Publisher's Summary

Used. Worthless. Broken.

The Darlings think they won. They think they've beaten me, that I'm exactly what they call me - a dog.

But there are things they don't know about my family. They don't know the lengths I'll go to get revenge. To protect my family. To honor my name.

Devlin thinks he's done with me, but he's wrong. I'll never forget what he did to me, and I'll never let him forget. Not until I've had my revenge.

Because Dolces don't break.

We break hearts.

seconds

this is the second book in the series and personally I think they are getting better. I even went ahead and bought the third one just to see what happens. yes, I believe that you need to read/listen to all 3 just to get the full experience. I also think it's worth it. so the 1st one, the two groups were struggling for dominance and it went one way so in this one it basically went the opposite direction with a twist. gonna let you figure that out yourself.

just wow

Book two picks up without missing a beat as the search continues for the missing twin. This book gets a little bit more dark, and I really feel for both of them because just as they are starting to figure out their feelings for each other, they put their loyalty to their family ahead of that. I am curious as to how this all plays out.
I have been reading and listening to the audiobook, and the narrator does an amazing job with the characters

I'm Hooked! This Story is So Good

Part One of this story was completely made by the narrator for me, but this second part was a mixture of the story itself and the narrator. Amanda L'Obrien's ability with the accents is phenomenal, but the story, and feud between Dulce's and Darling's is getting intense. But even better, we see the relationship between Crystal and Devlin grow into something neither expected, and it throws the entire game for a loop.

I didn't think I would want to continue on this crazy dark bully romance story, but I'm now hooked!

Please note that I did receive a review copy of this story, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Attracted to bad boys.

I loved this second book in the Dark High School Bully series. Even tho Crystal is an idiot and the Darling cousins are the rottenest, cruelest guys still out of jail! How can anyone be so cruel? I was tracking with Crystal and her attraction to Devlin, because I, too, am attracted to "bad boys." But I have to warn you, these guys are way beyond bad!
I was given an Audible version of this book from Story Origin. This is my voluntary review.
The narrator does an excellent job performing these characters. Nice job.
Anxiously awaiting Book 3.

Dark, Twisted, and Intense!

This is the second book in the Willow Heights Prep Academy: The Elite, a Dark Bully Romance Trilogy with an ongoing plot. The story continues where the first book left off. The storyline is twisted, darker, and more intense and brutal than the first book. Devlin and Crystal are surprising characters. They have a devious relationship. Devlin is enigmatic, and dark. Crystal is naive, sometimes strong/sometimes weak, but always reckless. These two together are explosive. The supporting characters have an important part in this story. The world building between the Dolces and the Darlings is complex. Looking forward to listen to Bury Me, the final book in this Series. Amanda L'Orien did a fantastic job with the narration.

Not a stand alone

Picks up from where the 1st leaves off and again ends in a cliffhanger. Uh! so many more twists and turns and honestly some of this is a little farfetched but that's what keeps you listening. again the narration is done well.

Wow twisted and dark

Betray Me is the 2nd book in the Willow Heights Prep series. You must read the 1st book Bully Me.
Devlin and Crystal are like a love-hate story. Romeo and Juliet's story. I can't wait to listen to the next one. I like the narrator's voice, she makes the book.

Double edge sword.

Over all this is a really good book. The story is full of gut wrenching moments that have you gasping in horror or your jaw dropping in shock when one goes from good to bad in a blink of an eye. The continued struggle between the Dolches and Darlings is a angsty emotional filled story. My only issue is there is some repetitiveness in the two main characters. It’s stated over and over. About the third time of the I won’t back down but I want speech I may have rolled my eyes but it’s still really good. The overall story is good and I can’t wait to dive into.

Sucks you in from beginning to end, need more!

I loved listening to this book! The narrator is great and has a perfect accent for what I imagine with the setting and characters. It really brings them to life. This story is dark and there is a lot going on in this installment of the series/story. I would highly recommend reading/listening to the first book before picking this one up. We get to see Crystal going through a crap ton of stuff but she refuses to break. She might let others believe she has but she won't give up on her brother and she is trying to figure out what is going on with her and Devlin and whether there is potentially something else there beyond the Darling Dog and being used to hurt her brothers. There is plenty of twists and turns in this story to keep you engaged and needing to know what is going to happen next and how things are going to turn out with everything. There are questions that are brought up regarding the characters and the secondary characters and it can be hard to know who is telling the truth and who has alternative motives. This story is dark and could have triggers for people. I highly enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next book to figure out exactly how everything is going to turn out.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Which family is worse?

With Royal missing, it's time for the Dolce family to come together and find him. At least that’s what you would think a family would do. Nope not this one.

Crystal is still battling her feelings for Devlin and warring with her family. She wants to show them she is on their side so to gain their trust she agrees to help take down the Darlings. She believes they are the ones responsible for her twin’s disappearance.

Devlin is falling for the New Yorker whether he wants to admit it or not. He helps her look for Royal, even if that means getting his family in trouble.

Tons of emotions in this book. One minute you think they are fine and can survive being together against their family’s wishes and the next they are at each other’s throats to honor their name.

Amanda L’Obrien continues to do a phenomenal job with the narration of this series. Her accents are perfect and make it easy to distinguish between characters.

I was provided an audio ARC of the book and decided to leave an honest review.

Book 2 is even darker in parts than book 1. You think omg how could they for so many different reasons yet this becomes your guilty pleasure because you want to know what will happen next!
