Publisher's Summary

A long weekend in the Poconos is cut short when Sherlock and Savich are helicoptered back to Washington to lead the investigation into the brutal murder of a Supreme Court justice.

Savich allows Callie Markham, an investigative reporter for The Washington Post, to partner with local Metro Police liaison Ben Raven since she's got the inside track--she's the stepdaughter of the murdered justice. Despite Detective Raven's unwillingness to have a civilian along, Callie Markham ends up riding shotgun to help look for her stepfather's murderer.

Within the next 24 hours, a Supreme Court law clerk is found murdered, the M.O. the same.

Savich learns he must also solve a 30-year-old crime after a psychic encounter with the murder victim, Samantha Barrister, who suddenly appears in front of his car and hysterically pleads for his help. Savich and Sherlock discover that at the time of her death, Samantha had a six-year-old son who disappeared as a teenager. Savich is convinced the missing boy is the key.

In Blowout, Sherlock and Savich are faced with two of the most baffling and shocking cases of their careers.

Hokey! Pathetic!

I can't believe I listened to the entire novel. This is the worst Savage and Sherlock novel. Catherine Coulter can and has written more credible novels. The narration was fine.

unequal partners

I was disappointed in the role of Sherlock. It was an ancillary role and not befitting of a FBI agent, especially a female agent.

Weakest FBI story

The story was not good even though the topic was promising. To make it even less palatable, the narrator was terrible making Savitch sound to nasally. I’m not sure I want to listen to any more of the series. The variety of narrators makes it hard to listen because of the Inconsistency of the voices.

A truly enjoyable experience.

The story line was easy to follow and each and every character was believable. There was a commendable balance of mystery, suspense and everything in between. I'm already looking forward to the next installment in the series.....
l can hardly wait.

Engaging story lines

Excellent story though narration was irritating at times. Femal character narration was good. Male narration not so much.

I Don't Understand

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I don't understand why she insists on getting people married after a week of knowing each other. The books have become predictable and the narrator makes the female characters sound like helpless women even though they are written to be strong.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

More twists and less predictable

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Changed the voices of the female characters to be a bit stronger and sound smarter.
