Written like a college essay

I’m not brilliant. I’m average intelligence. And I cudnt even finish this book. 30 minutes was enough. If you’re ready for an introductory session, this is the book for you. The author kept stating the obvious. Such as, binge eating is harmful to you for the following reasons, you gain weight, this will cause anxiety or depression. And this, if you binge eat, you’ll feel bad and your clothes will begin to get right. And, many ppl who binge eat have suffered from childhood trauma , while some others did not. WTF? Is this written for a college professor? I found it absolutely boring and a waste of my time. I never write reviews but this book really sucked. I have it 2-3 star rating because sure the content was accurate, but it really could have been offering so much more imo.

Save your money

This book is repetitive and the narrator sounds like this is the first time he’s ever read the book. The tone and inflection of his words don’t follow the meaning in the sentences. It’s very frustrating.

repetitive in some aspects. EDIT: FAKE REVIEWS!

Has a lot of good information available however it repeats itself constantly. At times I thought I had lost my space in the book, but no. It was just repeating the same info for the 5th time. I think I heard the full DSM criteria for BED at least 5 times while listening to this. The chapters at times seem to repeat themselves but in a different way.

edit: after researching some more binge eating titles I have noticed that there is a trend in some of them. The reviews are GLARINGLY fake. Including in this one. All five stars, written on the exact same date, half the time in broken english, and often nonsensical. For that this review was changed from 3 stars due to repetitiveness to one star. If there was a way to report them due to this I would. Shame on you and Shame on your cow!

Poor Editing

Many sections sound as if they were poorly translated from a different language. The chapters that were easy to follow, were repetitive and unhelpful.

Horrible Narration

Absolutely terrible narration. It’s like the narrator cannot achieve a normal cadence. He starts and stops at weird points in a sentence. I could not get past it enough to follow the book, even after an hour of listening.

just repeats itself on every chapter

don't usually rate a book, but this is such a waste of money. every chapter they discuss what a binge eater is, the same ward used. just uses up time, think it would only be 2 chapters if it got to the point

Terrible unintelligible narration

As per the title, Incredibly annoying undulating narration that makes listening impossible. Not great for an Audiobook.
