Publisher's Summary

Life is perfect for Donna and Kim Boon when they move in with their aunt, until her murder unearths a secret that will alter everything they've ever known.

Donna and Kim Boon moved to Houston, Texas, with their Aunt Lisa when they were orphaned at 10 years old. Lisa raised the girls as her own, showering them with everything a young woman could want. The girls have grown up into beautiful and privileged Houstonites and are two of the most eligible bachelorettes in the city, with more suitors than they know how to handle. Life seems perfect, but when Aunt Lisa is gunned down in cold blood, the girls discover a family secret that will change their lives forever.

deja vu

As this book first started I was really into it I really love Ellis Park's voice but as they got further into the book it started to sound real familiar almost too familiar. The author printed her book in 2015 it was a series called ( The Circle ) and might I add it ends a lot better I really hate that the book was verbatim the only thing changed instead of 2 siblings there were 4 but pretty much everything else was exactly the same as THE CIRCLE smh

A lil upset

I struggled to finish reading it. I love Ellis Park voice so that's the man reason I listened to it. Secondly I live in Houston but there really wasn't any descriptive places besides a club that the name has changed. I think if the story is set in a specific city, then a few landmarks or even streets could've been named🤷🏾‍♀️ The story over all kinda reminded me of the series The Circle Fallon's Story I believe. (It kud be Rainas story...its been a minute) From the long lost love but was supposed to be a mark. To finding out her "captain save a hoe" was actually turning her in. Even the conversation they had before SHE found out that he was with the shxts..."His baby mamas". It was ironic i guess. Being in Houston, it kud have been way better is all. Thankfully Ellis Park got me through it with his sexii voice 🤪🤣

H-Town

I'm from Houston so I was looking for more references to the city but overall the story was good. I knew Keraun was going to be grimey. The girls out there in the world just trying to make it, I totally get that. I really liked Aunt Lisa, she was a baddddd chic. The blast from the past ending made me smile.

😤 this has to be plagiarism!!

I thought my mind was slipping! Why would the author use the EXACT ending (not the very end) of The Circle: Fallon’s story!! I’m saddened by this bc I usually love Treasure’s writing. I feel now that she may have stolen portions of others writing and maybe I actually don’t like her books… very disappointing.

Sounds like a repeat

This book is just like reading pieces out of The Circle: Series except for the characters are different.

What?

At one point I had to check to make sure I hadn’t accidentally changed books. It is the exact same story in parts of this book as another book. Strange

hmmm

As I was listening to this book I was like hmm I read this book before. This book has parts from another book I read. A lot of the same scenarios. A lot of the same story lines just different characters. I'm not going to say what book but it's basically the same. S till liked the book.
