Hailey Freeman goes to Blackwood with a specific mission - at least on the surface. When a sudden tragedy thrusts her into chaos, she expects to find herself mired in confusion, bereft, while she figures out how to pick up the pieces. Instead, she finds comfort, clarity, and - baffling - familiarity in the arms of Ellis Boyd. A stranger. A stranger who can’t help wondering if he knows Hailey somehow, met her somewhere, another time that they just can’t remember—the only explanation for their swift, consuming connection. At least, the only one that makes sense.

Boring. Invisible. Pretty for a plus-size girl. Those were all the things I felt about myself, thanks to my chosen career as an accountant and society’s depiction of the perfect female. So, I booked a trip to Vegas for my birthday. In walked Soul Matthias, treating me and my body as anything but ordinary. Player. Bad boy. High-risk. That’s what baseball owners banked on to lowball my contract. I had to get my act together. Then, in strutted Alexa Livingston. A breath of fresh air, someone completely different. But what we had wasn’t real. It was just a marriage contract.

Story
I don’t believe in objectifying men. I don’t catcall men. I don’t ogle the bodies of men. I don’t view men as objects of my affection rather than complex people with feelings, wants, and needs of their own. I don’t treat men the way society often treats women. I treat men the way I want to be treated as a woman - with respect! So, when Carlos ran into me while I was reviewing my interview questions in the park, it surprised me to see my photography classmate out of class. I was also surprised to see as much of him as I did.

Entertaining..
I liked this story which is a testament to "don't judge a book by it's cover". In other words, a woman shouldn't let a man's blue-collar job determine whether or not he is worthy of a date.

Drama, Drama, Drama!
There was so much drama in this story that it was hard to keep up; made me laugh out loud several times. It was a cute and different storyline that held my attention with no problem. Wish it had also tied up loose ends with Ashley and her fiancé; maybe author will pen another book to tie up loose ends? Narration was ok, male voice was a bit weak but did differentiate male from female voices.

I absolutely in love! I really like the love story in this book, I like how she's very level headed and grown. The main character is my favorite even though her scary dreams was a little much I loved her overall.
