Publisher's Summary

Noted psychologist and bestselling author shows listeners how to transform their life by becoming the person they want to be.

Discover how to become the best version of you and develop healthy habits, find inspiring new perspectives and live a motivated, joy-filled life!

Who is your Future Self? That question is the answer to all your life's questions. When you know who you want to be, then you know what you're going to do today. That answer directly impacts how motivated you are, and how you feel about yourself. It's the answer to whether you'll distract yourself on social media for hours, whether you'll eat junk food and what time you get up in the morning.

It's not only useful to see your Future Self as a different person from who you are today, but it is also essential. Your Future Self will not be the same person you are today. They will see the world differently. They'll have had experiences, challenges and growth you currently don't have. They'll have different goals and priorities. They'll have different habits. They'll also be in a different world—a world with different cultural values, different technologies and different challenges.

Renowned psychologist Dr. Benjamin Hardy will show you how to allow your imagined Future Self to be the driver of your current reality so that you can change in unbelievable ways.

MORE ARTICLE THAN BOOK…

I’m a fan of Hardy’s work but was pretty underwhelmed by this one. Feels like an article or a blog post that’s been padded (and then padded again) to fill it out to book length…

Personality Isn’t Permanent is a much better (and deeper) look at the same topic.

I got too comfortable...

In my early 20s, I was wide-eyed, bushy-tailed, and visualizing the woo-woo thanks to the Law of Attraction books. Once those dreams were achieved…I settled.

Success—is one of seven threats Ben Hardy mentions in the threat to your future.

Once I hit my 30s, my rational mind couldn’t accept those images anymore. I stopped striving. I stopped dreaming. I only dwelled on the past, and reminisced on my former self.

Backed by research, case studies, and Hardy’s brilliant writing—this book will give you the clarity you need…Your future self will thank you for now.

Pure 🔥🔥from the very first story

I discovered Dr. Benjamin Hardy about 18 months ago with Who Not How. That book was a game changer for me and my business and then read Gap and the Gain. Another wow.

When I first saw the title of this book a few weeks ago I went to his website and was able to download a preview of its first chapter. Now that the book just came out, I immediately started bing listening on Audible.

Wow.

It includes powerful frameworks to help you extract your potential and rise to your future self. It is also backed by science and logic!

You want a game changing book that can lead to a life-changing future, this is the book.

I’m going to be gifting it to all of my clients.

A positive and inspirational book

The religious part seeped through and was a bit much. He tried to make a blanket statement that it doesn’t matter what you believe in but it was obvious he has strong Mormon beliefs. I still enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Outstanding!

This has been my favorite book of 2022 so far! Not since Atomic Habits have I read a book that I immediately started implementing the concepts contained within. I liked this audiobook so much that I ordered a hardback so I can add notes in the margins. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

🤷‍♀️ How is this guy not a household name?!?

Brilliant. 🤯 On par with Stephen R. Covey, Zig Ziglar, and all the greats. This is one you definitely don’t want to miss…like “Essentialism.” He is so well read. Be prepared to hear gems of wisdom from many many books. If applied, this book has the power to completely shift a person’s mindset and trajectory. I highly recommend his other titles as well.

Thank you, Dr. Benjamin Hardy, for another incredible title! 🙏🏼

Excellent beyond measure!

Everything in this book was immeasurably helpful! Thank you for writing it! I enjoyed every minute. I believe this book and it’s principles are spot on for motivating individuals to become more and achieve more just by changing their perspective of what they can become! I will be reading this a second time and this will become a must read for my adult kids! Well done Dr. Hardy!

The narrator talks too fast.

The book was very good. It was hard to digest some of the information because the author reads the book at a very fast pace.

impressively bad

Gave incorrect accounts of people whose stories were told, also using scummy fake gurus like grant cardone to hammer home weak, untested ideas just put a very sour taste in my mouth. Quite a shame, was looking forward to this book as I thought "personality isn't permernant" was a good read and enjoyed his ted talk.

An interesting topic, well explained

Whilst an unusual topic it did resonate. One for me to recap and some of the key takeaways and background points need more time to fully do them justice. On the hunt now for more "future self" development books

On point

Ben writes honestly and from the heart. He uses excellent references from many great thought leaders, who's books I've read, to state and support his relevant points on being your future self NOW! This is a great ethos and this book will give you an excellent basis from which to create your future and live it, right now.

so glad I got this

Ive been following him for maybe over a year now. First off subscribing to his emails and later youtube. I have found on youtube he talks a little too fast and so I stopped watching his videos though, Ive always liked his content and messages. I thought id take the plunge listening to this book as ive never read any of his works before. the book is inspertaional, consise and easy to take in. Thankfully the pacing is alot better in audio books than youtube. Im very thankful for this book and hope to use its knowledge to turn into my future self!

Another Masterpiece by Dr B Hardy

As an avid follower of Dr Benjamin Hardy's work. I was very much looking forward to this book. Many of the ideas and concepts he's shared through his YouTube videos but bringing them all together in this book makes it a brilliant piece of work which he reads beautifully. I love how the ideas are shared with real world stories. Thank you Ben. I've just bought the physical book too and will be rereading this over and over and implementing the ideas in it.

Started off strong and enjoyed the last two chapters, everything else seemed like disconnected stories to pad it out. Will check out his YouTube channel instead.

Pragmatic and helpful

I love Benjamin Hardy's pragmatic approach to life and goals and performance. It's backed by research. The book has some helpful key takeaways that really emphasise what to focus on.

What I don't like are the God references. Not everyone believes in God. Great if you are a person of faith but over half of the world's population, isn't. Any writer that continues to include references to faith, makes me want to read their next book in the same way I want more root canal work at the dentist. Please, keep God and faith out of it. Or announce it as a book for Christians. You can't write about research and make-believe sky Daddy in the same book and hope to come across as credible.
