Publisher's Summary

Some disasters can only be avoided if you know they’re coming....

On Karell, you are either blessed by the gods, granted a unique power and the ability to gain experience and levels, or you are forgotten. Micah Silver was a boy picked for greatness. Chosen by the gods to bear a mythic power, he longed to take his place amongst the heroes and legends he grew up reading about.

Unfortunately, his primary blessing only allows him to travel into the past by sacrificing his class, wealth, and levels - a psychological burden that Micah is reluctant to shoulder. But, even if Micah is unwilling, fate has a way of forcing you to face your destiny...and running away can cost you everything.

Over and over again...

Experience the start of a time-looping LitRPG series where a reluctant hero is forced to fight against an impossible catastrophe. Using his talents for enchanting items and summoning creatures, he must retrace his steps and grow stronger in a potentially futile effort to prevent tragedy and protect his family.

A mediocre story laced with virtue signaling.

Every side character is lgbtq for no apparent reason and it adds nothing to the story. It just seems like a virtue signal.

solid

Solid litrpg,
no harem, no whining protagonist, no sociopathic MC, no OP mc,
Not exactly a 5star but a solid 4 star litrpg. The 5 star is just to display its easy to listen to and doesn't make you cringe or hate it and offset whatever 1 star reviews pop up.

Poor execution

Good idea but bad execution.

SPOILERS BELOW

Given the MC's power, how could he not use it to become super wealthy at the very least, to help his cause? How could he not worry about what happens to the people who live in the timeline he left? And realizing how important his survival is, how could risk his life so much?

On the third iteration, the MC goes for a battle he's likely to lose with >50% chance, thus likely dooming his friends and family. To save them, he just needed to go through a few more iterations, but he was literally too lazy to bother. This is completely inconsistent with his stated devotion. (The fact that everything worked out in the end by luck is irrelevant.)

Also, the world is very simplistic. For example, the nobility is cowardly, evil, and boring, and they need to remind everyone how disgusting they are every day. Even if it means nearly killing the MC whose skill they badly need.

The nobility sacrifices "political prisoners". Who ever uses this word in Fantasy? The term was only invented by human rights activists about 50 years ago.

What a fantastic story

I'm never terribly good at writing these reviews as I don't want to spoil anything for a future reader but this book had me enthralled from the get go and I just couldn't put it down to do anything else. This was a cover to cover book and while it had strong elements of a litrpg book, if that's not your thing this book could be amazing without those elements. Kudos to the writer and narrator and here's to hoping the next books keep up the fantastic quality!

Wow

What a ride. Let me start by saying that this book is awesome. The side characters don't get a ton of depth, but the book isn't about them. The MC gets to use his power to try to correct mistakes, but the struggles that come from that are largely unforseen.
This book is totally worth a listen.

“Success forgives all sins”

Took me a little while to get my head around the magic system and wasn’t sure I was going to gel with the fact the MC’s a teenager, but once I got into it, I didn’t want to put it down!
Really great story and I can’t wait to hear more!
Great narration too, with great character voices and pacing that perfectly suits the story!
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.

I couldn't stop listening to it!

A very enjoyable book. I love the status page aspect! and the blessings in it were a very original idea but mana on the other hand wasn't original but diverted. As much as it was the same thing a lot of the time it kept me coming back and I couldn't stop listening to it! I recommend it to people who are interested in RPG games.

Enjoyable Timeloop tale

Well Narrated.
For those who are fans of the timeloop(groundhog day) genre then this is a fun read. Though Mother Of Learning does it better.

If there's one con I've got to say about this story, it would have to be the word 'atunement'.. seriously, one could play a drinking game on how many times that word is said throughout the book and be drunk after the first chapter.

Still, worth a read. But there are other timeloop stories I'd recommend more.

The story is okey, but it is really bad written.

It starts interesting, and then it skip 3 months, have a small encounter, skips 3 more, and then you have a dungeon, and skips 6 more months.

And then I gave up 3 hours in.

that ending

long and short of it is to enjoy this book first don't focus on the fact that the main characters in A Time loop until the end of the first loop all of what he does in the first five years are very important in understanding the characters around him and how how the main character feels with him hafting to spend time away from them you was the reader should miss the characters from the first 5 years has the author does an excellent job of of characterizing them although you probably won't miss Sarah. the books a bit slow and largely Focuses on character interaction and the main character what are there are some very good fights and the main character games some awesome abilities it's grounded in in in worldbuilding and socialisation between the main character and friends and enemies

Enjoyable story

I enjoyed the concept of the story but found the narration difficult to follow. I couldn't always tell there was a new chapter and I was constantly having to go back to listen again. I also found the narrator was sometimes speaking too fast.
Will not stop me from listening to other books in the series.

Interesting but bit slow

This story has an interesting premise but was a bit too slow for me for a lot of the story, although I liked the main characters well enough and some of the interactions were done very well. However this picked up at the end so much Im getting the next book as the audio isn't availble yet. Narration by Hellegers was done very well as has his other work I have came across so no issues there. As this is the first in series giving this one a bit of latitude and calling it 4 stars overall.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts for everyone.

listen you won't be disappointed

now alot of litrpgs can often feel like someone narrating some one playing a game and get boring quick but this one is one of the good ones with a real story line, characters with real personalities that are perfectly portrayed by Luke Daniels I look forward to book two
