Childish, and he is blighted........

Not sure if you knew this, but he is blighted. If you do not or did not remember the first 75 times the author lets you know, do not worry he will tell you 75 more times. 8+ hours of listening to a child cry about blighting himself. It really made me wander if this book was based on the author trying to get his very young child to make his bed or finish his greens at dinner. Also if you did not catch it in the title or the first sentence...ARYC IS BLIGHTED. Seriously do not waste your time unless you want to count the number of times the author wrote "blighted", that might be an exciting 8+ hour game to entertain yourself.

A great continuation

Narration: nothing much to say here. I mean, it's fucking Nick Podehl what more could you ask for?

Story: the story was overall very enjoyable. I particularly like the insights in to the other "side" if you will. Love seeing things in different perspectives.

One minor complaint is the flow seems a little all over the place at times. On the bright side this means a great deal happens and there is not much, if any, "filler"

Aside from that, looking forward to the next.

Still good but the mind construct voice was inconsistent

For some reason “Dwighted’s” (not sure how they spelled the name) voice changed to a girl voice right off the bat after it was a deep male one for not any real reason. It was pretty inconsistent because it would go back to male at times. It’s kind of annoying because you get use to a voice and when it’s different you pause to think who is talking

Great continuation!

A very well done second installment. Highly recommend this if you've started with the first. Interesting developments through the book keep it fresh and flowing. The MC definitely has to overcome adversity and he keeps growing for good character growth.

Where is the other half

The story was “ok”. The writing is pretty good and Podehl is my boy, but this was just a small part of the story. There is some character development /growth and some answers found, but the experience is like an exploration of the characters emotional state and boom, a few quick resolutions. now we have a confederate of anti first ones and initial plans. Book end. This could have been the first half of a good book but instead we are getting a few chapters every couple of years.

I don’t really have anything against the story, more the package or structure of how it is being released.

Weak lead character gets old…

I was excited to see the new book after the first entry was pretty good but the constant doubt, self blaming and questioning led me to not enjoy this book. Hopefully the next is better…
