Not at all sleep inducing

This is more a dramatic reading than it is soothing storytelling. The narrators’ voice changes for new characters and their expressive exclamations with shouts at varying volumes do not make for relaxing listening at all. I found it far more jarring than relaxing.

Really excellent listening! Perfect bedtime listen

Both the voices and the stories were perfect for us. The female narrator is hypnotic.

Love it

This is a fun little audiobook to just forget and relax when the time comes to go to bed. Makes me smile and just drift off to sleep. One of my favorites so far!

Skip the Intro

This is a good collection of classic stories but the introduction is terrible. It has the opportunity to be good as it starts off talking about how peacefully children sleep but then it talks about all the reasons you can't sleep, which only serves to remind you of why you can't sleep. Skip it and head to the stories themselves and you'll be out before you can say Wikem, Blinkem and Nod.

Helps me to unwind.

Need to have more stories. Would love to have another book or suggestion of the same type I could download.

Why are you yelling?

The stories are ok, but the delivery is not sleep inducing. The male reader raises his voice so often that itt would jar me awake repeatedly. I had to turn it down so much that I couldn't hear the storyy, almost like white noise, only then was I able to sleep.

Performs purpose perfectly

I really enjoy the range of stories included; there are exerts from some of my favourite books. Beautifully and soothingly narrated to really calm the mind. It is just what I was looking for. Only issue is I'm personally not a great poetry lover and find these short bursts a little boring. However, they're often less than a minute so I can't complain too much.

Not what I was expecting

The stories are of various lengths and some are a bit too ‘lively’ for bedtime.
I don’t understand why these are stories for stressed out adults because the content does not reflect that at all

Enjoyed listening.

A really eclectic mix of stories and excerpts, some of them took me right back to bedtime as a child. Bound to be something for every listener.

Sound mix terrible

Stories are lovely and the narrators are talented but every story goes from so quiet you can't hear it, to so loud it jolts you awake. Found myself constantly changing the volume and losing concentration on both the stories and trying to relax.

too loud for helping you get to sleep

The stories in the book are probably nice. But I want something to help me get to sleep, not something dramatic with big changes in volume.
