Publisher's Summary

Rough, yet romantic. Racy, yet a nice and slow one-handed listen, Best Gay Erotica 2013 is yet another jewel in the crown of Cleis Press' gay erotica.

A Winner

If you could sum up Best Gay Men’s Erotica: Volume 18: The Locker Room in three words, what would they be?

Hot, sensual, sexy.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Best Gay Men’s Erotica: Volume 18: The Locker Room?

Too many to specify.

What does Shannon Gunn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is a great narrator with a varied range of voices. He tells the story rather than reads it. He also makes you believe that passion is genuine and all of the sex scenes are realistic and not over the top. He's one of my go to narrators when it comes to m/m romance or erotica.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The story about Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson was particularly hot.

Any additional comments?

Writers, if you want your audio book to sell, please pay attention to who narrates your stories. They can make or break your book. Whomever chooses Mr. Gunn, you need to give him more work. He definitely brings his 'A' game to anything he performs.

Great column,ç any stories had me riveted

Highly recommend. Many of the stories had just the right balance between plot and sex scenes, and the narration was great. Several of the stories I listened to more than once as they were great ideas. I am definitely going to look for other volumes of this seeing as this is 18. I believe the reference to the "Locker Room" title, seeing as many people have commented there is no locker room story, is about the sort of stories that would be told or talked about in a locker room(?) rather than an actual story.

Locker room?

Still not sure exactly what this collection has to do with locker rooms. There were not a lot of locker room settings.

reader is almost unbearable

the stories are good, and there's a nice variety, but the reader is so cartoonish it's distracting, and it really takes you out of the action. The accents are overdone, uneven, and hokey, and in most cases seem unnecessary. and the pitch during the sex scenes is always the same! the stories deserve a more nuanced voice.

Boring

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I can't think of anyone who would enjoy this.

What could Richard Labonte and Paul Russell have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The writing is horrible. Throughout the book you don't care about the characters or the supposed hot play that is going on. very disapointed

Any additional comments?

There are few really good books with gay themes and the really bad ones like this makes me skip the category. Surely in 2015 there should be some decent gay themed books. I mean really.
