Horrible Pali pronunciation
The reader must learn to pronounce Pali words correctly and leave more space before and after section headers. He does the same with "In the Buddha's Own Words" by Bhikkhu Bodhi. It is hard to listen to him.

Bad narration
Bhante Gunaratana's books are amazing. He packs tons of information in with great style and approachability. But the choice in narrators is wrong for this book. He mispronounces important key terms so often that its distracting and off-putting. For instance he pronounces jhana as gee-hana. I'd rather read the print edition.

nirvana
not a bad guide regarding mediation as a practice and using it in every day life. The story lost me at the various infinite levels of nirvana. probably not a good book for beginners to zen Buddhism.

A failure ofvmost Buddhism audiobooks is that the narrator doesn't learn how to pronounce Sanskrit or Pali words. He keeps calling "jahna" as "jahanna," and "annica" as "anikka." Other than that, it is good and worth revisiting

Good material, awful reader
The constant mispronunciation of names/terms integral to the material (and commonplace in just about any Buddhist material) is so bad that this should be deleted and redone with a different narrator. It's blatantly obvious that this "professional" reader went ahead with no research into the words of the material and they just just shipped it as is. I would be pretty upset if I had purchased this title.

Must have book on Mindfulness
At the beginning of the book, we are told that these teachings are not going to mean giving up your possessions, changing your religion, or promise of supernatural powers. And the author lives up to this promise, and goes beyond expectations. We are given Buddhist techniques that everyone can use to become more mindful and improve concentration.

A beatiful explanation of Metta meditation
Truly an amazing explanation of mindfullness. This book truly shows how uncomplicated and easy mindfullness can be with a little bit of effort on daily practice.
The last 16 mins of Chapter 4 is the best Metta meditation I have observed in many books. A daily listening/practice of those 16mins does a world of good to yourself and everyone around you. Try and listen to it daily for 5-6 days and see the benefits!
Chapter 6 helped truly control anger in a unique way.
It has changed my life and hence the review!!!
