Publisher's Summary

British accents should come with a warning label. When they're attached to deep, baritone voices that belong to sexy, cocky men, you should have to sign a waiver.

Most people wouldn't touch short-term rental properties, but since my business partner took off with my client list, I need every deal I can get. Enter, one insanely sexy and completely exasperating Camden Reid.

The smug executive found fault with every property I showed him. Too cramped. Too feminine. Too far from a decent pub.

His demands were ridiculous, and I couldn't wait to be rid of him and his British bangers.

Somewhere between the first property and the zillionth, though, my attraction to Camden grew impossible to ignore.

His insane demands finally met, the arrogant Adonis proposed we christen his new temporary home.

Little did I know how addicted I'd become, or just how unforgettable my time with Camden would be.

After all, I knew we had an expiration date.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

British Banger is written in the world of British Bedmate (Dear Bridget, I Want You). It features Bridget, Simon, and Calliope, along with a cast of new characters to fall in love with.

Loved the Hero, Disliked the Heroine...

I don't write many reviews and I just realized that I kind of only write reviews when something bugs me. So I am going to write a good review for every "bugs me" review... This is book bugged me. I decided to listen to this book because I love the Cocky Hero Club and this book has the best reviews out of all of those books so far. Also I love British accents, which is part of the reason I LOVED Camden. He started off as kind of a player but grew on you and developed as a character.

Here is where there are SPOILERS!!!!!!:
Quinn and why she bugged me: I don't mind a good secret pregnancy romance trope, but I felt like Quinn defiantly didn't tell Camden she was pregnant and shut him out for no good reason. She didn't even give him a chance to try to be with her. She decided that they couldn't work then she ran away and didn't answer her phone and blamed him for their breakup. Also not telling him she was pregnant. Give the guy a chance!! After that happened I just couldn't listen to her, I was furious with her. Ruined the whole book for me.

It was going so well...

It was going so well until the dreaded pregnancy plot reared its ugly head. I despise that. Can't we have a romance without the "oops I got pregnant even though I was taking birth control" crap! The performance was great. I really was enjoying it until the pregnancy and keeping it a secret. Ugh!

3.5 stars

There was just something about this book that made it feel like a comfort read. I loved Camden's devotion, that he was British, and the secret baby trope which didn't stay a secret for too long. Everything about reading it just made me happy. This was a new to me author, and I was pleasantly surprised, and along with the good narration, it worked for me.

Long distance Love

This is a fun book about a couple that tries to Not fall in love. She lives in America and he lives in London.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
I enjoyed this book, it drew me in and kept me listening.

British Banger

Love love love!! Jennifer Woodhall did a “banger” of a job! I ordered the book for the narrator, Christian Fox , and with his voice and the storyline being as it is I couldn’t stop listening! Thanks Jennifer.

British Banger

I picked up this book because it was a new to me author by narrators that I loved.

I am glad I did the connection these two have is not only funny but hot. Scorching!
I liked the back and forth, I got lost in their love story and even when the cliché thing happened and I wanted to stop listening I knew I needed to keep going, because these two needed to have the HEA.

Spoiler alert they get it. ;) And I am glad I finished it.
Again fantastic narration!

Okay

The first book that started the “Hero Club Series” Soraya and Graham’s story Is “Stuck-Up Suit” by ViKeeland and Penelope Ward it took me forever to figure it out.

Perfect narration, average plot

The narration was wonderful. You can't go wrong with Christian Fox or Muffy Newtown. Christian did a nice job with the British accent, though it sounded a bit old fashioned and posh.

However, the story left much to be desired in the area of character development. I was disappointed by the selfish choices the heroine made throughout the story. At the inevitable "boy loses girl" scene, the hero was blindsided for seemingly no reason. The female POV chapters did little to clarify the heroine's motivation, which was disappointing.

I enjoyed other books in this character arch, such as British Bedmate, by a different author. I wouldn't recommend using credit on this title. I'm glad it's included in Audible Escape. Overall, the narration was great, but the story was a bit dull.

Loved this story

Do not miss this book.
I loved the main characters and watching them overcome their first impressions to develop deep feelings for each other despite their differences. I was torn between wanting to see What happened next and not wanting to book to end. Great cast of supporting characters as well. The narrators were wonderful, two of the best in Audible.
