Publisher's Summary

Something is buried underneath Liscor. And it's hungry.

Of course, if there were only one thing under Liscor, there would be far less to fear. However, the dungeon continues to be a threat. At the same time, Goblins continue to roam northern Izril, but not all of them are as hostile to people as Tremborag or the Goblin Lord. Will the Unseen Emperor of Riverfarm make that distinction, however?

A reckoning is coming as old faces and new reemerge. And all the while, The Wandering Inn is still serving food and respite and even plays to adventurers and Antinium alike. But something is coming from the dungeons. And it—they—are hungry.

I love this series

The author knows the big secret that so many authors never get. Character development! I'm attached emotionally to so many characters in these books. I will buy every book the author ever writes. Also every one is over 30 hours! The author cares about the readers enough to give us value for our dollar. There is nothing wrong with making money but I get upset everytime I'm interested in a book that is 8 hours. The continued storyline branches into new areas even as it works on older storylines. If it focuses for a short time on a storyline I'm not interested..so what..there is another 25 to 50 hours of story in each one of these books.
Another thing I really like is the action scenes include character development. I get so tired of stories that are simple hack and slash all the way through. The worst thing about this book is its almost to the ending for me :'[ . I already want more! :]

Turned out to be incredible.

I originally thought this series would be ok. It became one of my favorite things I ever listened to. Incredible character development. Plus fun worldbuolding and humor. And it has moments that have made me cry. Rare. Don’t miss.

I’ve learned very this whole series, but…

The ‘emperor’ is a prat and less of everything about him would make this book better. So many of the other characters are so amazing. The goblins are a favorite, especially Pyrite.

A self proclaimed german dictator, let him fail and fade away.

Outstanding! Fantastic! Captivating! Beyond Epic

There is simply nothing that compares to this series in value, storyline and sheer reality. Heroes die, tragedies occur and hope dissolves: as happy outcomes and possible peace is snatched away. Tears will fall in both happiness and joy as Pirateaba weaves her story like a Master of the arts.

I lose nights of sleep everything a new book is released. I find I simply cannot stop listening until the last uttered word. Robert jorden, Sanderson and Tolkien can tell a tale and create new and exciting worlds but Pirateaba stands firmly above even the best with characters that are so real, that you start to believe they truly exist: their flaws and personalities, you begin know them deeply.

As for performance and Narration. Stand aside R.C. Bray; Andrea Parsneau deserves centre stage. Her ability to bring the characters to life is outstanding. In over 200 hrs of Narration, not once do two characters sound the same. Her ability to let you know which race, or person, is speaking, is truly amazing.

I write this review utterly confident, that not a single listener will disagree and those that do, would only complain that I havn't praised it enough!

Twists, heart and a real Climax

We learn a lot about the dungeon, a returning character gone mad, friction between 2 main characters and the slow burn at the end with things still looming over the horizon. Parsneau delivers like always.

Unique

I love all 8 books, you get great story telling and really get attached to the characters.
But I feel the story gets dragged out, going in so much depth about how that person feeling And over explaining their feeling.
The world that been made so massive and so much is going on that I find myself skipping parts of story to stick with the main part of each book.
I will keep going as I love the books to much.. however I feel that they are probably about 10 hours to long. Less time on characters feelings all the time. And more story and plot development would be better. But only my opinion does not mean I’m right. Because what do I know I am not a writer.

I can not rate it highly enough.

WOW another fantastic read. The depth of characters and world building is unrivalled, what an imagination.
I can not believe the skill of narration, the range of different voices for so many characters is out of this world. Definitely the best I have ever heard. So pleased that it feels like there is many more to come.
Thank you once again.
