledge of prior events or residents are necessary. There are a few quick references and cameos from prior books are made and we learn more about country superstar Lana Langtry's family!
The spotlight falls on an 18 year old diner waitress as she decides on a small change - a hairstyle and the entire trajectory of her life spins out from there. There is a bonafide love triangle at the heart of the story but there are also some wonderful explorations of workplace friendships as well as the life of the family of celebrity.
Angie Pepper is at her best when exploring character relationships of all shapes and sizes and this is a worthy entree, with a generous helping of wit and a soucon of coming of age blended to perfection. It was charming, heartfelt and had enough twists to keep me guessing which is a rarity in Rom Coms.
Tiffany Williams is always a delight and I always know I am going to enjoy the characters she voices and brings to life. Her delivery is so natural that I often feel I am listening to a dramatized novel rather than a reader.
The other books in the series have their charms and are well worth looking into but if this is your introduction then you are in for a treat.
Book 5 Boyfriend Wanted, Must Love Dancing
Cinderella the Stripper - A Clean Romance
This is the 5th book in the Baker Street Clean Romance series by Angie Pepper. Each of the previous books has been standalone and this is no exception. You can read and enjoy this book with no prior knowledge of characters or events. There are of course a few easter eggs and a side character that had previously shown up - with an expanded role here.
The story is a Clean Romance. The main character is a dance instructor who just so happens to have had a job in the past that may have involved more poles and less clothes than she teachers the 10 year olds in her class. A very wealthy country club is opening their own dance studio and threatens to take away the more affluent students and disrupt the long term prospects of her job. She goes to the country club and runs into the handsome son of the owner who pretends to be a groundkeeper. It is a delightful play on Cinderella and You've Got Mail / The Shop Around the Corner as mistaken identities / intentions / past shames / business and romance collide. The narrative is never bogged down or confusing. It was just a blast! Angie choreographs everything beautifully.
Tiffany Williams is back and delivers each role with a unique voice bring them leaping from the page to your ears. She is not a narrator so much as an audio performer.
This a a rom com with plenty of both Rom and Com. You will not be disappointed

A wonderful box set!
This is The Baker Street Sweet Romantic comedy set written by Angie Pepper. You can’t go wrong buying any of Angie Pepper’s books, but to get an entire set for a song? Do it! She will have you laughing out loud, cheering for the romantic leads and promising to stomp out anything that stops them on the way to their HEA! I actually read this set back when it originally came out and enjoyed it then, but there is so much more original content now that it was almost like reading a brand new series! I liked it! I loved it! I want some more of it!

Love the characters
I love the characters I love the narrator I love the author. It’s so great being able to read a book and not going oh great I just got something that I thought was going to be clean and wholesome but instead it’s smut not this one. I am happy to say that this is going to be one of my favorite books to read over and over because it’s a set who doesn’t like to read a set of books. All the characters are so interesting with all their little corks who could’ve thought that you could fall in love with characters. It’s great how she keeps all the characters together love it. If you’re looking for a good read pick this up and listen.

First book was ok…the other 4 not so much.
Maybe I am old-fashioned, but Apart from book 1, I just found the characters unpleasant and far from relatable. There is a difference between Sassy & Nasty, but most of the characters in books 2-5 are just plain rude. And along with some cheap shots at low paid employees in book 5, I could not stick to listening through.
Having said that - if you are one of those angry young people who think being your authentic self means being rude without a filter, then these characters may be relatable for you.
Returned for a refund.

Embarrassingly funny
The humor in these stories is so different and amazing. It is kind of unexpected when you listen to loads of books all the time, even if they are good, to find a new and different voice. And I am overjoyed. New favorite author to follow found. More on sound, narrator Tiffany Williams is new to me as well. And fits this kind of humor perfectly. Even making it better with her delivery. Very happy with this purchase and will be taking a look at more of Angie Pepper´s books, and that of her alter ego´s.
Only problem is the second story, please make sure you won´t accidentally cover your eyes while listening and walking in a busy street. Enjoy!

Characters are very very unlikable
I just can’t get behind any of this authors characters. There doesn’t seem to be anything good or nice about any of them. You need to like something about a character to get on board with the stories. I just have not liked even one of her characters.

Great collection
Easy to read and listen to in audio book format. Each book is different with original storylines, similar themes and an overlap of characters along the five book series. Enjoyable, relaxed reads. Recommend for anybody who is looking for an easy listen while on holidays or likes to listen when they’ve gone to bed.
