Detective Sean O'Reilly is called in to interrogate a young boy who is the only witness to a massacre during a gang war. The child's story is too far-fetched for most of the Chicago Police Force to believe - claims of an army of other-worldly creatures who attacked and dismembered the rival gangs. But Sean O'Reilly believes him, because he's seen them himself. An encounter he had as a boy in a dark forest in Ireland did not just give him nightmares, but changed his entire life.

Gray has no mercy here . . .
I am a HUGE fan of Blue Bell. That nasty little bugger just grooves into my soul, he's so soft and cuddly. So, any mention of him is like a salve on a wound. Here, we get to see just haow evil the little bastar . . . blue haired doll is, as he sets his malicious eyes on a small family who are swept up hiding out in a warehouse as the zombie horde in Haunted House Harbor searches for prey.
If you know Gray, you will realize that this family is in some serious trouble, and that she has no problem whacking anyone she deems fit for slaughter, which seems to be anybody wgo breathes in her stories. I'm not going to tell you what happens, but at least one person is left standing at the end, and they aren't troubled by the outside events. So, Happy ending? That's up to you to decide. Something tells me that the survivor has no idea of what they are in for! That's the best thing about Gray, just when things look positive you find a note carved on a wall that says otherwise, or a trapdoor that houses a creepy crawler that your daughter is overly attached to.
I will say that I know there is supposed to be another Blue Bell story coming soon, and my biggest concern is that it is longer than 16 minutes, I really want something to sink my teeth into. Blue Bell is the creepiest doll since Chucky and Robert, so if clowns, dummies, or zombies creep you out then this short will fill YOUR shorts quickly! Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. Getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

Very disturbing and very short
I love Roma Gray shorts and this one was no exception. I had already listened to the first Blue Bell story so was somewhat prepared for this tale although you don’t need to have read the first one to get full enjoyment. Part of this is because Ms. Gray immerses you immediately into the story. With short fiction every word counts and must have an impact. These do.
Pixie is seven years old and living in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. While her parents argue about the best way to get to safety, Pixie spots Blue Bell the clown doll. A doll she wants for her own. A doll she trusts. In the end, though, that doll will betray her. (And all adults know better than to trust a ventriloquist clown doll, right?)
I’m not familiar with Joey Eugene but he did a good job. His voice for the doll was particularly disturbing – as it should be. Another great horror short listen.

Blue Bell strikes again!
Another great short and horrific story from the amazing Roma Gray!
This time we find Blue Bell the clown locked up in a cage while the world is experiencing a zombie apocalypse. Who knows....maybe Blue Bell is the cause of this Zompoc!
This clown has to be one of the creepiest characters I have encountered in a long, long time. Ms. Gray always manages to put just the right amount of horror into her stories without being graphically gory. Her writing is good enough that your imagination adds all the horror you need!
I was given a chance to listen to this wonderful story by the author and chose to review it.

A Possible Reason for the ZA?
Could a doll be the reason for the apocalypse? BLUE Bell does sound pretty creppy. Ms. Gray managed to instill a whole lot of creppiness into 15 minutes! Well done!!! I'm currently listening to another of her books. She's original and I am very much enjoying her writing style.

Amazing short story!
This is another amazing short story by Roma Grey! I really loved it. It is great on it's on, yet ties in with two of her other short stories that were super entertaining beautifully. Glad I listened to this creepy clown/zombie story in the light of day!

Interesting horror story
Blue Bell: Back Alley: A Horror Short Story, By Roma Gray, Narrated by Joey Eugene
The book is a horror so I would recommend it to fans of short horror stories. It is about zombies, the clown doll, safety, insecurity, and fight. Joey Eugene did a good job as narrator, has a nice voice, tempo and accentuation. Roma Gray has lots of imagination and ability to put her vision in the interesting, engaging book. The story is only 16 mins long so quite appropriate to listen in one go.
My hope is that this review helps in your decision to obtain this book.

My first book by Roma Gray, good but short.
I took a chance on this short story. It was a good little story but so short it is hard to judge if these shorts are something I will follow up on. The story was entertaining tho.
I see Roma has a couple other stories here on audible, maybe I will check out another one during another break in books I am listening too.

Love a creepy clown
I was interested to hear more from the blue-haired harbinger of doom after listening to the author's novel, Haunted House Harbor. I get the feeling Blue Bell has had a lot of thought invested in him. Maybe a few nightmares as well! Check it out!

Got to listen
If you're following the story of Blue Bell as it unfolds, you have to listen to this. Roma writes with such suspense that she draws you into the story and leaves you holding your breath as the awesome Terry F. Self, uses just the right voice to mesmerize you. Then abruptly the story ends, but you know it hasn't really ended, that it will instead be picked up in another book. Then you're sad because you don't know how long it will be until the story will resume. You have to listen to this series! Thank you, Roma for the opportunity to review for you.
