From the bestselling author of These Tangled Vines comes a gripping novel about one woman’s search for answers when her husband vanishes in the night.

Olivia Hamilton is married to the love of her life, Dean, a charismatic pilot who flies private jets for the rich and famous. But when he vanishes over the Bermuda Triangle, Olivia’s idyllic existence unravels. After years of waiting, Olivia must eventually let go of the fragile hope that her beloved husband might still be alive.

Melanie Brown is a particle physicist who spends late nights studying the Bermuda Triangle. But her research interests falter when her mother dies in a tragic accident. Struggling to reboot her life and career, Melanie begins a forbidden love affair with her therapist.

When a shocking discovery shows Olivia’s and Melanie’s paths are intertwined, it casts Dean’s disappearance in a new light. The two women’s strange connection threatens to unlock secrets that will change everything Olivia thought she knew about her marriage, her husband, and most importantly, herself.

Full of spellbinding twists and turns, Beyond the Moonlit Sea is a vivid, emotional novel about the stirring power of love lost and found—and the incredible strength of one woman who fights for happiness in the wake of tragedy.

Fantastic book! Loved it!

I usually do not choose romance because of the all too perfect relationships they describe. But this… this is just wonderful. The mystery woven in with all the mushy bits kept me interested throughout. Surprisingly, the mushy bits also contained real life types of love explained in beautiful writing. I would definitely recommend this book.

Stunning storyline

Story starts out blasé, without much oomph to it, but hang on to your pants! All the curves and twists with a herring or two will blow them off before the story wraps. This isn't a fairy tale but a reflection of real life, flaws and all.
If a good romantic suspense that's non-traditional is what you're looking for, this is a must read. Don't let the lower number of reviews deter you. I'm very surprised by them.
Narrators did a good job. Unfortunately, not great. For me, that means the different characters are easy to differentiate. Other than the actual voices of the narrators, that was it. Maybe that was a mutually agreed in decision but makes for a more difficult and boring listen. I subtracted a star for that on preformance.
Overall, I recommend this story!

just no

DNF. The "relationship" sparking between Melanie and Dr. Robinson was just too much. I have nothing against "forbidden love" themes, but this was ridiculous. Melanie must have borderline personality disorder or something, and the idea that an experienced therapist not only couldn't diagnose her, but actually found her obsessive infatuation with him attractive somehow.... just nope.
IDK, maybe it got better. I thought about skipping ahead, but didn't.

Satisfying read

A bit “Hallmark Movie-ish” but fantastic. There were points in the book I couldn’t stop listening. Overall worth the credit!

Not the Best, Just OK

The story is ok, but frankly, I had a difficult time getting into this one. The other two books I've read by Julianne MacLean were much more enjoyable and held my attention and emotion much better. That's why I read this one ... but ... I had to work hard to keep reading this one until about the middle of the book.

I found it tedious. So, while it's not bad ... assuming you like this genre it's just OK in my view. Why did I have a hard time with it? Well ... I found the characters pretty thin and when you don't warm up to the characters in a book ... the book just doesn't grab you. You may feel differently ... so good luck.

Decent

I love Maclean's writing. This one required a little more suspension of disbelief than her others, but still a decent journey with great narration.

one of the best audio books I've listened to

A wonderful plot, multiple events, colorful characters, believable drama, and introspection for those involved. It was never dull, and ended on a positive note, which is something I always love.

Couldn’t finish

Dull meandering stories. Persevered through about 25% and decided done of the characters were interesting. Rarely don’t finish a book. Performances are very good.
