Couldn’t finish

I couldn’t get beyond chapter 7. I’d prefer to relisten to my favorites as opposed to spend my time finishing this one. I do like some YA literature, there’s some good ones out there, but teenage virginal alphas in high-schoolish type relationships do not entertain me. Ms. Costa’s voice is right for the main character with a youthful voice.

Five stars

Wow. Wow. Wow. This first in series is amazing! I am once again blown away with Jen's writing and storytelling. This book grabbed my attention right from the beginning and kept its claws in me the entire ride.

Intense and addicting!

The first book of the Shadow Mate series is very suspenseful. I was hooked at the very beginning, and I was very eager to see what Sterlyn will do next in order to survive after seeing her entire pack annihilated. After escaping, Sterlyn creates a friendship with Killian and meets his best friend, Griffin.
I love Killian. He is such a lovable character and I can’t help but to have a love/hate relationship with Griffin. There is definitely a bit of enemies to lovers vibe and fated mates. I really enjoyed how the author wrote their banter because it was funny to listen to. Griffin definitely grew on me and I came to like him towards the end.

The audiobook was a addicting listen and I enjoyed the narrator. It was easy to follow along and distinguish the voices of several characters. If you enjoy paranormal romance with a bang, consider grabbing this book and give it a try. I really enjoyed the first book and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

AMAZING AS ALWAYS

Grey has a special talent for telling stories. I love the way several trilogies intermingle in a series. We all have personal preference on intimate scenes and fighting scenes. I think Grey has found the perfect balance on both. Don’t miss out on her personal brand of the love and passion associated with fated mates.

Book was ok but slow.

This book was ok very slow the heroine was not the brightest bulb in the pack and very immature. Just could not get into the story at all.

Blown away!

Completely blown away! That opening scene completely gutted me but watching Dove push herself to follow her fathers orders and survive was one of the strongest things I’ve seen. Then when Killian finds her and the bond these two have melts my heart. As much as I wanted to murder Griffin you could tell he was struggling with what he was feeling and maybe not completely understanding what was happening but the chemistry that him and dove have is unmatched and explosive. There is plenty of twists and turns to keep on the edge of your seat there is also the mystery element to keep you guessing and then after everything that flipping ending WHAT?! I can’t wait for the next book!!

The secrets of Shadow City

I started this series with the Royal Vampire series and had to come back to the beginning. Book 1 does not disappoint, looking forward to listening to Roding Darkness and Silver Moon. I will tell you that the book ends in a cliffhanger…good thing the 3 books in series are out. I highly recommend this book

Try it.

Truly, I’m on the fence. I was pulled in by the characters, but the plotting needs work. As for the the narrators, they do a decent job. I’ll read book two instead of paying for the audiobook.

So good

This was a really strong start to a series, there was the normal drama that I have come to hope for from a Jen book as well as magnificent world building and best of all also a main character that kept my attention. This is one of those books that I start and then finish and I have become so immersed in the book I’m shocked that I’m in the real world. I can’t wait for more

upside down

when Sterlyn finds herself on the run and almost drowned (when her pack is killed) she finds a friendship with Killian. Her life is further complicated when she is drawn to Griffin, Killian friend while hiding what type of wolf she truly is.

Broken Mate

This book was ok, I finished it and it was a decent romance read but I felt there was a bit lacking and didn't love it.
