Publisher's Summary

A casual outing with a metal detector ends in a surprising find: Not treasure...but the shocking remains of a gruesome murder.

Native Texan Rick Waters is a jack-of-all trades: Treasure hunter, diver, part-time detective. Never any good at holding down a steady job, Rick does whatever he can to make a living - searching for stolen cars or missing persons, catching and selling catfish from the bayou, or gambling in pool halls - whatever it takes to one day fulfill his dream: His very own fishing yacht and charter business.

Little does Rick know, his latest foray into the bayou with his metal detector will forever change his life. From the bayous of southeast Texas to the seedier neighborhoods of Houston, from the sparkling beaches of the Virgin Islands to the Voodoo drug dens of Haiti, Rick’s quest to find a killer will take all of his wits and skill to stay alive and bring justice to a young woman’s killer. And if he’s lucky, he might find some treasure after all.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Really good debut ...

There are already some very good reviews but I wanted to add just a little. I really enjoyed this book. The author says he decided to give writing a try after meeting Wayne Stinnett. He also mentions a few others but it’s Stinnett’s influence that really comes through. I think between the story and the excellent narration by Nick Sullivan makes this a book worthy of using a credit on. I think this is the beginning of a great new series and I am looking forward to the next book ................. This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. ................ If you found this review helpful please indicate so. .................. Thank You.

Best Narrator Ever!

As the author of this book, it’s so inspiring hearing the words and characters come to life in the story. Nick Sullivan doesn’t just read the book, he acts it. It’s highly enjoyable to listen to, and I am proud to call him my narrator and my friend. Looking forward to many more collaborations in the future.

Amazing first book...highly recommend!

I first met Eric at the St Pete Sailboat Show in 2001, and have been listening to him ever since. His music is great, and his taking his talents as a musical storyteller have transferred on paper better than I could have imagined.

From start to finish you will not want to put it down or turn it off. Excited to see what book two brings with Rick Waters.

Congrats Eric, and thank you.

A good listen of a great story

Blue Waters is an entraining roller coaster of an adventure that is simultaneously exotic and down to earth. Both a mystery and and a love story. Lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing. Well done Mr. Stone. Can’t wait for the next one.

A gripping tale of epic proportions!

As the first novel from Eric Chance Stone Blue Waters, a Rick Waters Novel has adventure, murder, voodoo and love all intricately woven together in a non-stop rush of emotions. I could hardly stop wondering what was going to happen next.

Good first book for Eric Stone

Overall good read. There were a couple things I didn't like but this was Eric Stone's first book so presumably he will get better. Great narration as always by Nick Sullivan. Looking forward to more.

Awesome Story & Narration

I really enjoyed this book. I love his parrot Chief and the treasure hunting parts of the story. Eric can write well and the story moves at a good pace. The narrator is very good and is a author himself. And narrates Wayne Stinnett's books too.
