Publisher's Summary

A business's overall strategy may be set at board level, but many people throughout the organisation will be involved in deciding that strategy and implementing it - making decisions that are strategic in nature.

On these decisions hangs the future of the business: how successful it is, even whether it is successful. Yet business history is full of strategic decisions, both big and small, that were weak, poorly conceived and consequently disastrous. This book looks at the whole process of strategic decision-making: the forces that influence decision-makers, the traps they fall into, the times when a rational approach to decision-making is required and those when intuition is needed, the techniques that can help managers reach a strategically sound decision, and the questions they should ask themselves before coming to a decision.By looking at the range of strategic decisions that companies face and the techniques - old and new - that can help, this book provides insights into how to make effective strategic decisions.

Jeremy Kourdi is a freelance writer and business consultant. During his career he has worked with many well-known organisations in the UK and internationally including the Economist, IMD Business School in Lausanne and the Chartered Management Institute. He has an MA in International Relations and is the author of twelve business books and many articles.

Comprehensive coverage of different strategies

Content is great with compressive business strategies and angles to think about. Don’t like the 2 second pauses throughout. Overall well worth a listen

I couldn’t get all the way through this title. The narration is terrible. Hard to stay focused given the poor performance.

Getting started is not the first step

The opportunity is simply and inside spark that will light you in tunnel of darkness , and it will very much needed , if that spark is not kept lit even by a match of firewood the water might just take it. Keep up to date with all corners, double You’re eyes, and body … the rest I won’t disclose it’s up to youu to see it for you’re self

Business strategy

Well structured. Comprehensive. Great examples. Great cross referencing. A go-to strategy guide that I will revisit again and again.

Rather boring

The content is appropriate but textbook like with a handful of examples from the business world, making it boring. The title is also misleading, it is rather a review for business management tackling many subjects with an emphasis on strategy. Had to speed up the lecturer not to fall asleep or loose focus.

Great content but technical issue be warned

The content is fantastic but the audio stops at various points and skips to a new part- this is uncommon on audible and should be addressed. Performance is good otherwise - it’s a technical issue

Boring

There’s no proper structure it sounds like a bunch of sentences . Absolutely no linking whatsoever. I couldn’t finish it.
