Publisher's Summary

An emotional story of healing, redemption, and love from USA Today best-selling author Kacey Shea.

This summer I'm leaving my hometown for a fresh start. It's a necessary choice in my pursuit of a full and sober life. Besides, escaping to the Outer Banks isn't a hardship. This seaside town holds everything I need and more.

That is, until I run into Chase Matthews.

He's an arrogant, cocky, self-absorbed jerk who has already come between me and my best friend once. The smart thing to do is keep him at a distance, even if he seems lost and alone.

Instead, I'm compelled to help him.

Chase is broken and beautiful in ways I fully understand. It's been months since I've indulged in a drink, but I've found a new obsession.

He's everything I want and the last thing I need.

Each day draws us closer, but I can't allow myself to get caught up in Chase. We were only meant to have the summer. A temporary fling. Yet my heart has other plans. I don't know how I'll ever walk away. Even if he costs me everything.

Enjoy Alicia and Chase's epic love story, Caught in the Chase, or start with Callie's book, Caught in the Flames.

Healing

This book has wrapped itself around my heart and I am in awe at the beauty that has come from such pain with these characters. Nothing is easy in life and Chase and Alicia show us life sometimes pulls you under but you have to keep fighting for tomorrow and take it one day, one hour, one minute at a time and realize you may struggle but you can face your demons and come out on the other side.

Chase and Alicia have a history, a painful and shameful history and so Chase is the last person Alicia wants to see as she is beginning her internship in another town and essentially getting her life on track for her. Chase is being forced to do community service and he just wants to get it over with and move on but when he sees Alicia everything changes for him in ways he never imagined.

This book is going to pull at your heart and also give you those melt you moments from all the sweet and loving things that happen. I was on edge several times wondering what would happen. This is a two part book so you need to read/listen this one first. It is part of a series but you don't have to have read the others in the series but I highly recommend them. You do get all the back story from those as well as all the other characters. This book is just so good, beyond 5 stars for me.

Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood were amazing narrating this book. Great to listen to from start to finish. Loved it.

Redemption at it's finest!!

Kacey!!! I don't know whether I love you or hate you right now!!! Seriously though, you completely killed me with this story!!! I was not a fan of Chase or really Alicia prior to this book. In fact, I'm not sure I would have said they needed or even deserved a happy ending. But this book changed EVERYTHING! Right from the beginning you feel the characters, you get what/how they feel, all of it, the highest of highs and especially when they both hit rock bottom. Chase's journey of discovery and enlightenment is HUGE. Alicia grows in this story, but you can tell still has work to do. I enjoyed getting more some of the side characters from previous books, but we also get to meet some new people around the community center in Kittyhawk. And the narration was absolutely perfect with Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood. The cliffhanger was a killer, but I will be anxiously awaiting the audio of Caught in Us ❤

Captivating, Emotional, and Steamy Romance!

I was totally captivated by this emotional, and steamy romance. Alicia has been working hard to overcome her past bad decisions and addictions. After a heartbreaking event, Chase is just now being forced to face his. he isn't ready to admit he really needs help until he and Alicia are forced to work together. They have a history that Alicia is trying to forget. She is looking for a fresh new start in her life and is not happy to have Chase be a part of that. But the more time they spend together, they both see who they are underneath. They are both facing their need to please others to their detriment and starting to heal and become stronger. But Alicia is afraid to trust in Chase, especially when he is having a hard time proving he is strong enough to face the hard truths. This is such a powerful and compelling love story. Alicia and Chase are such wonderfully flawed and broken characters, and my heart broke for them both, especially during some of the flashback memories. I loved how they worked to be better people, but still face a long road ahead.
The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood was fabulous! They are so perfectly cast as Chase and Alicia, as they skillfully made these characters so clear to me, making me care for them quickly. They took my breath away as they build the tension of the story, and the fiery attraction between Chase and Alicia as well. Their banter was brilliant, and they conveyed the depth and complexity of all their emotions beautifully. I love their dynamic voices, and was completely lost in their performance.
This story will take you on a rollercoaster of emotion and angst, with twists that will keep you totally engaged and will linger in your thoughts long after you finish listening. I can't wait to find out what happens next for Alicia and Chase in Caught in Us!

Emotional and Exceptional! Loved the narration!!

Kacey Shea, Savanna Peachwood, AND Teddy Hamilton? Say less!

Caught in the Chase is another stellar, emotional romance from Kacey Shea and I loved every single chapter. Chase and Alicia’s aretwo broken souls and their story is full of angst, redemption, healing, love, and of course plenty of heat. My heart was in tatters at the end with that cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the second installment and i look forward to more emotions and seeing how the author put mine, Chase, and Alicia’s hearts back together.

Narration was stunning. Both Savanna Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton just oozed emotion and made this story beyond credit worthy. 5 stars.

Caught In the Chase

Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton are always a pleasure to listen to, both superbly capturing the emotions of their characters. Sometimes I have read the book before listening, but not this time. Both narrators did a great job drawing me into the Chase and Alicia’s story.

Caught in the Chase is not a light and entertaining story, rather quite full of real and difficult situations- very well written.

Chase and Alicia

Wow what an emotion ride this is. It has all the feels. It was great to see the previous characters in the series but man this one packs a bunch. The pain these characters go through is heartbreaking. Chase and Alicia are broken and their journey isn't easy not to mention the cliffhanger/pause. I can't wait to finish their journey to see where things land for them. Teddy Hamilton is the perfect voice for Chase and Savanna Peachwood does an amazing job allowing you to feel the emotions also.

Stellar narration!

Hi! I am Kacey Shea, the author of Caught in the Chase. When I casted Savannah and Teddy in this story, I knew it would be good, but after listening I was completely blown away! The emotions! The angst! Their voices elevate this story and I felt every second.

Teddy Hamilton captures Chase and all his struggles with such an honest vulnerability. From his cocky attitude to his fall from grace, Teddy delivers all the feels.

Savannah Peachwood has voiced all the books in this series. What stands out is her ability to create distinctive character voices and maintain them throughout. She's such a talented narrator!

If you love stories that delve into forgiveness, healing, and love, all while providing outstanding narration, then I think you're going to enjoy this book.

Heartbreaking and angsty. The characters are very flawed and have a lot to work through on their own and together. While there were some sweet and cute moments overall this dealt with some heavy issues. It ends on a cliffhanger so you’ll have to wait for the next for your heart to be put back together.

Really Enjoyed It

I am writing this review with two hours left in the audiobook lol

I’m at the point where she has run away scared from their bond and he’s trying to process it all!

AHHHH!! And there’s still a whole other book to get through! THE ANGST! lol

Edited to add: Just finished. This book ends on a soft cliffhanger.

Each of the characters are in a decent place with room for growth apart and together.
Interested to see how it wraps up

Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood—I adore you both that is all lol

Incredible story with great narrators!

Caught In The Chase is the third book in the Caught series and is the first part of Alicia and Chase's story. and its a heart wrenching tale of love, loss and dealing with addiction whilst finding something unexpected.
We've seen glimpses of Alicia and Chase in previous books in the series and now we have their story and what a story it is!
After a devastating accident, Chase is banished to Kittyhawk and has to volunteer at a community centre for the next three months.
Alicia has found a great job for the summer and couldn't be more excited to get away from Richmond and start something new. But what she wasn't expecting was Chase volunteering at the centre too.
Chase and Alicia have a messy history, filled with regret and a lot of alcohol and times they both want to forget.
But during the summer, something unexpected happens, by helping each other with their sobriety, they end up growing closer which then leads to something more.
What Alicia and Chase have created in their KittyHawk bubble is something incredible and something neither of them would of expected or imagined was possible.
But when you can't tell you family and friends about your relationship. Can it last past Kittyhawk or are Chase and Alicia doomed to live by the mistakes of their past?
I loved Caught In The Chase so much, it was so good and very gripping, I couldn't put it down and when I did I was constantly thinking about Alicia and Chase!
Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood done an amazing job of bringing Alicia and Chase to life and I cannot wait for part two of their story!
I received an arc of Caught In The Chase and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

Caught in a fab story

Book 3 in the series . You don’t need to listen to book 1 or 2 . This story by Kacey Shea has everything you will need to stay and listen till the end . Kacey wrote a strong story very well detailed and strong characters. Love how Kacey wrote a story with an issue that ends happy. Both Chase and Alice are Alcoholics both for different issues. Yes Chase is a jerk because of what he’s going through. Once both Chase and Alice meet they help each other get by day by day .

Teddy Hamilton, Savannah Peachwood Performance is fantastic. They brought the characters and story to life. They pull you right in , right beside the characters.

Amazing angsty goodness and perfect narration team

Angsty and heartbreaking, Alicia and Chase’s story is full of pain and hurt. These lead to horrible decisions with awful consequences and both work hard to love with their outcomes. I have to admit, I wasn’t a fan of Chase in the prior books and the beginning of this book made me dislike him even more. Alicia also, seemed like a bit of a spoiled person but like a masterful story teller, Kacey Shea peeled back the layers of the onion and gave us a deeper, often heartbreaking look into what made them the way they were. Difficult issues were tackled, such as alcoholism and even abuse. But they were handled well and realistically, showing that even when you take a step forward, regression is likely when you're fighting an addiction. This is book one of a duet and I reveled in the rest of their path to their HEA in Caught in Us (book 2).

I first read the ebook but then listened to the audiobook, narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton. These two were the perfect narrators for this book. Teddy Hamilton's tough growly voice and Savannah Peachwood's smooth voice really elevated the story, making an emotional story even more so. The audiobook is a fantastic way to experience this story!

So worth the Chase!

I have been waiting for this audio and it was so worth it! This first installment of Chase and Alicia's story is raw and real, grabbing and pulling me into their lives. Alicia has taken a job in the Outerbanks, beginning her new life and dealing with her addiction. She never thought she would see the trigger that had her hitting rock bottom. Chase has been sent to the Outerbanks to fulfill some community service he needs to complete. Not ready to face his addiction, he is dealing with life day by day. That is until Alicia is back in it. Now the two have begun a new path, but where will it take them? I love Kacey Shea's writing. She deals with relevant issues in a compassionate way. There is no sugar coating, each scene giving us the reality of life. These two broken characters are easy to relate to. They delve into your heart, and you just want to help them. Real life is not easy though, and mistakes, relapses and feelings happen. I just want to know where it will all take them! Shea leaves us wanting the next in the series and I can't wait to hear it!

Casting Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood for these roles is genius. Each one plays the broken soul with a true to life feel. The pain is real, and we as listeners are engrossed in the emotional turmoil these two have. Hamilton and Peachwood have voices that are familiar, so the characters are like our family and keep us captivated. I loved their portrayal of these characters.
