Publisher's Summary

She thinks she’s broken and I’m the one to fix her.

As an ex-Navy SEAL there are a few guarantees in life.

Avoiding relationships is one of them. Dealing with PTSD is another.

So when I come across the Reckless Bastards MC, it’s perfect for a man like me.

Last thing I expect is to encounter Jana Carter at a painting class. Don’t ask why I was there.

I can hardly keep my eyes off of her. She’s a shy, sultry vixen, and she grabs ahold of me so hard, I can’t let go.

But, I don’t expect to fall for any women - much less find one who can deal with me and my messed-up past.

Just when I thought I’d built strong walls around my heart, I discover her walls are reinforced with steel.

She’s so pure, so innocent - and hard.

Against all the odds, I want her.

I’ll do anything to have her, to make her mine

Love filthy-talking bikers who can drop your panties with just a whisper? You got it! Beautifully Broken is a full-length standalone romance with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after!

Can the quiet girl save the broken ex-Seal?

Ex-Navy Seal, Max Collison, is attending an art class as part of his therapy for his PTSD. There he meets the lovely, albeit insecure, Jana, whom he is immediately drawn to. Jana lives her life in obscurity, ever since her foster father attacked her and scarred her face. She is brilliant and beautiful but she doesn't see it...until Max convinces her. It took me a while to warm up to Max because he was a real douche in the beginning. Good for Jana that she made him work a bit for her forgiveness. Max doesn't believe that he is worthy of anything since he was unable to save his brothers in arms...typical survivor's guilt. Jana has worked through her own brokenness but still believes that she will never find someone to see beyond her physical scar. This pair have a lot to work through and with the help of Max's brother, Tate, and Jana's bff, Teddy, they figure out that they're good for each other. Sweet HEA.

A Love Story With Blinders.

This is a sweet love story with scared, closed off people. It's one of those books where we tell them to Wake Up and then laugh. I truly enjoyed it and in to the nexted.

Enjoyable Listen

This was my first book by this author, and I have to say it wasn't too bad. Max was a bit of a idiot in some of his treatment towards Jana, but other than that, I really enjoyed this audio! Will definitely check out the next book in this series

ugh...

The narrator's were fine. The story was not. So many cliches used improperly and it was just cheesy

🌻Rather tame MC novel!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

If I had to describe this book in one word, it would be “cute”. This book isn’t very emotionally i
Deep. There also isn’t much MC drama, as a matter of fact, there isn’t much of any kind of drama. The sex scenes are also pretty mild.

For an escape package listen, this book is ok. However, if I would have spent a credit on it, I would be returning it. It’s not a book I’d want to listen to again.

Not bad.

This is the first time I've listened to this author. Very good story with great emotional detail. There was no major drama other then ex-soldier suffering from PTSD and coming to terms with their pasts.

Average

Okay story, okay characters, predictable plot. Not one to remember.

Solid reading by James Larceny and Summer Morton.

Great start to the series!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😪😠🤐🙂

The heroine: Jana - she is reserved and has a scar on the side of her face stemming from a traumatic incident in her past. She is curvy and blonde and has low self esteem due to both her curves and her scar. Especially when she hangs out with her ex-model best friend who gets all the attention.

The Hero: Max - he left the Navy Seals with PTSD and came home to Mayhem, Nevada to find out that his brother was in prison, though his brother’s MC, the Reckless Bastards, took him in and he is now a full fledged member. When his PTSD starts acting up and nightmares are keeping him up at night, his psychologist suggested he take some art classes to calm his mind since he likes to paint so much.

The Story: Max shows up at art class and sits next to Jana and they start talking as they worked. He likes her and is by her. Though he could hardly see her since her face was covered by her hair for most of the night, he thinks she is hiding something like possibly a black eye. When Max does see her scar, he is not bothered at all by it, in fact he has scars all over his body from his time in the Seals.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration. Narrated by James Larceny and Summer Morton, they both have pleasing voices which I really enjoyed. I liked where the story went in this book and how the romance between Max and Jana developed. It wasn’t your typical MC romance, it was more like Max just happened to be a biker. Much of it took place at Jana’s house, not at the MC clubhouse like some biker romances.

a bit lighter than I thought

it's a pretty heavy subject the 2 broken heroes but came over fairly lightly.
I think depth was needed to make me feel. I returned the authors book last time but I do like 5hese storylines a lot better
