Good resource for both therapists and clients

I am an occupational therapy student and I wanted to explore these three therapies more in depth. I have found them to be useful, but the specific utility of it will be once I put this into practice. I would recommend that the listener listen intently and take notes, but it’s also good to listen while doing other tasks (walking, house chores). The only complaint I have is the pronunciation of some of the terms i.e. medications and other words was not correct. It was also kind of annoying when she would read “i.e.” instead of saying “for example.” Overall would recommend if someone is completely new to these therapies!

Save my life. Great book

This book had some useful information, but it is overly repetitive and made far too complicated in its structure and use of acronyms across the different sections. If it were well describe using key points, with the associated homework tasks in the same section, then this would have made it more accessible for the professional and client alike.

Excellent!!

Master Your Emotions focuses almost exclusively on negative emotions. In my opinion, this book is ideally suited for people struggling to better understand themselves and the people in their lives. Negative emotions are a call to action, and can become a gift, a guideline, and a support system if viewed from a rational perspective. That said, this book is otherwise an incisive and straightforward guide to understanding the human ego and many of the core motivations behind emotions.

Easy to LISTEN and Well Written

A great book about Master of our emotions. Techniques and ways to handle them constructively. Well written, very structured. A fantastic overview of the subject, that is too often presented in a complicated way in the psychology literature. A guide how to live a better, fuller life.Well written in an easy to read style. Also, I found it very informative.

I profiting by the author's method of thinking.Very elegantly composed and really educational on where and how to best adapt to Emotions. I particularly found the system on Recording My Emotions very accommodating. The book is a superb token of how being sincerely in tuned to make the life we had always wanted.

Excellent book

Excellent listen on the principles of cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I recommend this to anyone who might be suffering from depression, anxiety or negative thinking. It helps you understand how to get yourself out of the rut by thinking differently about any given situation. It's easy to read and not too clinical.

Not really worth listening to

Unfortunately is the review nothing else than an poor up list of headlines about these 3 therapy directions without going deeply in the process of understanding or demonstrations of the methods. You get very quickly bored by the monotonous reading style and loose interest in the listening.
If you want an comparison between different type of therapy like CBT and ACT and on Audible I recommend listening to “A liberated Mind” written and narrated!! by Dr. Steven Heyes. The book is a Pinguin book and you can get it for free with your monthly credits. And if you are looking for a book about CBT and ACT look at Ciarrochi and Bailey’s “ A CBT Practitioner’s Guide to ACT“ which it written with great respect.

"This collection is ok. Interesting for beginners

This bundle is just okay. It is well structured and I liked the way it is narrate, but I didn’t find the book on ACT as interesting as I expected. Maybe because I was expecting a different kind of therapy approach and different topics touched.

With that said, the audible provides interesting insights and it could be ok for people who are approaching these topics for the first time.

Very poorly read. The audio and content is poor.

stopped listening after a short time as the audio is poor to say the least. The way in which it has been read is boring and hard to follow.
The content takes way too long over going over the same stuff instead of getting to the point and giving practical advice.
Don't waste your time with this book.
