Publisher's Summary

The number-one rule of the career search is that you should break the rules.

Getting a job you really want with a company you love is something we all dream about, but few of us ever achieve it. Good jobs are hard to come by, and competition is fierce.

What if there was a way to make an incredible impression, stand out from the competition, and win an interview for a job for which you didn’t even apply?

Learn what 90 percent of your competition doesn’t know.

In this audiobook, you will learn:

  • How to land an interview without even applying for the job
  • How to find and contact decision-makers at all levels of the company
  • How to make a lasting impression and convince them you deserve a place with their company

You will become a pro at interviewing:

  • You’ll learn how to identify and avoid the most common mistakes that many of your competitors are making
  • You’ll be able to understand the hidden motivation between many of the questions your interviewers ask you
  • You’ll master the most effective ways to land an interview, make an excellent impression in the interview, and follow up after the interview
  • You’ll be able to crush the most commonly butchered answers to questions like “Tell me about yourself” and “What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?”.

This audiobook also contains more than 50 practice interview questions, including:

  • Situational and behavioral questions (Tell me about a time when...)
  • Questions you should ask the interviewer
  • Difficult questions and how to give a perfect answer (like, “Why were you fired from your last job?”)

Discover a new way to approach your career search. You don’t have to be at the mercy of recruiters, and your resume doesn’t need to get lost in a pile of hundreds of others just like it. Even if you lack experience or face massive amounts of competition, you can get your dream job.

Good but overly focused on sales jobs

Good tips that I will use for my job interviews but the focus is very much on sales roles, as many self-help books I find. Not all the tips apply for roles in let's say science, engineering, medicine or other specialized areas.

Excellent career advice

Job searching can be very discouraging and overwhelming especially when the listed job ends up being way better on paper compared to interview. This book really helps to be aware and prepared how to come across as the best candidate.

Thank you!

This book really helped me through the interview process and allowed me to gain more confidence! I didn't follow everything they advised, but I don't think I would have done as well without it. Thank you!

Total honesty and accuracy!

Finally, someone in the placement industry had the guts to tell it straight without all the "crap." Government work programs have people on computers sending out resumes online all day long - seldom making any progress except with the lowest paying jobs, if at all. It is what you think it is and is worth the investment. It doesn't cost much and can be listened to anywhere.

Very helpful

This book was very helpful in getting prepped for what companies are asking now in interviews and what you should be prepared for. So many questions that can catch you off guard and the best ways to answer make this book a fantastic tool for preparing to ace an interview.

Very informative

this book is absolutely wonderful in guidance in the interview process. I had forgotten what was allowed and not allowed to ask. I'm glad this book was there for me to review and learn from. the "red flag" information was a great help in the determination of review. very to the point and easy to understand.

Better questions yield better results.

It provides a good template for questions that are not your ordinary run of the mill type. If mediocrity is your goal, keep using the same old questions, if progress in your organization is important, learn to incorporate this book into your questioning procedure.

Great Examples

The book has examples that help to think of past experiences. When I hear interview questions I wonder if I even have an experience they are asking about. This book helped me realize that yes I do have what interviews are looking for!

Exactly what I have looking on

Shocking books for forthcoming workers get together. Since from the beginning when I downloaded this book and listening I can't acknowledge it. By then I go to a meeting and I saw steady talk there to the same. Love this book for my movement.

Nice audiobook.

For a quick listen it helped me prepare in a short time. Not a comprehensive audiobook but that is not what this audiobook is about. You can more or less find all this on the internet but the low price it is worth it to have in one place.
