Comparable to the first in this series
When I first read The Gray Man I was blown away. I thought I had found a "hero" comparable to Jack Reacher who has been very non-Reacher-like in recent Lee Child novels. Then I listened to the second in the series (On Target) and suspected that Mark Greaney and Child had been colluding to produce mediocrity. Well, Greaney redeemed himself with Ballistic. Enough said.

The Gray Man only slows down for Red Lights
Ready and action and more action - no cut here. Could not have been written or read any better. Absolutely ready for the next Gray Man Novel. If I had to wait 2 years I would still order it today. If you have read the other Gray Man novels then get ready to see his true resolve. This was a great book and I have already seen the movie thanks to the Mark Greaney painting the picture and Jay Snyder playing all the characters. Thanks guys...

Not enough of a plot
I like and read all the grey man novels. This one has too many long dragging out fight scenes and simply not enough surprises or a good "make you guessing" plot. I casually read ballistic while working out but not with great passion or interest.

There Aren't Enough Gray Man Novels
What made the experience of listening to Ballistic the most enjoyable?
Jay Snyder the narrator. Absolutely the best!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like Court Gentry, the main character of the book. The obstacles he faces and how he tackles the challenges at any given moment.
What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?
Mark Greaney continues to put out thrilling and riveting novels about the Gray Man. I hope he writes more. Court Gentry is a sensitive, strong and intense man and throughout the entire novel narrowly escapes impossible situations. Exciting.......
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Nothing. Jay Snyder is one of the best narrators and will keep your attention throughout the entire book.
Any additional comments?
Mark Greaney and Jay Snyder are an incredible team.

Action Packed
Mark Greaney wrote a fast paced action packed story. Court Gentry seemed to go from one impossible to escape situation to another. It was exciting to listen to how he got out of each situation. Greaney description of modern day Mexico may be very accurate from other books I have read. Mexico appears to be reaping the harvest of centuries of corruption. The Gray mans travels through Latin America, Central America and Mexico was like an exciting travel guide. Jay Snyder did a good job reading the story. This book makes an nail biting escape from today's problems, story good for a boring commute.

"I'm Not Trained" - ROFL
This is an utterly enjoyable action series by Mark Greaney with an excellent narrator, Jay Snyder. A wonderful full action thriller with lots of great twists & turns and a lead character who tries to be such a tough guy but who really has a soft spot for the innocent & those in need.
I swear the author has me laughing, crying, cringing and ducking all at the same time. One of my favorite parts is when he finds himself alone with the female lead in a compromising position and says "I'm not trained". Laughed myself silly.
I am looking very forward to future books in this series. Definitely in the top 5 authors I will keep an eye on.

An enjoyable Greaney
Would you listen to Ballistic again? Why?
I could, actually! It's nice and mindless, and I'll probably remember very little of it in a few days.
What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?
He has a pleasing voice. The Gray Man sounds satisfyingly gray. Snyder's marvelous with voices, in my opinion.
Any additional comments?
Greaney has written another book that should do well. It’s the Gray Man vs the drug mafia. Court Gentry gets involved for all the right reasons: honor, payback, courage, etc. The action is well described in the first half of the book, not so well in the second half. The morbidity is a little more than I would have preferred, but the morbid passages are thankfully short. The romance is minimal, and is just right. Though I think the first two Gray Man books were better, I liked Ballistic, and was sorry when it was finally over. Gentry is almost superhuman in his skills, but one can enjoy the action after turning down one's intellectual thermostat. I’ve downloaded Locked On just to have another go at a Greaney. Jay Snyder is an excellent reader.

For those who have not listened to audiobooks in the Gray Man/Court Gentry series by Mark Greaney you are missing what is possibly the best espionage thriller series written by the author who is at the very top of his art. I listened to Ballistic almost 5 years ago but have not reviewed it until now. Ballistic is novel #3 in the 5 novel series. I strongly recommend all books in the Gray Man series. Back Blast, the February 2016 release, is in my opinion the best thriller released this year. Narration of all 5 novels is by Jay Snyder who is superb.

Reasonably Good Treaquel, but . . .
I don't know if the fault lies with the narrator, who's Spanish pronunciation was atrocious, or the producer/publisher who, quixotically, seemingly could not seem to find one person who had even heard the language speaking to review the work. The problem is that Snyder's pronunciation was so bad that I actually had trouble understanding what he was saying from time-to-time and it was bad enough at time to pull me out of the story.
Overall this was a pretty good book. Not as good as the first two. A little heavy handed on the machismo (or, as Snyder pronounces it, "makismo") and I think there were a few areas where Greaney departed enough from trade-craft to be distracting; but overall it was a good enough story to get me to purchase the next in the series.

Another brilliant instalment in the Gray Man series. This time Court ends up trying to help the family of a good friend who met a tragic end. Up against him is a very powerful drugs baron, with a seemingly unending reach.
Ballistic kept me engaged right from the word go, and I found this very hard to put down. The Gray Man series has (so far) been superbly compelling, and utterly action packed all the way through. Brilliant..

The Grey Man series continues- book 3
Court Gentry has been forced back into hiding. He was betrayed by his friends and is being sought by his numerous enemies.
While travelling through Mexico he catches a new report about the death of a Mexican Police Officer.
Years before, the officer, Eddie Gamboa had saved Court's life. Now, Eddie has been murdered by the notorious Mexican drug cartel and his family are in danger.
Court soon finds himself drawn into a war he never wanted. In this war, there are no quarter given...
I think the series is best read in order but this book could be read as a stand alone.

Brilliant again
Great book.
Really well narrated as per by Jay Snyder, I’m at the point where I’m preceding audiobooks go movies now and The writing and narrating in the Gray man series are the reason why.
I’m looking forward to getting on the next book

Ballistics doesn't disappoint with action packed, heart stopping hunt in this Mexican stand off with some truly nasty dudes.

Childish and fairly ridiculous.
Couldn't stand listening to it. Might suit a male teenager. So implausible but not Ian Fleming's standard by any means.

Another great story in the Gray Man Series
Again, very much enjoyed "Ballistic", the third book in the Gray Man Series. The book was full of action and intricate detail made even better by awesome narration by Jay Snyder. He really makes the books with his reads. On to book number 4.

3rd book gets deeper into the grey man
Gentry fights and fights, saves lives and fights some more. Action all the way as The Grey Man takes on the Narcos. Awesome 3rd book in the series.

great series
edge of the seat excitement. The hero is a great character, part bad, mostly good as he thrusts ahead into an exciting plot that leads to yet another book. Cant wait!
