Publisher's Summary

According to my grandma, a broken clock being right twice a day meant that in any given situation, perfect timing only happens twice.

I fell for William Grayson in a matter of minutes. The connection between us was undeniable, but our timing was off. I was dating someone, and by the time I was single again, he was taken. And a year later, when we finally got together, it was clear that we were soul mates. But circumstances out of our control cut our time short.

We were a little older, a little wiser, when our paths crossed again. I was entering a new phase of independence in both my career and my life. He was growing professionally and moving to a new city. And even though our timing was off, it was still clear that we were soul mates. But for the second time, circumstances out of our control cut our time short. My grandma was a wise woman, but my love life taught me that there’s no such thing as perfect timing.

There’s just timing.... Because nothing is perfect. There’s just right now.... Because tomorrow isn’t promised. For as long as we’d known each other, William and I just wanted to be together. It was as simple and as complicated as that.

This was too depressing!

I read books to escape and to enjoy a good story with romance. Listening to this book literally depressed me and had me wound in knots. This is the first and last time I will read anything by this author.

why end it like that?

This book is really good! I love Wesliegh as a narrator. I listened non stop and it was emotional. I am not happy about the ending.

Too Sad but a great story that wasn’t your typical

The story was great. This author thinks outside the box of your typical urban love novel. However, she spent too much time on each scene and dialogue. It was overly detailed. She would spend roughly 10minutes on how she felt about a situation or worse 10 minutes on the feelings she felt in great lengthy details. Then the story was too sad. It was bad news after bad news ending with the worst news. I didn’t feel good listening to this book. It was a struggle.

Tear jerker okay!

Omg! I loved this story. It had me laughing at times but 90% of the time I was crying because it was like so real and I felt the pain of them all. My friend listened and she wasn’t into it but she finished the book but couldn’t tell u any thing about it! How? I have no idea. When I don’t like a book I get a refund by chapter 3!

Meh.

The narration is always great…I love Wesleigh Siobhan. The story was exhausting…I am totally exhausted. The book was written well, just sad and depressing.

So Emotional

This was my first Danielle Allen read four years ago. Since then I’ve completed almost her entire catalog. I am such a fan of her work. I decided to revisit this story via audiobook. I loved it all over again. I forgot that it was going to make me feel so many things. The storyline became exceptionally interesting after watching Issa, Lawrence, and Condola navigate this same journey. Allen wrote the blueprint. I spent the whole book wanting to throttle William. His emotional illiteracy was maddening! I wanted so much better for Layla. This book snatched me by my edges up until the very end.

I absolutely loved.

I enjoyed the entire book. Danielle doesn’t seem to ever disappoint. Are there anymore William’s around?
