Publisher's Summary

A high-society wedding party stirs up new evidence in an unsolved murder in this thrilling stand-alone from the New York Times best-selling coauthor of James Patterson’s Now You See Her and The Quickie.

Hamptons sand.... Hamptons money.... Hamptons murder....

When Terry Rourke is invited to the spare-no-expense beach wedding of his hedge-fund-manager brother, he thinks that his biggest worry will be flubbing the champagne toast. But this isn’t the first time Terry has been to the Hamptons.

As the designer tuxedos are laid out and the flowers arranged along the glittering surf, Terry can’t help but take another look at a decades-old murder trial that rocked the very foundations of the town - and his family. He soon learns that digging up billion-dollar sand can be a very dangerous activity. The kind of danger that can very quickly turn even the most beautiful beach wedding into a wake.

captivating

great book, great narrator. would definitely buy another book by this author AND narrator.
author gave enough details to paint a pic without boring the shit out of the reader--perfectly balanced.

Kept my attention

I was looking for something to listen to while I completed a painting. As I scrolled through my credit selections I found that this narrator's voice wasn't great but at least it wasn't irritating. I was wrong. The story was great and well written. The narrator's performance was perfect. Before I knew it, I had listened to the entire book in one sitting. The author kept the plot intriguing enough to keep my attention and try to guess what was to come, even while I was focused on my painting. I think book would make a good screen play.

Terrible narration

ugh, had to stop listening in third chapter. The narrator is AWFUL. Stops and starts, dips his voice, puts emphasis on random syllables, awkward pauses.
I'll have to download on Kindle to finish.

yawn.....

I tried to get into this book, but just couldn't....The beginning is heavy with unnecessary and pointless babble. Poorly written. The narrator tried, which I assume is his best. There is very little distinction between who is saying what.... I got half way through the book and gave up. I wasted my time and a credit on this one.

The Narration Killed Any Enjoyment

Worst reading of a book I’ve ever heard. After having heard numerous books read by Steven Webber, Scott Brick, January Lovoy and others, this book suffered by poor intonation, cadence, and expression.
