Publisher's Summary

Having taken the Auction House in Bartertown, Mihalis must now keep it.

Thankfully, five of his sisters, who recently unlocked their 'cubi aspects, have come to help. All of them are members of the self-styled 'Sisters of Steel', and Alska, their leader, is with them. He's feeling good about the situation, as they're all experienced warriors.

However, this still leaves him with other problems:

- A dozen women (who he just rescued from certain death and now has to take care of and protect) and the task of figuring out what to do with them until he can send them home

- Dr. Ruxton, who is most certainly up to something other than what he claims to be, but who has actually done a lot of good in the world considering that he is a ruthless man

- A profitable black market business that needs to be run in such a manner as to make sure that those profits end up in his pocket

- A dark elf house that needs to be put in its place and taught a lesson

Oh, and it just might be true that two of those women he rescued just might be famous. At least it won't be boring.

Be of Good Cheer contains strong language, consenting couples having consenting sexual relations, polygamy, a young lion figuring out his pride, a sheep being fleeced, money being made, hucksters being hucked and succubi being...I think you get the picture. Oh, and remember! If you see a guy in a collar muttering something about two crazed twins as he stumbles along ever eastward, you might just want to head in the opposite direction.

Well

It's a good book, good sequel, good addition to the heritage.
But it feels so damn rushed, almost sloppy. Almost like the author is losing interest in his characters.
Christopher and Jessica did their normal par, sadly the accents are still all over the place though... How do kids have a thicker accent than their parents, it's almost off putting. It's beginning to seem like these are just...

Great Read

Very fun book, a great addition to the series. Start with the Valens Legacy and you will have enough entertainment to get you through a month!

Troy continues to mature

I particularly liked the description of a lion’s view of his pride and territory. The author seems to have put a lot of thought into his character’s motivation and this makes his story flow smoothly. Another well thought out and carefully crafted story.

I have mixed feelings on this one

So I love this world, the valens line is interesting I feel because the author trying to break this series into varies of new generation they suffer from some rush.

I recommend the series.

I really am a huge fan of this series and I'm looking forward to each and every installment. I will admit I was a little gun shy about it in the beginning due to the beginning of Mike's story. there was an element in there that I personally found this tasteful but the writing is so good that it's easily overlooked and the grander scheme of things. the narration team is a top-notch one whose performances I have enjoyed countless times. every once in awhile they'll be something that happens to every narrator especially if they're picking up from a previous narrator. it's a small thing but the line of goblins that Valens deals with I noticed is pronounced differently between Leyland and Christopher. all of that is rather nitpicky and to do with personal taste. I will never knock a book down in rating for not being exactly to my liking. this story was one that I did not wait for the audio to come out so this is me going through the story a second time. our hero finally has his Harem solidified and we've got some elements set up for the coming installment. book five is out now in ebook form which is the third one about Mike and has them going on the campaign Trail along with him taking complete control of the town. something else that I want to mention is the awesomeness that is book four covering brother Troy. I have a feeling that either fans are going to like all of the books or they're going to pick out one of the brothers and just follow that. SJ could definitely use a second book as the first one was in my opinion a little on the boring side. I do try and make it known that you got to be a little forgiving when it comes to the first of any new series and the fact that this is covering the stories of Three Brothers means you technically have three first books so I'm definitely interested in seeing where SJ Story Goes from it's kind of lackluster beginning. all in all I'm always impressed with any author who is taking on such an arduous task. we've got 18 books for the main series and now five out for the children. well done to everybody who's had a hand in bringing this stories to us the Amazon readers and now the audible listeners.

I'm never certain how spin-offs or continuations are going to go but I have to say these books continuing the valence Legacy in a different way are amazing!!

Storyline great, narration not so much

If you're a fan of the series you may issue with the voice characteristic of many of the characters. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the Hollywood vampire accents for young adults growing up in middle of Nevada. I nearly lost it when the were-lion Gregory Sampson who's last incarnation was someone from Sub-Saharan African that migrated to the US. Now he sounds a bit like my in-laws from Wisconsin. whomever is directing these audiobooks hasn't read or listened to the original books. I've listened to Christopher and Jessica on other products, thier performances are excellent. providing different types of characterizations is expected when changing performers, but this is ridiculous.

Amazing!!!

This is the 2nd time I have listened to this story this week and I like it even more than reading it. I really like Chris and Jessica's work from MSEs Star Justice series and how they do this series now. I'm going to have to reread "Troy" & "No place like home " to get my Valens fix. I can hardly wait for the next in the series.
