Publisher's Summary

An actress since she was 14 years old, Paige Lockwood finds herself craving a little normalcy after a scandal rocks her otherwise predictable world. With everyone in her life attempting to control her, she takes matters into her own hands and leaves town without so much as a plan or a destination.

But the destination finds her as car trouble forces Paige to settle down in a small Southern town as she waits for repairs. There she meets the handsome, albeit standoffish, Tatum Montgomery, and both of their lives are forever altered as they learn that sometimes when you aren't looking for love, it finds you anyway. The real question is: Can you hold on to it when you're from two completely different worlds?

It was a good book

It was a good book but I didn't like Tatum at the beginning, at all. The way he treated Paige made no sense to me and he was a jerk but I eventually liked him. Also, Paige got on my nerves at times. She went from being spineless to standing up for herself to being spineless and then back to standing up for herself but the second time she let people tell her what to do was just stupid in my opinion. Plus she hurt Tatum too at the end but everyone just acted like he was the only one in the wrong and should do all of the groveling. But other than those things I did like it. I love the narrators. Dual pov and an HEA.

Edit...I just found out that there was a double epilogue in the book but there isn't one in the audiobook! I feel cheated. Also, I hate when some books in a series are free with membership but not all of them.

Too slow

The characters jumped right into lusting for each other when they met but took forever to act on it. Their feelings for each other seem unrealistic. The narrators are great, as always. But I just couldn’t get into this one

Audible crush on Jason Clarke

Keeping this short and sweet. Loved the Celebrity series and I am such a fan of Jason's voice. Can't wait for Book 3 in the series. And Erin Mallon is just absolutely wonderful in everything she does. She gets better and better. Girl crush on her. For real..lol

Perfect Story

This was a great story, Paige Lockwood is America's Sweetheart but when life is getting too much, she needs time to herself, some normalcy. But her agent is against it. So Paige takes off for some alone time.
She is riding along in the south when her tire blows, now on the side of the road, a truck pulls up. This super sexy guy steps out and offers help. She can't believe her luck or that he wants to help. What she thought was bad luck, turns out to be something good she needed.
Meeting Tatum Montgomery was the one thing she needed. That is until her agent and ex-boyfriend show up to take her back to Hollywood. She wants Tatum to tell her to stay with him, but he knows he can't compete with her world, so he tells her to go.
Both brokenhearted, can they work things out and make their two worlds work? Can she forgive Tatum for pushing her away?
I listened to the audio version and loved the way Tatum and Paige were together and the narrators of Erin Mallon, and Jason Clarke brought these two to life for me.

The star and the country boy ❤️🌟 🎸💙

If you like books about people from opposite worlds colliding, this is a good book for you. Paige has a spunky, strong personality and Tatum redeems himself, eventually, after making some bone head, stupid man decisions.

Small town life vs Hollywood was accurately described. Both worlds were interesting to hear about.

The riders both do a good job and it was enjoyable to listen to. The ending was good and gives a lot of hope for all their futures.

the first one was clever , well done albeit short

got to chapter 10 and pulled up. there was a pace set from the get go and the heroine was portrayed as the grounded rather naive child star grown up, her life tarnished by fame.
the plotline of getting away was plausible but the moment the hero came into play I grimaced. it took off at a sprint...what the hell. ? he only knows her famous persona but within minutes he had possession, sexual obsession and grumpy attraction toward her, then to top it off within hours....yes hours they were bantering like age old friends....he even intrudes on her personal emails.....Insta doesn't even describe this gallop!...nope not for me...it's not like it's 4 hours long like the 1st book....it just didn't work for me.
perhaps a few days of introducing the hero, his background and his feelings would have been better .... at least for me. and the pace could continue in the manner it started.
just love Erin and Jason but I cringed at Jason having to voice the thinking this hero was portrayed as.

Great listen!

This was an enjoyable book made better by the voice actors. I loved both narrators and will seek out their work in the future.
