Love this one so much!!

Now this is the one I was waiting for in the audio book and Kenneth Obi doesn't disappointed. When I read Brent and Calen story I just fall in love with these two. So finally listening to the narration just made me fall in love even more. Kenneth just put so much emotion in each of the characters that I felt like I was falling in love again. Just a fabulous job.

Brent

I love the fact that these stories deal with the emotional aspect of the lifestyle, and not just the physical part. While I enjoy a racy book, I have to have an emotional connection to the characters. I think Shaw really did a great job making me fall in love with Brent and Calen. I like Calen’s vulnerability, and I was so thrilled that there were no secrets kept in this book, that Calen was up front about who he is and what he wants. His fun, teasing personality is just what Brent responds to.
Narration: Kenneth’s portrayal of Brent and Calen is just…wow. The deep timber of Brent’s voice, the sexy slide of Calen’s just draw me into a story I already loved. And I just melt when Calen calls Brent subbie. There is nothing that brought me out of the story performance-wise and I really enjoyed the book, and Kenneth’s superb voice acting.

great narration

So I wasn't imagining the voices used for both Brent and Calen, but they work great and make a lot of sense. the narration is spot on and the story is still wonderful. I love this author's books and I am so happy that the narration works with them perfectly.

Brent

Can Brent and Calen be more than friends? After a simple gesture at the club one night the two find themselves longing for things that they think are unattainable. Yet neither man knows that the other feels the same until they each are forced to a good look at their problems. Soon the pieces begin to fall into place, but can they take a chance on love and who will be the one to make the first move before it becomes even more complicated.

I really enjoyed Calen and Brent’s story. Theirs is a wonderful friends to lovers story. I loved how easy going their friendship was and how hot the two are together. Each of their personalities shine throughout the story. Both men have their own tendencies that have been problems with past lovers but the feelings that these two have for each other outweigh all the doubts. I enjoyed the way Brent and Calen go about finding and fighting for their happy ever after. Not only do the main characters get their story told but the supporting characters have a lot to say. Each brother has a distinct personality and I cannot wait to see more from this family.

Narrator Kenneth Obi brings this book to life nicely and had me lost in Calen and Brent’s story right from the start. This is a hot and sexy listen that moves at a good pace and kept me engaged all the way to the end.

sweet D/S story

A great story but wished it was a little longer. Loved the friends to lovers story line and thought the MC messed well together and that it was a little different take to the D/S relationship. I enjoyed every minute of this syory!

had me wishing i had more than two thumbs...

i enjoy BDSM a lot but this series is more about the falling in love part of the story than the D/s physical part dont get me wrong it is there to just doesnt revolve solely around it and i like that about it. cant wait for the 3rd one...

Brent, Bound & Controlled 2

While this was not my favorite book by Shaw, I really did still like this one. I almost kind of feel like I was listening to a True Account story of a Dom (Calen) and a Sub (Brent) finding their ground together in a new relationship and I didn't feel like I was listening to just a Fictional story.
This book had a really long slow burn of a buildup and you get to actually "know the couple" as they learn each others quirks, kinks, likes and dislikes, all before they got into any actual scenes, which I think was a really good thing for this couple in particular. They needed that extra time to secure their relationship together, since they are not the "norm" when it comes to D/S partnership and they both had some reservations and insecurities. This story was definitely on the lighter side of BDSM, if you are looking for some extreme scenes your not going to get it with this book, its on the sweeter side of the spectrum.
Audio - I have to say.... The Audio did kind of throw me off at first. Only because Calen and Brent don't have the normal roles that you would typically see in D/S relationships. And Kenneth really made that clear in the narration for the two men. Brent the Sub had a deeper Gruffer more gravelly voice and Calen the Dom had a more soft spoken, lighter voice. But Kenneth put a good amount of emotion in where it was needed for the roles of every character in the story and he's becoming one of my more favorite narrators. Great job with this one and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Sweet and Hot

B&C series is one of my favorites from this author. I like this book a lot; It's friends to lovers, and a Dom topping from the bottom.

I adore Brent and Calen, as well as Brent's brothers.

As always, the narrator did an amazing job. He has a soothing voice that makes you want to finish the audiobook in one sitting.

I enjoyed the story and listening to this audiobook; and I definitely recommend this series.

Perfect fit

I really enjoyed this audiobook. In the previous book Calen didn't seem like he took things seriously or that he might be flighty or undependable. That wasn't the case in this book and for that I'm really grateful. I think some of the concerns Calen carried around may have affected how he was behaving and I liked how those worries were handled.

I think Brent needed someone exactly like Calen to really get all the parts of Brent. Someone else wouldn't have offered Brent everything that Calen did and it gave them both exactly what that both needed in a partner. Their story was the right amount of friends to lovers sweet meets hot sexy Dom/submissive.

I liked that we got a chance to visit some of Brent's brothers and see how they're doing. I look forward to the next book and highly recommend this series.

Brent's story was great. I was really looking forward to his just based off the clues that were given in the last book. His HEA was great.
