Story
When Hannah Montgomery buys a lavender farm in Blue Hollow Falls with three friends, she's creating a life she never imagined - one she hopes will honor the memory of the sweet young son she tragically lost years ago. Standing on the porch of the sprawling farmhouse, looking out on row upon row of those lush purple plumes, Hannah is ready to embrace this fresh, new start.... Then she meets Wilson McCall. The stonemason hired to fix their crumbling chimneys and leaky roof is quieter than most folks in the Falls. Hannah's not surprised to learn the widower struggles with his own grief.

Story
Fixing things has always been Alex McFarland's greatest gift and keenest pleasure. But with her own life thoroughly broken, she's signed on to renovate the dilapidated Pelican Point lighthouse, hoping to reconnect with herself. The last thing she expects is to find herself falling in love - with the glorious coastline, with age-old secrets and welcome-home smiles - and with rugged Logan McCrae, the man she just might be able to build new hopes on. DIY is so much better with two.

Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him “the bitter neighbor from hell”. But must Ove be bitter just because he doesn’t walk around with a smile plastered to his face all the time? Fredrik Backman’s novel about the angry old man next door is a thoughtful exploration of the profound impact one life has on countless others.

Publisher's Summary
Pippa MacMillan is a legend on the Irish folk music scene. But when her voice requires a time-out, she's left wondering how - and where - to find happiness in the silence....
Seeking answers, Pippa leaves Ireland in favor of a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Turns out lovely Blue Hollow Falls is the perfect place to heal - and solitary Seth Brogan is the surprisingly perfect host. After all, Seth is beginning again too: turning his renovated stone barn and beautiful hillside into a vineyard is the start of a whole new life for the former Special Forces soldier. Only Mother Nature keeps thwarting both their plans, leaving Pippa snowbound with unsettling thoughts about how life can take unexpected turns....
To Pippa's surprise, she might actually fall for small-town living. She might even fall for Seth, whose quiet strength is a balm for her world-weary soul. But when the music starts once more, will she follow her fortune back to Ireland, or surrender to the call of her heart?

If you love the mountains, the Irish, music or just a great romantic read, this book is for you. Pippa and Seth are wonderful main characters (especially Pippa!) but the neighbors and townspeople give the story extra depth. I came to love them all. The ending is beautiful!

Another winner in The Blue Hollow Falls Series!
I recently picked up the first Blue Hollow Series audiobook, narrated by Amanda Ronconi, because it was listed under the "More from the same narrator" section. I'm so glad I did! As soon as I finished Blue Hollow Falls, I grabbed Bluestone and Vine so I could find out if the Viking-esque sidekick Seth Brogan gets his own HEA. In this book, we're introduced to the delightful Pippa MacMillan from Ireland, who finds sanctuary - and maybe a little more! - in Blue Hollow Falls.
Another lovely sweet romance with realistic characters in a slightly contrived situation, but with enough quirk and humor and realness to the community and supporting characters to make the book an easy and enjoyable listen.
Ms. Kauffman knows how to pen a love story that makes a listener's heart happy, and Ms. Ronconi knows how to narrate a love story - ANY story, in fact - to make a listener's ears happy. She does a great job of distinguishing characters - good male and female and various aged voices!
Sex - some open door
Language - now and then
Violence - none except for references to past experiences
Substance abuse - none except for references to past experiences
Social drinking - some
Looking forward to the next audiobook in the series!

Consistent with the first story
Simple romance performed well.
One serious quibble for those of who are Irish Republicans. The Irish singer is a Unionist. She refers to Britain as "my country" at one point despite living in the Irish Republic. she performs for British troops and in the same scene refers to the US as an allied country. Ireland is not part of NATO. Great Britain is. so she identifies as British. It's just something that really took me out of the flow of the story for a chapter ot two, but likely is more an indication of the author's ignorance and not meant as a political statement. I took a star away for story but gave it 5 stars overall for the performance.
