Publisher's Summary
Queen of France by her marriage to Henry II, Catherine dominated Europe's dying Renaissance, manipulating France by her goading of an hysterical and half-demented king. It was a colourful and blood-soaked time that is excitingly brought to life in this biography.

Echo effect makes listening difficult
They use a very annoying echo effect when the characters are speaking which makes it difficult to understand the dialogue. It’s like the editor never listened to it because it is a very poor device that makes me not want to purchase any more books that use this almost incomprehensible device.
