Great for complete novices

This audiobook serves as a very basic introduction to accounting principles and terminology. Intended for those who probably do not know a thing about accounting, it goes over the basic concepts such as balance sheets, double-entry accounting, the accrual principle, and some other basics. Included are several simple examples of how a small business might use these concepts in real life.

Great Audiobook

This is a great accounting book, but I work in a government office and the procedures here are very different that what is depicted in the book. I found some sections very helpful though and if I worked at a small business and was required to set up an accounting system this would have been that perfect book.

Another awesome resource from Gregory Hill

Another awesome resource from Gregory Hill. Not only does he provide an overview of what financial and management accounting are but he also points out why each is used and any limitations. In this book, you will find all the business analysis tools (ratios) you will ever need for cash flow, solvency, liquidity, leverage, activity, and more! He explains which ratios to use and why and the limitations of each one.

Very dry

The book presented a lot of information but was very dry. It might work better as a book to read instead of as an audible book.

Great audiobook - very simple.

Great audiobook. I can't do math (I went to private school) but even I was able to follow the clear, well-written formulas in this book.

Excellent ...

is an excellent audiobook to understand accounting practices, not necessarily perform accounting yourself. Whether this book will be helpful or not depends on your educational goal.
