These words are about more than "issues". They're about people who sit as close to us as the next pew - or our own. People struggling with problems that sermons or Bible studies alone won't solve. But there is a way the church can help the hurting move beyond their wounds to experience the healing and liberty of Christ.

This eight-part sermon series on the principles of Celebrate Recovery fills a long-standing need in the church in its role as Christ's healing agent. Developed by John Baker and Rick Warren of the renowned Saddleback Church, Celebrate Recovery’s life-changing effectiveness has gained it an explosive, grass-roots popularity. Drawn from the Beatitudes, this sermon series helps people resolve painful problems in the context of the church as a whole. Rather than setting up an isolated recovery community, it helps participants and their churches come together and discover new levels of care, acceptance, trust, and grace.

LIFE CHANGING. WHEN EVERYTHING YOU TRIED DIDN'T WK

Where does Celebrate Recovery rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

For personal Growth. Nothing better. Except maybe the Bible

What did you like best about this story?

It gave me the private abiltiy to evaluate where I am in life and how I got here and why I have had so much trouble changing

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

...FINISH STRONG

Any additional comments?

I think anyone who has over and over wanted a new beginning but just kept ending up in the same old place would be unfair to themselves not to LISTEN, not just hear this book.

Not the book at all

It it wasn't going to be an audio book they shouldn't call it that . It was sermons or something put together which you can see on you tube very unhappy that something very recognized would do something so halfheartedly

NOT the books - 90s sermons from Rick Warren

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This audio is VERY misleading. The content is actually sermons (messages) given by Rick Warren at Saddleback Church from (based on pop culture references he makes) sounds like they're from early 90s. Also intersperced in the audio are multiple testimonies from individuals attending Saddleback's Celebrate Recovery program. While appreciate testimonies, there are so many they this entire thing sounds like an advertisement to join Celebrate Recovery.
I was really hoping this audio was actually an audiobook of the four booklets written by Baker for CR. It is not. Do NOT spend your money or credits on this if you were actually looking for a book.

Not the Celebrate Recovery main book.

Although the publisher summary describes this as "this 25-session fellowship-based curriculum", it is not. Instead, this is a 9 sermon series preached by Rick Warren based on the material of Celebrate Recovery. Despite the usefulness of the sermon series, it was not what I was expected based on how this audio book is portrayed.
