Booo hiss

Ray is an amazing narrator and I love everything that he’s narrated. This novel or story seems like it’s going somewhere and then ends abruptly at around 20% of a novel. I don’t normally check how long the title length is when I buy an audiobook. I learned that lesson here. Less than two hours for a credit? Don’t sell me a quarter of a novel and say that it is a whole novel. Booooooo!!!

Getting my T. Rechs fix!!!!

So happy to see this novela be released! Been jonesing for more Tyrus Rechs. While I absolutely love everything in the main storyline, as well as the numerable expanded series, The Tyrus Rechs series, as well as the Savage Wars series are my favorites.

Another great Tyrus Rechs short story.

I am not exactly sure where it fits in but I'll take any backstory on T. Rechs. This one was short and sweet.
This is not one of my favorite narrators and his discontinuity with established characters should be illegal. There are so many other narrators just in the GE Universe that are amazing, I reaaaaallllly think long and hard about getting an audiobook narrated by this narrator. I absolutely love the story and the authors and will do whatever I can to support them.

New T Rechs!

A perfect addition to Contracts and Terminations. Banshee’s Last Scream is Book 3.5 so you need a bit of background. It’s still an awesome tale staring my favorite bounty hunter.

Assumes you’re already in on their history

I prefer the novellas and Galaxy’s Edge books that skew to the shorter/pulpier side rather than the ones that get too much into military diatribes and dark conspiracies. While this one gets right to the revenge mission, it has a surprising amount of lecturing on the evils of military regimes. Worse, it recaps bits of Rech’s past, but fails to give enough backstory to make me feel anything for Doc and Chapi (Legionnaires that were once tight with Rechs) or Banshee (the dead Legionaire motivating this story). The three former amigos don’t interact very much, other than to set Rechs onto the revenge path. Without the backstory and interactions, this ends up as a solo-mission on the shallow side. The best parts are Rechs and his ship and robot team. This self-contained novella kicks off the Rechs-as-bounty-hunter books in this spinoff Contracts and Terminations series, which go from great in book 1 to meh in book 3.

Great story but…

It’s to short. C’mon guys a two hour audiobook? Loved hearing from Tyrus again. Ray Porter is superb.

More please

As always, great story and a little more backstory for our hero. The ending felt abrupt, but still good stuff!

Great short story with old friends Tyrus Rechs.

I really miss Tyrus Rechs and all the characters from that series. Sad to have seen them killed off and replaced by weaker character copies, weaker plots and stories. This title like the original series, packs the punch, humor, story and action. I wish it were longer and I wish the writers would bring back and add a full side story or two.
