Publisher's Summary

Our unconscious thought patterns determine our relationships, our spiritual life, and our connection to God to a much greater extent than we know. That’s an alarming thought, because the subconscious mind is a mysterious realm that is really difficult to access and influence...right? No. It’s really not! And it’s the most urgent and impactful thing we can do. This book will show you how.

How do I choose faith over fear when my loved ones are making poor choices?

Why don’t I feel happier if I’m reading and praying like I’ve been taught?

How can I stop feeling like I’m just not good enough?

What am I to do when my spouse is judgmental of me?

How do I trust in Christ when everything seems to be falling apart?

Get answers to these and other tough questions in the context of Christ-centered principles throughout this book.

Jody Moore is a Master Certified Life Coach who has taught and coached tens of thousands of women through her in-person and online workshops and podcast. She brings her characteristic clarity, wisdom, humor, and disarming honesty to this groundbreaking book.

In Better than Happy, Jody shows how a simple five-step model she uses in every session with her clients can reveal the unconscious patterns of thoughts that keep us from deeper and healthier connection with ourselves, with our loved ones, and with God. Jody then shows how, once we clear the debris of our unconscious patterns of thought, new streams of understanding of Christ’s teachings begin to flow.

the model + the restored gospel of Jesus Christ = the best book I've read in years. Give it a listen, you won't regret it.

This was a life changing read! I learned so much!

I love this book! It has changed me. I loved learning that my thoughts create my feelings. I also loved the part about how prayer helps us to focus on what's important!

Best audiobook I’ve heard in a long time.

I listen to Jody’s podcast but the book was different. She shared her faith in a way I hadn’t heard before and it tied in so well with her coaching thought work. During chapter 5 I had tears streaming down my cheeks while driving. I felt what I can only describe as “the spirit”. Thank you Jody.

Don’t judge a book by its title….

A friend introduced me to the world of Jody Moore. The same friend also encouraged me to read this book. I put it off for nearly 18 months.
Now that I’ve read it, I am forever a better Me for it. I’ve learned that avoiding negative thoughts and feelings is not truly living. I’ve learned that I can love ALL of me and life and others. Yes, all of it. The good, bad, ugly and it’s a gift. Thanks Jody Moore for your perspective. you’ve presented this material in such a beautiful way. What an easy listen.

Mind opening

I cannot like this book enough. I love these concepts that she put into words that does resonant so deeply in my soul. What a logical and straightforward review of concepts remix so difficult sometimes. I highly recommend this to everyone. I cannot express how much changing my life from a victim mentality has healed my soul.

Absolutely loved this book! A must read!

This book and thought process allowed me to see the thoughts I was thinking and how that lead to my feelings and actions. I am really grateful for this knowledge and tool to have. I am on a journey to become better and be better to myself and to others. This allows me the freedom to choose my feelings and keep better company. Thanks Jody for your time and dedication. One of my favorite things about this book was listening in on some of your sessions with actual clients with their permission. I found huge comfort and relief as I struggle with the same thoughts as many of your clients.

Humbling

I am constantly on the lookout for personal development books, and although I may be Baptist, I am so grateful for this book and perspective and helping me realign my actions by evaluating my thoughts! I will definitely be reading this again! Wonderful book!
