Publisher's Summary

Our unconscious thought patterns determine our relationships, our spiritual life, and our connection to God to a much greater extent than we know. That’s an alarming thought, because the subconscious mind is a mysterious realm that is really difficult to access and influence...right? No. It’s really not! And it’s the most urgent and impactful thing we can do. This book will show you how.

How do I choose faith over fear when my loved ones are making poor choices?

Why don’t I feel happier if I’m reading and praying like I’ve been taught?

How can I stop feeling like I’m just not good enough?

What am I to do when my spouse is judgmental of me?

How do I trust in Christ when everything seems to be falling apart?

Get answers to these and other tough questions in the context of Christ-centered principles throughout this book.

Jody Moore is a Master Certified Life Coach who has taught and coached tens of thousands of women through her in-person and online workshops and podcast. She brings her characteristic clarity, wisdom, humor, and disarming honesty to this groundbreaking book.

In Better than Happy, Jody shows how a simple five-step model she uses in every session with her clients can reveal the unconscious patterns of thoughts that keep us from deeper and healthier connection with ourselves, with our loved ones, and with God. Jody then shows how, once we clear the debris of our unconscious patterns of thought, new streams of understanding of Christ’s teachings begin to flow.

the model + the restored gospel of Jesus Christ = the best book I've read in years. Give it a listen, you won't regret it.

This was a life changing read! I learned so much!

I love this book! It has changed me. I loved learning that my thoughts create my feelings. I also loved the part about how prayer helps us to focus on what's important!

Best audiobook I’ve heard in a long time.

I listen to Jody’s podcast but the book was different. She shared her faith in a way I hadn’t heard before and it tied in so well with her coaching thought work. During chapter 5 I had tears streaming down my cheeks while driving. I felt what I can only describe as “the spirit”. Thank you Jody.

Life changing and inspiring

The model that Jody Moore uses to change our thought process and outcomes is a life tool I am grateful I was able to learn through reading this book. I look forward to practicing and implementing what I’ve learned into my life so that I might be able to create better relationships with those around me, my loved ones and even with myself. I know that by implementing this model in your life, you will find more peace and joy. Thank you Jody!

Not a fan

I really wanted to like this book. I think some of her ideas are beautiful and worth while but overall the book was not my cup of tea. I couldn’t bear to listen to her “call in coaching”. She interrupted the callers multiple times to tell them the way they were feeling was wrong. One call with a woman who was sad about her husband leaving the church was especially difficult to listen to. After the call I felt confused with her recommendations and like she didn’t care at all to really help her.

Pamela Pamela

I am so grateful for this book. After many many years of therapy, a RT, and other self-help books. This is the first time I could really see how I can change my own life and not feel bad about it. But it’s OK to admit imperfection and let people be where they are. I’ve given myself permission to let that go of their decisions and really focus on how to roll my own boat.

Life changing!!

I’m going through a very specific trial right now, and have read several books about that trial. However, this book has been the most helpful for me! I love how Jody explains the thought model and how it relates to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I understand Christ’s atonement better and God’s plan for His children because of this book. I can make choices for myself that lead to happiness. I absolutely love this book and would recommend it to anyone in any stage of life!

I’m Ready for the Next One!

Loved it! I love that Jody followed her prompting and calling in life! I am just one of many that she has helped understand how to live a better life! I’m blessed to have some great friends that are so amazing at helping me through life’s challenges, but sometimes it’s nice to give those friends a break. Ha! I have found that support in Jody’s podcasts and in this book! Thank you, Jody!

Worth the read

I'm grateful for everything that Jodie has talked about here in her book. I had already Incorporated many of the intentional thought creative activities into my life and I wanted some additional perspective. I like the way that each scenario is presented using the framework that she has set up.

Changed my negative thinking about myself!

I’ve been listening to you for a few years now. I loved your book! So many great points! I have come to realize I blocked a lot of memories from my childhood. I realized I was pretty neglected. Finding out I was codependent and married at the age of eighteen to a good man but a narcissist has been an uphill journey. But we have raised 6 children and have 25 grandchildren. And we have been married 50 years now. I still have dreams of having my own business and traveling even though my husband is content with being at home. Anyway, thank you again,
best wishes Susan
