We all are born as unique individuals; we have an innate quality to feel and answer our internal awareness as well as our external environment. This is how we are ready to learn, plan, create, and relate to others using our personal experiences. Codependency hinders this unique sense of individuality, thus restricting our engagement with the environment around us, generally. It is a multidimensional condition which is the most common addiction that people develop.

Would you like to know what BPD is? BPD is also referred to as biosocial disorder among experts. This means that this disorder often starts with an inclination towards biological factors but is then intensified by the social environment of an individual. By temperament, the people with BPD often are intensely emotionally sensitive and very reactive. This is because they tend to feel things immediately and intensely as opposed to other people. Once their powerful and intense emotions have been triggered, it takes them a very long duration to get back to the emotional baseline.

Book is for children/young adults.
Information in this book is very basic and without depth, as if written for children/young adults. The sentences and choices of wording also lead me to conclude that the intended audience is not adults. After searching Audible for more age-appropriate books, I found that there are many in-depth and well-written books on Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), many of which are authored by mental health researchers and professionals. Many of these books are introductory and focus on the basics of BPD. I will choose other books, since unfortunately this one does not have what I want.
That being said, even if the content of the book met my expectations, I could not get through more than 20 minutes of it due to the unbelievably bad narration. The narrator's style of reading, which includes odd inflections, erratic cadence, and robotic delivery, is unbearable. Please be sure to listen to the sample.

Wonderful Workbook
This workbook is written very well. I am only a few pages in and I already love it. It seems so simple, but the way this workbook is written and has you complete it makes you look at BPD in a new light as much less than a debilitating disorder that it can feel like sometimes. I have been in counseling and seen psychologists for years now for BPD and this workbook is an amazing addition to my progress! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
