Wow! Awesome book

I listen these stories with my daughter and they are PERFECT. We went from listens several books a night to one 5-minute story, and then we bookmark the story we want to listen the next night. Some of these stories are softer versions of some of the more gruesome traditional tales.

Very fun and sweet.

Very cute! There are some great stories, each several minutes long, so short but still long enough to get little imaginations flowing and hopefully send them off to dreamland ready for a midnight adventure. All the tales are just adorable and the narrators voice is enchanting.

Avoid Nightmares!

The stories are simple and sweet. My daughter is calming down faster and falls asleep faster using these stories. Great because we’re getting up early for school. She’s been asking for these bedtime stories.

This book is absolutely adorable and great

This book is absolutely adorable and great. I needed a few stories to read to my grandchildren this weekend and the lights were already out, so to the Kindle we went. I searched and ended up picking this book. Such a great choice. I normally am a fan of pictures but in these cases of some 'extra' stories before bed or to go back to bed, we don't need the distraction of pictures. There is one small picture at the beginning of every story. The girls' really enjoyed the stories and so did I. Great book.

Great short stories!

I have a 4 year old that I listen to . having something new to listen to him is always great. It is great short stories which is nice since I can only listen to him for so long before he gets bored anyway! I enjoy the stories as well so it is great! Good choice for everyone being able to enjoy them! My 10 year old enjoys them when I am reading to the baby as well!

Awesome time spent with your children

I have an extremely introverted girl and she cherishes to tune in. She was able to tune in each word. I've found bedtime stories to be a prefect way to spend some time at night with her, without having tocarry a conversation at all costs. Just enjoy some time with her doing a simple activity toghether like listening to stories.

Not just for Children

The lessons it teaches in the book are wonderful, useful teachings for all of us. Also this is a wonderful resource for introducing mindfulness to children. Great for giving children different tools on how to relax and enter into a prayerful state.

Some lovely stories but…

My kids love listening to these stories before bed, it’s become part of our bedtime routine. The African animal stories are particularly good. I have only rated this three starts as there are some very inappropriate and outdated gender stereotypes, “don’t get your skirt twisted in your spokes” and “you throw like a girl” are a few examples. Shame really.

Got the grandkids to sleep!

The grandkids fell asleep before the end of the 1st story although were alarmed at the mention of a knife at the beginning of the story! Did the trick with an especially anxious 8 year old so I'm happy.

This should be removed!!!

My young son came down crying when listening to the storm. What the hell how is a story about a 5 year old boy being burnt alive suitable for children I listened to the story myself and it was horrific. No way is that suitable for any child it took me ages to console him. I’m fuming this book says it’s suitable for all ages I should not have to check that!

Wasn’t impressed with it

In the first story it uses the word bloody, dumb and ugly. Not something I want my kids to go to sleep with reverberating in their subconscious.

I didn’t bother listening to the rest of the stories.

Not what it says on the tin

I wouldn't recommend this at all. Random, poorly written and not meditative. The stories were not very interesting and they certain weren't suitable for all ages.

Involves children handling knives!

Played it for my three year old and listened in disbelief as the story began with a child named Dylan picking up a knife. He then proceeded to fall into his closet, into vines. I stopped it there because I wanted something relaxing for my child to listen to at bedtime! The part of the story I heard was also read in such a robotic manner it sounded like AI.

Great tune!!

It is a gigantic assortment of exemplary stories and the delineations are delightful. Right now stories are set in the realm of imagination and creatures, and some are in the day by day lives youngsters know about.
